"Shh!"

Sheila made a quieting gesture, signaling to Li Ang behind her that she was receiving a call.

This made Li Ang rember the last ti at his class advisor Sofia’s house, when Sheila had also received a call at a similar mont.

He curiously glanced at the na displayed on the phone screen. Unfortunately, it wasn’t Sofia, but it was a familiar na, albeit Li Ang didn’t know if it was the person he knew.

"Hi, dear, are you missing ?... Hmm~"

...

After exchanging pleasantries, Li Ang discovered that the Catherine displayed on the phone screen was indeed the Catherine from the FBI he knew.

During the conversation, Li Ang even heard his own na coming from the other end of the phone.

"Speaking of which, your younger brother Li Ang, because of his remarkable performance in the last case, caught the attention of my leaders, and thus his information was entered into our database. However, today, a group of professional hackers has been investigating so of his personal information, and our system caught them..."

"Alright, it sounds like the water you’re boiling is ready, let’s stop here. When you’re free, you can pass this along to him, tell him to be more careful lately..."

The call ended, and just as Li Ang finished his business, he felt an unusual thrill, strangely invigorated by the news of his personal danger while on the phone.

Sheila turned around and asked with great concern if Li Ang had offended anyone recently or if he should seek their protection.

Li Ang kept this matter in mind but didn’t dwell on it too much. With his rising fa and even his assets, he expected more such annoying incidents to occur.

Just considering the nature of this incident, the possibilities were indeed varied—it could be an extre fan who paid hackers for his information, or maybe he was caught up in the family feud of Javell, noticed by the opposing side, or related to bicycles, as Li Ang might have affected many people’s interests, and soone wanted to make big news. All these were uncertainties.

Since the information he had was too scanty, even with his analytical ability, it was difficult to draw any substantial conclusions. Rather than being anxious, it was better to focus on himself.

The stronger he beca, the less threatening those external dangers would be to him.

After returning ho, Li Ang slightly modified his recent training plan. Previously, the main goal was still more inclined to improving his [Spirit] and [Physique], thereby accelerating his own developnt, while also preparing for investigating another source of interference on White Island.

Because his combat power was always in an overflow state, Li Ang did not allocate much energy to enhancing his combat power.

Given the current circumstances, Li Ang had to defensively strategize his further developnt. If he didn’t survive now, there’d be no talking about the later stages.

The next morning, Li Ang, through a recomndation from Chris, contacted a publicly listed company specializing in security equipnt to custom order a set of personal protection gear with an unlimited budget.

Such a large company naturally had a departnt catering to high-end clients. Although there were not many people like Li Ang customizing equipnt for personal use, there always were so wealthy individuals interested in this aspect.

For a high-net-worth user like Li Ang, the company imdiately assigned a specialist to cater to him.

"So your requirent is super-high standard protective capability, preferably able to withstand large-caliber bullets, while protecting multiple body parts, with good flexibility, and you don’t need to consider the weight issue..."

After hearing Li Ang’s demands, the specialist was quite surprised, but adhering to the principle that the custor is always right, as long as you pay, any bizarre request could be fulfilled.

The preliminary price estimate for the entire set of equipnt was around three hundred thousand US dollars, not only were the materials top-notch, but it also included many high-tech, individual combat equipnt, along with complintary security services.

Li Ang knew that there might be a lot of markup in this price, but he wasn’t bothered to haggle, as long as the quality was good. He was willing to pay a 100% premium for the extra 10% of performance.

Moreover, part of this price also covered overti pay for their employees.

Normally, it would take about 15 to 20 days to customize the equipnt, but Li Ang, using money, reduced it to only one week. Any faster would be limited by the equipnt itself; there was really no helping it.

You could say they were indeed professionals. The day after placing the order, their company’s specialist flew to Li Ang’s city with professional asuring tools and collected various asurents of Li Ang’s body.

Putting other things aside, just the level of commitnt made it worth spending the money.

With his body defense sorted, the next step naturally was to strengthen his offense.

Li Ang got into his GTR and headed straight for the shooting range he had visited before.

Along the way, he drove as fast as he could, not because he was in a hurry, but as a way to practice his driving skills.

With reaction and visual capability as strong as his, driving over 100 kiloters per hour on urban roads was truly stress-free.
