Arriving at the edge of the newly emerged city center, Xuan Hao cautiously extended his divine sense to try and observe the visible wall of spatial currents that had formed around the core of the city. Soon enough feeling his divine sense being swallowed up by those terrifying currents before being torn apart a few seconds later. Giving him no chance to sense the internal condition beyond what little he could see through the spatial currents, which wasn’t much beyond the towering presence of the ancient towers, buildings and other structures that remained shrouded and made it impossible to see anything beyond their general shape.

Still, though his divine sense had been torn apart by the spatial currents that almost seemed to be guarding the heart of the city, he did manage to get a general grasp over the current state of those spatial currents and through this determined that it should indeed be possible for him to establish a passage into the heart of the city on his own without having to rely on the passage belonging to the city lord.

Of course, even though he could create a passage, he also understood that it was best not to do so immediately, as the place he was currently standing was still a busy street that had once cut straight through the city and been the main mercial street of the ancient city before being cut in half by the emergence of the ancient city center.

The number of people around not only made it inconvenient to carve out a new path into the newly emerged city center, but it also made it almost certain that his little passage would end up drawing the attention of the city lord and the other powerful figures that were now roaming the city. After all, though most had e with the intention of entering the core of the city where the city lord had obtained an opportunity to breakthrough to the Late Stage of the Void Integration Realm, most didn’t enter immediately and instead waited around to see how others were doing and if it wa safe for them to enter.

Amongst the people waiting were mostly those at the Void Monarch Realm and below, as entering the core of the city that had just emerged wasn’t just dangerous but also an extremely expensive endeavor that they couldn’t afford to take carelessly as the city lord would charge them for every time they entered. Meaning should they enter for a few minutes before leaving, the city lord would still charge them full price once they attempted to enter again.

Negligible as the strength of these people were, their unique cultivation path meant that every single one of them was extremely sensitive to the spatial environment around them and even if his prehension of the Dao of Space might exceed those at the Void Monarch Realm and below, they would still be able to sense his spatial manipulation once he attempted to create a new path into the city center.

In fact, when he had just attempted to check the internal situation with his divine sense, the small spatial disturbance caused by the spatial currents when they crushed his divine sense had been picked up by the surrounding cultivators, but given this was one of the busiest places and he wasn’t the only one curious about the new heart of the city, it didn’t draw much attention beyond a few curious looks. Curious because the special nature of the spatial currents meant anyone below the Void Monarch Realm was unable to even pierce through the surface of the wall and trigger a reaction.

Something that once again reminded him of the fact that one of the weaknesses of this unique cultivation path was the exceptionally weak divine sense and in turn weaker soul pared to someone like himself.

To be honest, paring his divine sense to that of the locals, he had a feeling that it might even be possible for him to imitate someone in the Void God Realm with his already powerful divine sense, something he did plan to try out when the anomaly here inevitably drew the attention of those powerful figures.

Thoughts wandering for a good few seconds as he began moving away from the busy mercial street, Xuan Hao found himself in a still busy part of the city, something that was impossible to avoid given how much attention Desolate River City was drawing with the emergence of ancient ruins in the middle of it. The main difference from the even busier main mercial street being the fact that the cultivation of those around was far weaker, with most being locals that had escaped to this part of the city to avoid accidentally bumping into some powerful figure that had e for the ancient city center. Working perfectly in his favor, as there wasn’t anyone around who would be able to pick up on small spatial anomalies he caused when digging out a new path into the ancient city core.

And so, finding an isolated alley that just so happened to be connected to the ancient city core at the end, Xuan Hao began to slowly guide the spatial currents that blocked his path around a small door shaped entrance just wide enough for him to fit through. Pushing the door frame that had formed at the very edge of the spatial currents forward. Allowing it to slowly dig out a channel into the core of the city, while the alley he had found for himself remained isolated from the outside. Having made sure to set up a few basic concealment formations that wouldn’t trigger the defensive formation of Desolate River City to hide himself from people passing by on the small street connected to the alley.

The entire situation ended up going far better than Xuan Hao had originally anticipated once he realized how difficult it would be to do anything related to the Dao of Space without being noticed by the locals and before long, a small door shaped passage formed leading directly into the core of the city from the pletely opposite side of where the passage used by the city lord was located, something he had done to ensure he was as far away as possible from where the different powerful figures had gathered to avoid detection.

The only real problem with this passage was the fact that it took a little over ten minutes to create. Meaning if he wanted to leave the ancient city center, he would need at least ten minutes of time to slowly build out a new passage.

Of course, he intended to keep the passage he had just created around, but the chance of it being discovered was high.

After all, though he had hidden himself using some basic concealment formations, those formations were truly basic and could easily be seen through by someone in the Void Monarch Realm, and with how many people were gathering towards Desolate River City, a Void Monarch Realm cultivator was bound to pass by the passage he had created at some point in time and discover his passage.

Still, even with this, he preferred keeping the passage open over closing it behind him once he entered the core of the city center. Not just to ensure he had an escape path in case something went wrong, but also because closing the passage he had created wasn’t a simple endeavor and would cause a rather large spatial disturbance as the spatial currents came rushing forth to full the door shaped gap he had created in the spatial currents, something that in turn was bound to immediately draw the attention of every powerful figure within the city. Including the city lord, who would immediately know what had happened, as he himself undoubtedly also had the ability to create a similar passage into the heart of the city.

Just thinking about how the city lord might chase after him to figure out if he had found something of immense value inside that made him use this different method of entry was painful to think about and something he wanted to avoid if possible.

In his eyes, it was far better if one or two people at the Void Monarch Realm just so happened to find the spatial passage he had created and get a free pass into the ancient city center. Knowing that dealing with a few Void Monarch Realm cultivators was simple for him in case it was needed.

With that in mind, Xuan Hao stepped through the door-shaped passage and officially entered the ancient city core. Feeling the spatial current swilling around him threatening to tear him apart within the passage before finding himself on an ancient street sandwiched between equally ancient buildings that towered thousands of meters into the sky before disappearing amidst the spatial winds that shrouded the sky of the city center. Making it impossible to gleam the true size of those ancient structures from a single glance.
