[Dove Martial Fate] watched Li Ang’s match videos all through the night, and then fell into a long silence.

Earlier, upon seeing Li Ang’s videos, he had felt that his [Tongbei Quan] skills might be slightly superior, but now Li Ang’s level had left him far behind.

How much ti had passed? He could also be considered a martial arts prodigy, but when comparisons arise, they could be discouraging; this type of comparison was nearly breaking his resolve to practice martial arts.

Furthermore, this wasn’t the most crucial point. The key was that Li Ang’s expertise wasn’t limited to this particular martial art; to his eyes, Li Ang had also trained in at least one Sideways Training Martial Art.

This martial art had thoroughly compensated for his defensive weaknesses, and as for the level, it was of the kind that Dove Martial Fate couldn’t comprehend.

As the night passed, [Dove Martial Fate] ca to a realization: there will always be many people in the world beyond one’s reach, and if he couldn’t surpass them, it wasn’t too bad to ride their coattails.

Regardless, Li Ang’s victory had sparked a craze for traditional martial arts, and Dove Martial Fate’s following had grown more rapidly these past few days.

...

Upon arriving in the city where Li Ang resided, the first thing Javell and his team did was to purchase a wealthy estate near Li Ang’s house.

This ti, he had brought practically his entire private team, which included four regular bodyguards and a personal bodyguard, plus a versatile butler, for any trip.

All in all, Li Ang had co to form a new understanding of the wealthy.

Regarding Javell’s tuition, Li Ang knew that he could probably charge a million US dollars and still get it.

But that would make him appear too greedy and that didn’t align with his initial intention in taking disciples.

In the end, he symbolically collected ten thousand dollars in tuition; he felt that even this price of ten thousand dollars a month was quite expensive, but anything less would be aningless—it was like pocket change to Javell, with no real value.

"Show what you’ve mastered so far."

Dressed in sportswear, Li Ang stood in the yard of the newly purchased villa and said to Javell.

Javell was quite excited. Although he had learned from several so-called "kung fu masters" before, none of them had any real combat experience, which was the biggest difference from Li Ang.

They all had an impressive deanor, but their teaching was nothing more than rote instruction of so-called standard movents. When asked when they would see results, the response was either to discourage haste in seeking success or to say it would take at least three to five years just to reach the beginner level.

Therefore, he was quite eager to see what would be different about Li Ang’s teaching.

On the lawn, Javell practiced various moves he had learned, involving well-known styles like Tai Chi, Xing Yi, and Hung Kuen.

And truth be told, so of his movents did look quite well-ford.

This alone showed that Javell was genuinely interested in martial arts and had practiced seriously.

After practicing non-stop for ten minutes, he sat panting on the grass, looking expectantly at Li Ang, waiting for his assessnt.

However, Li Ang did not give a direct evaluation but asked another question instead.

"What was your original intention in learning these martial arts? Or, to put it another way, what is your goal?"

This question honestly took Javell by surprise.

"Maybe... like in the movies, to be a hero, to defeat so bad guys or sothing..."

He scratched his head, suddenly feeling that his way of speaking was sowhat vague, or perhaps, he didn’t even know what he truly wanted.

But Li Ang understood.

"Let summarize it for you. Essentially, you want to master a set of movents that look cool and also possess real combat capabilities, right?"

Javell nodded enthusiastically, confirming that Li Ang had hit the nail on the head.

It was then that Li Ang finally offered his comnts:

"Most of the movents you just did were actually accurate, but that’s just it, they were accurate in form. Many of the techniques you perford, you haven’t grasped their intrinsic aning."

"For instance, the stance you take when preparing, why do you stand like that? Do you know that you should adopt different preparatory stances facing different opponents? Did you consider your center of gravity when standing?"

Li Ang bombarded Javell with questions, leaving him baffled.

Of course, he didn’t expect a martial arts hobbyist who had just graduated from elentary school to understand all of this. These questions were essentially just teaching techniques.

The purpose was to make him realize his shortcomings and maintain a humble attitude, which would lead to better teaching outcos.

Don’t ask how Li Ang knew this; the trainers invited by his company at work were all experts in their fields.

After explaining so theoretical knowledge and helping establish a general direction, Li Ang began the actual combat training.

This is what set him apart from those "kung fu masters," who would at most teach him routine sparring and feeding moves, but it was definitely not possible to get into a real fight with them.

Although there are records of real combat between martial arts masters, when things got heated, they would all revert to Wang Ba Quan, forgetting every martial arts routine they had practiced for decades. This was the consequence of not integrating practice with practical application.
