The next morning, a crowd had gathered in front of the gate used to enter and exit the village.
There, the villagers of the Dragonn village, including Hino and Mitono, were saying their goodbyes to Shinji and the others as they prepared to leave.
”You’re in such a hurry to leave, aren’t you? You could have stayed another day. There are still plenty of delicacies here you haven’t tried yet.”
”Hino, it can’t be helped. Shinji-san is here for work.”
”That’s right. We have to go back and report our results to the king.”
Shinji was just helping out.
If Coral said it was ti to go, he had to go with her.
She had made that decision, and was currently talking with Hino’s father, the village head.
They were discussing how the village and the lord would communicate in the future, in case sothing similar happened again, but Hino and the others couldn’t hear them.
Hino couldn’t help but think that Shinji was being terribly inconvenient, between his interruption at the banquet and his decision to leave.
(If he had stayed one more night, I could have practiced with the master one last ti… but he was sound asleep last night.)
Hino didn’t know that Shinji had spent a lot of ti with Goddess Arian, and thought he was deeply asleep because he had worked so hard in the valley.
In reality, it was because he had been pushed to the brink of exhaustion by Goddess Arian…

Feeling grateful, they shake hands firmly as Coral returns to them.
”Shinji, are you finished with your farewells?”
”Yes, we can leave whenever.”

After bidding farewell to the won, Coral and her companions mount their horses and leave the village.
With Ichiro, their guide, gone, the group of 3 continued down the sa road towards the lord’s mansion.
There were no real problems along the way, but for Shinji, it was a nerve-wracking journey.
