Chapter 650: Chapter 398: eting of the Nascent Souls, the Exceptional Displays Magic and Martial Artist Zhao Yi

The autumn was high and crisp, with not a cloud in the vast sky.

On this day, a golden blaze suddenly ca from the southwest, traveling across the sky with incredible speed, racing toward the far western horizon.

Below, the great earth unfolded endlessly, with rows upon rows of neatly arranged spirit fields stretching to the ends of the world.

A mont later, a stunningly beautiful spirit peak suddenly ca into Zhao Sheng’s view.

Gazing at the mountain, full of lush greenery and surging with spirit light, Zhao Sheng’s lips curved up slightly, knowing that Azure Mist Peak, his destination, was now right before his eyes.

Just then, the void in front of him rippled, and a middle-aged man with a refined Confucian appearance materialized out of thin air.

This person had a high crown and broad band, his white robe as pure as snow, and an air of elegance that seed to set him apart from the mundane world, as if an immortal had descended to the mortal plane.

Zhao Sheng suppressed his tunneling light and set his gaze on the man, thinking for a mont, a na imdiately surfaced in his mind.

Qu Feng, with a Single Spirit Root of the wind attribute, was taken in by the family years ago, and had now beco the thirteenth Nascent Soul Ancestor of the Southern Sky Zhao Family.

“Haha, is that you, the sixteenth brother? Qu Feng has been waiting here for quite so ti!”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Sheng replied with a smile and a cupped fist: “Qiong Tian has seen the thirteenth ancestor. I’ve long heard from the Sixth Ancestor about the thirteenth ancestor’s elegant and amiable nature, and his extraordinary grace. Seeing you today, I find the reputation is indeed well-deserved.”

He wasn’t surprised that Qu Feng was able to wait here in advance; it was surely because Zhao Shanhe had sent the information ahead of ti.

“Sixteenth brother, you can’t say such things in front of the Third Ancestor and the others. Otherwise, Qu Feng would be too embarrassed to show his face in the future. Wait until you et Brother Zhou, then you’ll know what true grace and incomparability are.”

“Oh, could the thirteenth ancestor be referring to Elder Zhou Li, the Eleventh Ancestor?” Zhao Sheng asked.

“Who else could it be? Let’s not talk about that now. Co with ; the Third Ancestor and the others are waiting at the top of Azure Mist Peak.”

As he spoke, Qu Feng swept his wide sleeve, and two white spirit clouds appeared out of nowhere, lifting him and Zhao Sheng, and quickly floated towards Azure Mist Peak.

Before long, the spirit clouds drifted above Azure Mist Peak, then gradually landed on a gold-paved courtyard at the summit. At the end of the courtyard stood a majestic, splendid bright yellow palace with the words “Unison Hall” written on the plaque above it— the strokes bold and powerful, emanating a profound might like that of a mountain.

Zhao Sheng, looking at Unison Hall, was overco with emotion.

At this mont, Qu Feng straightened his clothes and strode toward the palace, with Zhao Sheng following behind.

A few breaths later, the two entered Unison Hall, one after another. Zhao Sheng looked around and saw deep within the hall was a nine-tiered Jade Table, on which six large golden thrones sat. Two were unoccupied, while the remaining four were already seated with four figures.

And behind the twenty or so Jade Tables below, most were already taken by individuals of extraordinary bearing, all of whom were unmistakably Golden Core Masters.

Qu Feng laughed heartily, gliding up to the Jade Table and sitting on one of the thrones.

Seeing this, Zhao Sheng levitated and, in a flash, landed on the last throne, making himself comfortable without any hesitation.

The elder with the clean beard, Zhao Changdu, sitting among the six, saw Zhao Sheng safely settling down and imdiately spoke with a smile on his face: “Qiong Tian, you’ve made us wait! Co, let introduce you first.”

As he spoke, he gestured toward the first person on his left side. This was a middle-aged Confucian Scholar, handso and extraordinary, with features so perfect that even soone as handso as Zhao Sheng felt slightly inferior.

“Zhou Li, ranked eleventh among the ancestors, the Fellow Daoists outside call him the Flawless Scholar, or the Jade Scholar. But so also call him House Exterminator.”

“How can the Third Ancestor tarnish soone’s reputation for no reason? I’m nothing more than a plain and ordinary scholar. Where did this infamous title of ‘House Exterminator’ co from? Sixteenth brother, do not listen to the Third Ancestor’s ramblings.”

Zhao Sheng nodded slightly, smiling and raising his hands in greeting: “Qiong Tian has t Ancestor Zhou. I also know that the Third Ancestor tends to fancy giving people fanciful nicknas, so I won’t take his words to heart.”

Hearing this, Zhao Changdu shook his head as if helplessly, then glanced at Zhao Sheng, his gaze passing over Zhou Li and resting on another figure.

Zhao Sheng followed his gaze and saw a man whose face was honest and ordinary, wearing a light green lined robe, with an entirely down-to-earth deanor, resembling a farr who had been sowing the land for most of his life.

“Old Fourteen, Zhao Fushi… There’s not much to say about him. He’s a rare Spiritual Agriculture Grandmaster in our realm. If you ever lack Spiritual dicine, go to him.”

Zhao Sheng imdiately beca solemn upon hearing this, and said earnestly, “A mber of the Qiong generation… Zhao Qiongtian, has t Ancestor Fu Ji.”

“Good…good, Qiong Tian, if you… if you ever need any spiritual dicine or spirit seeds, you can co to ,” Zhao Fushi said, obviously not adept with words, stuttering out a sentence.

“Qiong Tian also enjoys cultivating dicine and practicing alchemy. I will surely visit in the future and ask for your guidance,” said Zhao Sheng very earnestly.

In the Cultivation World, spiritual farming had always been considered the most basic of the Hundred Skills of Immortal Cultivation, chosen only by those with inferior spiritual roots who had no hope of further cultivation.

It was nothing short of a miracle that Zhao Fushi, with his inferior qualifications of Four Spirit Roots, had managed to break through to the Nascent Soul Realm against all odds.

For Zhao Fushi, the Spiritual Agriculture Grandmaster, Zhao Sheng held not a trace of contempt but instead a great deal of respect.

At this ti, Zhao Changdu’s gaze moved to the last person, his expression no longer relaxed and unrestrained, but rather more solemn.

Zhao Sheng also looked over to find the last person was an old man with no brows or beard, his face crisscrossed with wrinkles, his body thin as a stick, but with a skeletal fra so large it was frightening.
