Chapter 133: Wasteful Elder from the Seven Fates Sect

Leaving both Qing Yi and Chu Yang to recover so of their strength at the small stone bench that he created, Xuan Hao left the two of them as he started walking around the summit of the Third Star peak.

The summit of the Third Star Peak was even larger than the Ninth Star Peak but compared to the lush forest atop the Ninth Star peak, the Third Star Peak was way more barren as the only thing present were a few platforms in the shape of giant lotus flowers spread out with a few hundred ters between them.

On each of the lotus flower platforms a few elderly cultivators could be seen in deep ditation as they tried to reach an even higher realm with the assistance from the violent, yet dense qi present at Third Star Peaks summit.

The lotus flower platforms themselves were not sothing that had been there for a long ti but was instead sothing that had recently been created by the elder from the Seven Fates Sect that broke through to the Nascent Soul Realm at the Third Star Peak.

It was said that he had co to the Third Star Peak a little over a hundred years ago to build the platforms shaped like lotus flowers with a formation inside them to make the violent qi less violent for the people ditating on top of them.

How the formation worked under the violent qi, Xuan Hao had no idea, but he still admired the elder from the Seven Fate Sects kid gesture towards all the elderly cultivators coming to look for an opportunity to breakthrough like he had in the past.

It was rare to find soone kind enough among cultivators to go out of their way to help others to this degree, especially when it was sothing like constructing several hundred formations that were quite expensive.

Xuan Hao had read a bit about it and rembered that the elder from the Seven Fates Sect had gotten into quite a bit of trouble constructing the lotus flower platforms and formations hidden inside.

Firstly, the Third Star Peak was inside the Flying Sword Sect's territory and secondly, the Seven Fates Sect was not that keen on wasting so many resources for nothing other than a slight improvent to their image among the masses.

In the end, the elder managed to construct the several hundred lotus flower platforms currently present on top of the Third Star Peak. Back then, it was rumoured that he had planned to build way more than just that on top of the Third Star Peak and it seed like even to this day, the elder fought for an opportunity to build more on top of the Third Star Peak.

"Honestly, what an interesting person…" Smiling awkwardly upon thinking about having an elder that fought over investing resources into the territory owned by another sect, Xuan Hao made his way over to an empty lotus flower platform close to the edge of the summit.

Putting his hand atop the platform, Xuan Hao moved his divine sense into the platform so as to inspect it.

He really wondered what kind of resources that the elder from the Seven Fates Sect used that had caused the Seven Fates Sect to try their best to stop him.

After all, even if he wasted a few resources here and there, he was still a Nascent Soul Realm Expert above the third stage.

"This is!" Seeing the formation hidden beneath the lotus flower platform, Xuan Hao felt shocked to the extre as he smiled awkwardly. Luckily that elder had ended up joining the Seven Fates Sect instead of the Flying Sword Sect back then! If not, they might have had to deal with sothing even worse than the beast tars…

The thing that shocked Xuan Hao so badly was a small crystal located in the centre of the formation hidden inside of the lotus flower platform.

"Cloud Crystal…" That was the na of the small crystal located inside of the formation, it was extrely rare and hard to co by for people below the Domain Lord Realm.

Xuan Hao knew why the elder from the Seven Fates Sect had decided to use the Cloud Crystal as it had a purifying effect on the violent qi up on the Third Star Peak. Making it easier for people to absorb and cultivate.

But why waste sothing so rare… No wonder the Seven Fates Sect did their best from stopping this new elder of theirs from building any more lotus flower platforms on top of the Third Star Peak…

It had to be known that the only way to get Cloud Crystals was to harvest them directly from a rare kind of cloud known as crystal clouds. The only problem was that it was a cloud and clouds tended to float high in the air and the height that the crystal clouds floated was impossible for anyone below the Domain Lord Realm to reach, even with a flying demon beast.

The only way that anyone below the Domain Lord Realm could get their hands on Cloud Crystals was trading with soone at an extrely high price or be lucky enough to encounter a falling crystal cloud that had reached the end of its lifecycle, causing it to crash into the ground below.

Sadly, for many such a thing was extrely rare as even the worst quality crystal clouds were said to be able to stay in the air happily floating around for over ten thousand years. Let alone the higher quality ones…

"But how co nobody took away the Cloud Crystals here…?" Thinking this, Xuan Hao tried to reach into the formation with his divine sense and pull out the Cloud Crystal.

Bzzzz~

A small electric spark ca from the formation as Xuan Hao quickly drew back his divine sense and took a few steps back, cautiously looking at the lotus flower platform for a few seconds before relaxing.

"No wonder nobody took away the Cloud Crystals here, the thing is literally set to self-destruct if anyone tries to make changes to the formation or take the Cloud Crystal out!" Smiling wryly, Xuan Hao decided not to ss with the Lotus Flower Platform anymore as he went back to walking around the summit of the Third Star Peak.
