"Um... what do you an they need to–"
"Bloodroot is an inheritable disease, and if your brother has it, that ans your clan carries it. Usually, the cure only works on the person that ingests the cure, but the next generation will still have traces of the parasite, and this ti around, the parasite would turn resistant to the only blend that we know."
"Does that an..."
"Yeah, the won need to breed outside your clan. Secondly, the n can’t be allowed to reproduce with the won of your clan, as the parasite will only get stronger the more generations it passes through. And eventually it’ll be the end of your clan, turning you guys into blood zombies."
At a loss for words, the won gathered inside the chieftain’s hut frantically whispered and mumbled. Discontent and discomfort echoed inside the crowded shelter, and the only one who wasn’t anxious or afraid was the succubus who’d made them the offer.
"My master will take care of you folks tonight if you agree to co to the tent for a cure, but if you don’t, that’s on you. The beginning of the end for your bloodline will start with you if you make that mistake." Bringing her attention to Josa, Aura placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled. "I hate to ask, but I don’t suppose your clan engages in incestuous relations, does it? That would explain the genetic defect, but I doubt you would’ve survived other plagues if that were the case."
Although her body shuddered at Aura’s words, Josa shook her head and responded with a whisper.
"No, but we would’ve had to soon. Our clan used to be much bigger, but ever since our god abandoned us, we’ve been losing people to plagues."
"It abandoned you, why?" Aura asked with a raised eyebrow.
Lifting the stone off her heavy heart, Josa took a deep breath. Lifting her head to Aura’s chair, she kept her gaze to her knees and explained in great detail. Long ago in the heart of Uzumiya, a vagabond founded the clan of Anuvi after marrying a lesser god’s daughter. The white fowl known as Anuvira granted his blessing to them, the man and his daughter, sending them on a reclusive path to spread his na throughout the Holt.
They offered sacrifices in his na, and upon accepting them, the god responded with further blessings. Soon, guided by their greed to gain a god’s favor, the people of Anuvi spread throughout the forest like a cancer. They pillaged, they raped, but eventually, after fighting an opponent that they could not best–the capital, they settled back into the forest, but with much lesser numbers.
Their numbers reduced more and more every passing year, and the once apparent god refused to accept any sacrifices from them. They’d been abandoned the mont they’d lost, and now, years later, the people of Anuvi were nothing more than recluses trying to stay hidden from the unclean outsiders, along with the forces from the capital.
Taking the story as another reminder of how humans ruin things for themselves, Aura fought the urge to smirk and took on a sympathetic look instead.
"That is unfortunate, but your people don’t sound pleasant either." Even so, she couldn’t help but tease the chieftain’s sister. "From raping other people to needing outsider n to cure the parasite within, perhaps that’s a test from your god or punishnt. Because I doubt any sane deity would ask for such barbaric things."
"I..." Having struggled to wrap her mind around the barbaric nature of her ancestors, Josa couldn’t help but wonder if their god ever asked for such a thing or if her ancestors were simply acting on their own accord to parade their religious fervor. "They must’ve thought that they were on a crusade."
Watching Josa’s head fall, Aura turned her attention to the won in front of her. Silently listening to the conversation between the two, they’d all gone quiet and were now in deep contemplation over the succubus’s extract from the history of their clan.
"I assu the n did the raping? I doubt they let the won fuck outsiders." Lifting her shoulders, Aura glanced across the many surprised faces. "Then isn’t it convenient that you won can be cured and pass on your genes, but the n can’t? Maybe it is divine punishnt, but I’ll let you make your own decision."
Rising from her chair, Aura puffed up her chest and began walking towards the exit. In her mind, many a devious plan was brewing, but the first was to find the deity of the Anuvi and choke the life out of it. In the anti, however, with the whirl of her fingers, the succubus invaded the minds of the won inside the hut. And right as she walked outside, every single one of them heard in their heads the voice of their god.
’Do not move, do not say a word, do not let the other know that I speak to you, my daughter.’ Their minds froze, and so did their bodies, but with a quick look around, it beca clear that sothing was going on, but whatever it was, the won weren’t allowed to speak about it to each other or anyone. ’Cull the corrosion from your blood, do as the rchant says, and you shall be blessed again, my children.’
Smiling to herself as she made her way to the tents, Aura felt a sick sense of joy from shooting poison down the won’s necks. To make won of a hermit clan that shunned outsiders accept an outsider as father to their children, and to cull the genes of the n such that their blood would be so easily replaced and forgotten...
’Haaa~ I wanna fuck already~!’ For Aura, that was nothing more than masturbation material, a fiction, a fantasy which she could play out and see through with her own hands. ’I can’t wait for tonight!’
Screaming internally, the succubus returned to the final preparations. A lot of won needed hosting tonight, and with Zephyr being the one to breed them, quite a bit of voice dampening was necessary.
