Chapter 15: Autumn Wind Sword

" Master, I have finished eating now! We can begin the training when you are ready!"

Just as Xuan Hao finished a single qi circulation through his ridians, Qing Yi's voice could once again be heard just outside the door to his room.

"Great, then we will begin the training now." With those short words, Xuan Hao got up from his ditative position and walked to his door.

Qing Yi, who was waiting on the other side of the door was shocked at suddenly seeing her master co out, but quickly smiled happily before following her master out of the pavilion and into a small training court located on the sa mountain peak as the pavilion.

The training court itself was around a few hundred square ters in size, way bigger than Qing Yi had imagined it would be. Her family ho was even a little smaller than this training court.

And this training court was only used for her master and his disciples! Back at ho, she had to share a few square ters of space at the training court with other family disciples…

"Okay, we have arrived at the training court, you will be able to train here whenever you want to. For now, shall we begin with training your techniques?"

The difference was way too much from what she was used to, and Qing Yi simply stood there. Only when her master talked to her, did she manage to recover her bearing to so degree.

"Y-yes!"

"Okay then, for starters we will look at what techniques you use, and I will help you point out areas you lack in."

Saying so, Xuan Hao stood still as he waited for his disciple to display her techniques.

Qing Yi didn't say anything and instead started to move the qi in her body as she unsheathed her sword and let the qi flow through it according to the sword technique her family had taught her.

"Hah!"

Letting out a small growl, Qing Yi swung her sword in the air as light extended from the blade of the sword by a few centitres and hit nothing but the empty air.

"Hmm, a sword technique of the Low Tier Earth Rank… What is it called?"

Xuan Hao looked at the Sword Technique Qing Yi preford and intuitively knew what rank and tier it was as he asked Qing Yi for the na of the Sword Technique.

"It's called Autumn Wind Sword; my dad ca up with it after reaching the Core Formation Realm."

"Your dad is indeed impressive to co up with sothing like that."

Xuan Hao told Qing Yi, he really ant it as well.

An Earth Rank Technique was used by people in the Core Formation Realm and the Nascent Soul Realm. For soone who had just reached the Core Formation Realm and create an Earth Rank Technique? It was talented and extrely rare in the Heavenly Sky Kingdom, even if it was only a low-tier Earth Rank Technique.

Compared to a Mortal Rank Technique used by Qi Condensation and Foundation Establishnt Realm cultivators, an Earth Rank Technique was mostly only used by Nascent Soul cultivators in small kingdoms like the Heavenly Sky Kingdom.

For a Core Formation Realm cultivator to use an Earth-Rank technique when the rest were still stuck using Mortal Rank Techniques…

It looked like Qing Yi had quite an impressive father.

"But there is still quite a lot of flaws when you use the Autumn Wind Sword. From what I can see, you are supposed to use the qi to manipulate the wind around the sword and increase its speed, while also strengthening the blade of the sword to deal a maximum amount of damage to the opponent!"

"Yes, my father said so as well! But I always felt like it was lacking sothing whenever I used it…"

"Haha, indeed, even if your father tried his best to help guide you, it is still an Earth Rank Technique. You will not be able to use its full strength before you reach the Core Formation Realm." Xuan Hao chuckled quietly as he told Qing Yi.

"For now, instead of focusing on both strengthening the blade of the sword and the speed, try to focus only on one of the two aspects. Let's start with strengthening the blade of the sword, as that should be easier to do than manipulating the wind around the sword."

Xuan Hao smiled brightly as he taught his disciple how to go about learning how to use the Autumn Wind Sword her father had given her.

The Technique itself was relatively simple for Xuan Hao, use wind to increase the speed of the sword, while simultaneously using the qi to strengthen the power of the sword.

Compared to so higher tier Earth Rank Techniques that allowed a cultivator to use his or her divine sense to control the energy between the heaven and earth to perform a devastating attack.

A good example would be a common technique used by Nascent Soul cultivators to deal with relatively weaker cultivators called Gods Palm. It was in essence just a giant gathering of energy from the heaven and earth, ford into a giant palm that could be used to simply squash cultivators below the Nascent Soul Realm.

It was also convenient as the user of Gods Palm could control what would and would not be affected by the technique. aning the giant palm could press down on an entire city, yet not damage it at all and only killing the intended target.

Qing Yi listened to what Xuan Hao told her and quickly started practicing the technique according to what her master told her and only focused on using her qi to strengthen the blade of the sword.

"Hah!"

Half an hour quickly passed with Qing Yi swinging at the empty air as she slowly felt her control over the qi inside the sword increase as ti passed.

"Great, now try to attack this!"

Just as Qing Yi started to feel confident in her sword skills, Xuan Hao interrupted her.

Looking to where her master was pointing a training dummy had appeared.

The training dummy looked ordinary, but Qing Yi did not dare to underestimate it and attacked it with all her strength, executing the Autumn Wind Sword while only focusing on the strength aspect as her master had told her.

Swoosh

The sword flew through the air as it soon hit the training dummy.

"…"

Nothing happened, only a small scratch was left behind on the training dummy, making Qing Yi speechless.

"Good progress so far, from now on, I want you to continue training in strengthening aspect of the Autumn Wind Sword. When you can cut at least 2 centitres into the training dummy, we will move on to training the speed aspect of the Autumn Wind Sword. Cultivation will wait for now, as it would be best to first awaken your dormant divine physique before beginning with that."

Xuan Hao said as he turned around and left the training court.

"Rember to take breaks from ti to ti and co to my room when you succeed or have any questions regarding how to strengthen the blade of your sword further."

Looking at her master disappearing from the training court, Qing Yi focused back onto the training dummy as she put her full attention into doing what her master said.

"Hah!"

Swinging her sword down towards the training dummy, Qing Yi began practicing the Autumn Wind Sword. Hoping that she could beco as good as her father was when he used it.
