This is an endless Skeleton Land, with a dark and silent sky. An enormous eye is watching everything, occupying most of the Heavenly Vault, emitting an indescribable sense of terrifying pressure.
Not long after, at the edge of the Skeleton Land, dust suddenly billowed up, the ground trembled slightly, and two gigantic black shadows ca rushing from the distance, stirring up clouds of bone dust along the way.
Zhao Sheng and the pitch-black giant bear raced side by side towards an unknown distance, seeing along the way bones piled like mountains, with giant skeletons as large as mountain ranges becoming more common.
During the journey, fresh skeletons frequently fell from the sky, not only various animal skeletons but also many strange half-human, half-beast skeletons.
After so ti, Zhao Sheng noticed, sowhat surprised, that the Skeleton Land was gradually sloping downwards, as if a vast basin lay ahead.
About an hour later, Zhao Sheng had traveled over two thousand miles, now surrounded by skeletons as large as mountains, their bones glistening like jade and emitting a faint blood light.
Looking around, a blood light spread across the land, and the skeletons stood like towering mountain ranges, extrely eerie and terrifying.
"We’ve arrived!"
A mont later, the pitch-black giant bear suddenly roared and stopped beside an enormous skeleton that appeared dragon-like yet not a dragon.
Seeing this, Zhao Sheng kicked the ground with force, his massive body shooting like an arrow, landing atop a Dragon Whale’s skull hundreds of feet away.
The Dragon Whale skull was over two thousand feet in diater, standing atop it resembled standing in the center of a wide plaza.
Zhao Sheng raised his hand to his brow, gazing into the distance. In front was a skyward blood light, dark and chaotic, obscuring what dangers lay hidden beyond.
He sensed an extre terror emanating from the depths of the darkness, an instinctive fear rising as if facing a mortal enemy.
Zhao Sheng withdrew his gaze, turning to the pitch-black giant bear leaning against a skeleton, and asked cautiously, "Old Bear, later we’ll cross the Reincarnation Gate together. Surely now you can tell about the formidable enemy we’ll face?"
"To be honest, little brother, even I, Old Bear, don’t know what kind of monster the enemy will be. In the first gate crossing, it was a Peacock Ming King blocking the way. The second ti, it beca a Golden Winged Roc King. As for the third ti, who knows, maybe another Holy Beast Corpse Spirit. Only it knows."
As he spoke, the giant bear suddenly rubbed its back and pointed upwards with its paw.
Zhao Sheng was montarily startled, suppressing the urge to look up. That strange eye in the sky was bizarrely powerful; staring at it repeatedly could make one lose reason.
Just then, the giant bear sighed and muttered, "Well, let’s wait! Phoenix, Vermilion Bird, Six Teeth, Lady Zhang... I wonder how many old friends we’ll et again?"
Upon hearing this, Zhao Sheng’s heart was moved, silently noting down the nas.
After waiting roughly seven or eight hours, a red light suddenly appeared on the horizon, and the next mont, a mass of crimson Fire Cloud erged, racing this way.
A short mont later, as the Fire Cloud approached, a massive mountain-like corpse fell from it after a swirl.
With a rumble, the corpse hit the ground, raising clouds of bone ash.
Upon closer inspection, Zhao Sheng realized it was the body of a Six-toothed White Elephant, its form as large as mountains and its six luminous white tusks over a hundred feet long, emitting a cold, chilling light.
"So it’s... the Phoenix is here, haha!" The giant bear suddenly leapt up, raising its head towards the Fire Cloud and laughing loudly.
Before the laughter stopped, the Fire Cloud suddenly contracted, and then a Phoenix Bird—golden-red with a Phoenix Crown plumage, elegantly graceful—slowly descended.
This Phoenix Bird, just three ters in size, appeared delicate and small, yet the mighty aura it naturally emanated was profoundly unfathomable.
Hmm?!
At the sight of the Phoenix, Zhao Sheng’s heart trembled, inexplicably sensing an ominous feeling.
Just then, the Phoenix Bird seed to notice, its flaming gold eyes glancing over, filled with wonder and scrutiny.
It carefully observed Zhao Sheng repeatedly, the doubt in its eyes vanished, replaced by ecstatic joy and excitent.
Seeing this, Zhao Sheng’s heart sank, at once sensing sothing.
"Who are you? Why do you seem so familiar to ?" The Phoenix stared at Zhao Sheng, suddenly asking, its voice pleasant and clear, yet imbued with an undeniable majesty.
Zhao Sheng’s eyes flickered as he calmly replied, "I am a nobody. Mr. Phoenix, you must be mistaken."
The Phoenix raised its feathers, speaking firmly, "My profound eyesight doesn’t err. You... are undoubtedly the Divine Beast Envoy; don’t think to deceive ."
Saying this, the Phoenix’s crown shone red, a silver mask flitting briefly in the red light, featuring an abstract, ancient Phoenix motif.
In an instant, Zhao Sheng’s hair stood on end, then quickly smoothed down again.
"Oh, I know nothing of this Divine Beast Envoy; you must have mistaken ," Zhao Sheng denied flatly, expressionless.
"Haha, regardless of your admission, I’m taking you to the Immortal Venerable for judgnt," said the Phoenix Bird, flapping its wings, injecting red light into the Tianqiong, bathing half the sky in fiery red.
Zhao Sheng took a step back, his body expanding rapidly, emitting a terrifying aura.
"Hold on!" The giant bear, witnessing the scene, hurriedly called to stop.
