Chris had been itching for action, once believing he had grown tired of the hail of bullets and never knowing how long he’d live.

That’s why he later turned to teaching and eventually beca a bodyguard.

But after living such a plain life for too long, not feeling the adrenaline rush for a while, his body seed to have a withdrawal response, making him sowhat uncomfortable.

He had yet to et any master who dared to challenge him, not even for a friendly spar.

Put simply, so things you can fool others with, but not yourself, which ant everyone had a clear idea of their own capabilities.

Now, faced with Li Ang’s invitation, Chris quickly felt his heartbeat rise a notch due to excitent.

However, being a bodyguard required a certain level of awareness, so he first sought Javell’s opinion.

Though he was actually curious to see what a fight between the two would look like, Javell’s appreciation for Chinese Kung Fu did not an he would blindly praise it.

For soone who practiced traditional martial arts, facing Chris, a seasoned veteran who had been a combat instructor for the SEALs, Javell had a rough idea of what the outco would be.

A year ago, during a visit to a martial arts teacher at a large dojo, Javell had just happened to witness a challenge match.

Since the teacher’s dojo was in trouble during the match, Javell had the whimsical idea to have Chris step in to see if he could help resolve the situation.

The result was that the challenger, who had been winning several matches, was subdued by Chris within three seconds, losing his ability to resist.

This had a significant impact on Javell, and it was only because he always held the belief that there must be experts in traditional martial arts he hadn’t found yet, that he didn’t give up on this ideal.

"Chris, be a bit careful with your moves," Javell said.

Javell didn’t say too much, as that might have been embarrassing for Li Ang, but he felt that if he didn’t say anything, Li Ang might not get off so easily physically.

"Please!"

Li Ang simply stood in place, waiting for Chris to make his move.

Usually, taking the initiative would be advantageous, but that didn’t align with his intention.

He wasn’t aiming to take down Chris in one move to show off in front of his students; he wanted to objectively demonstrate how traditional martial arts should respond in such a scenario.

Chris eyed the casually standing Li Ang, who seed to be full of weak spots at first glance. He felt he could choose more than a dozen ways to take Li Ang down with one move.

But considering his boss had finally found a decent coach, Chris decided to spare Li Ang so dignity.

Although he chose to attack a weak point like the joints, he deliberately slowed his speed, giving Li Ang ti to react.

To his surprise, under these circumstances, Li Ang maintained the sa speed in response. Faced with his grappling technique, Li Ang chose to confront it head-on.

Just as Chris’s hand barely touched Li Ang’s shoulder, Li Ang’s hand also reached the sa spot on him.

In this situation, Chris wasn’t panicked at all, having studied human muscle and joint anatomy—not only was he impressive in practice, but also theoretically invincible. He couldn’t figure out how he could lose.

But as he exerted force with his palm, Chris was surprised to find Li Ang’s shoulder joint had voluntarily dislocated. What should have been a firm grip on a joint beca impossible to find as the point of attack had shifted.

At the sa mont, Li Ang’s hand on his shoulder moved. His technique was different from Chris’s—where one was grappling, the other was more like physical therapy.

With just a press and a sweep of his fingers on the joint, Chris felt his entire arm lose strength.

He knew his arm had been dislocated, but he wasn’t surprised. If it hadn’t been for the unexpected movent in Li Ang’s joint, Chris believed he could have done the sa.

"Need help?"

Li Ang offered his hand, asking if Chris needed help in recovery.

But Chris, having just lost face, naturally would not accept help from Li Ang. He simply used his other arm to push and twist, promptly resetting his joint into place.

Watching this, Li Ang couldn’t help but grimace. Indeed, it was the quickest way to recover, but it also ca with significant pain and slight damage to the muscles and ligants.

However, this was in line with Chris’s nature; in ergencies, one must use such thods to save one’s life first and worry about other things later.

Though Chris was quite curious about how Li Ang had controlled his joint, he knew it wasn’t the ti to ask. He assud a ready stance and called out to Li Ang:

"Let’s go again!"

Having gauged Li Ang’s strength, he didn’t continue with the probing attacks but went straight for Li Ang’s groin.

After all, this wasn’t a match in the ring, and the techniques he had learned were ant to achieve the most effective results as swiftly as possible—groin strikes and eye pokes were just the basics.
