The morning was slow to co, after all, even the gods in charge of the passage of dark into the light were now nothing but slaves to the archfiend and his companions. Hours passed, and it only felt like a minute; the sa was true for the clocks and any indication of ti’s passage. Splitting herself into three, Aura required all the help that she could get. Her real body was with Zephyr, and enjoying the show, while the other two were handling different issues.
Gathered by the campfire, her clone was keeping Freya and Charlotte company. The duo had been feeling lost ever since learning what was truly going on inside Zephyr’s tent. One felt sha, and the other’s mind played the young boy and older woman fantasy. But in the end, it was all to aid the won and the next generation, or at least that’s what Aura had been convincing them to believe.
"The won made their decision, so just be quiet about what’s going on, alright?" She said to the anxious duo, all the while her other clone was splitting through domains trying to hunt down the lesser god of the Anuvi people.
At less than half her strength due to being split in a trio, Aura eventually found the creature stranded in a dark corner of an immaterial plain. Its powers as a god had been lessened due to the Anuvi’s failure, and in the current state, it was no different than a regular bird.
"Such a sha..." Feeling disappointed, she grabbed the creature by the throat and squeezed until its eyes began bulging out of its sockets. Not a sound ca out of the lark’s beak. Too tired from simply trying to stay alive, death was almost a rcy to it. "At least you’ll add so flavor to your people’s stews."
Before the words could register in the god’s head, Aura grabbed it with both of her hands and ripped the head clean off its neck. Blithely chucking the head away, Aura let go of its body and started making her way back to her real self. Her words to the god were only ant to be a mockery of his legacy in his final mont. To be consud by the very people who worshiped him, what worse fate could be there for a god like him?
’Such a bore...’ Yawning at the tedious task of passing through many different realms, Aura found herself back in the forest. Surrounded by nothing but greenery and a handful of animals nearby. ’Maybe I can stretch my legs a little?’
Glancing around, she began counting the animals, the monsters, and the beast. A few hundred they numbered in total, a fine sport it would’ve been to kill them with nothing but her hands as weapons. And that’s exactly what she decided to do, killing everything in sight and throwing them in a ditch.
However, the very first beast that she chased brought her attention to a man who was stalking the sa. Hiding his face behind a mask and sitting on a tree branch with an arrow drawn in the animal’s direction, the capital’s spy was looking for a al.
’Another one of these losers. Was one ssage not enough?’ Closing her eyes, Aura manifested her body behind the masked man. Failing to notice her presence, he let go of the arrow and hit the beast right in its eye, knocking it out.
"That was a fine shot," clapping her hands behind him, Aura let her presence be known. Moving past his shock, the man reached for an arrow from his quiver, but the succubus grabbed his hand before he could get one. "Is that how you repay a complint?"
Cracking his fingers under her grip, Aura stared at him with dark, hollow eyes. The man’s lips had barely parted to scream, and the next thing he knew, his head was on his shoulder the wrong way. Glancing down at his back, he had but a mont’s clarity, and then ca the pain that shut his mind and body in an instant.
Pushing him off the branch, Aura dropped down and stretched her arm downwards. Pulling on his soul, she condensed it into a crystal before pocketing it in a small pouch. His body may have suffered and was now useless, but his soul could be put to use in magical items–much like the ones that they were selling at Devil Away.
’I’ll look through your mories and find out why you were here first.’ Turning her gaze back in the direction of their camp, the clone took a deep breath and heaved. ’Doubt that they didn’t wipe most of your mories, but if there’s anyone you love left in there–I’m gonna ruin their lives next.’
At the sa ti as her encounter with the spy, the sun finally ca up and shed light over the camp. The clone sitting with Freya and Charlotte advised them to get so rest, and finally, they took her up on that offer, but not because they were tired but due to the fact that the line of girls was over, and soon Zephyr was about to walk out of the tent, and there would be much to discuss.
Too embarrassed to face him, they quickly took their leave. Consequently, Roxanne and Audrey had just woken up thanks to the sunlight and were making their way out of their wagons. Rudy, too, had gotten up after hours of embarrassnt. To his surprise, Zephyr was done with the won and already they’d cleaned the ones inside, had cleaned themselves and were dressed to leave after a long and hard pounding.
With a headache, the hero wandered out before anyone. He was struggling to rember the events of the night or what had happened before he’d co to the tent, even. But one thing remained, the fact that he was free of his chastity. For now, at least, since unless he wished to be left behind in levels, he had to wear it again to match the experience doubling with the girls.
But for now, the night was over, and it was ti to move on. Move on from that nightmare that was yesterday, as well as this damned place.
