091 TA BLOOD TRANSFUSION
"We need to run a few more tests," Dr. Stacy said smoothly. "As you know, the elixir you took is a new-generation trial. We need to monitor its effects and ensure both its safety—and your health. Please, bear with us."
"How long will that take?"
"For as long as necessary," she replied, without blinking.
Dan sighed. "Then at least give
my phone back."
She nodded to a nurse, who handed it over.
But before he could power it on, Dr. Stacy added, "Please be aware—this facility is classified. There's no external network connection. And for your own safety, refrain from taking any photos while you're here."
Dan forced a half-smile. "Relax, I just want to waste ti playing Tetris."
The nurse didn't respond.
Dan took the phone and, when they turned away, quietly opened his Identify app. He aid it at Dr. Stacy.
The results appeared instantly:
Na: Stacy Qiltera
Strength Rank: D????ta Rank: E????Blood Rank: C
Strength 138 | Charm 22 | ta 64 | Command 63 | Blood 280 | Armor 280
Dan's eyes widened. "Blood Rank C… that's not normal."
He froze as realization sank in.
"Damn it," he whispered under his breath. "She has the Blue Blood Curse too…"
-----
Dr. Stacy returned, this ti pushing in a large, humming machine. Without a word, she fitted a needle to his arm.
Dan frowned. "What are you doing?"
"We need to draw your blood," she said briskly. "We detected so anomalies in your samples—possibly from the elixir you took. To prevent complications, we'll need to thin your blood."
She wasn't taking a little blood from him… she was about to transfuse blood.
Dan's pulse quickened. "Thin my blood?" His thoughts raced. "Does she know about the blue blood? Or is she just guessing?"
He decided to test her.
"I'm not changing my blood," Dan said flatly. "There's no need."
Dr. Stacy looked up from her console, feigning patience. "Mr. Dark, this is for your safety. I insist."
"You insist?" Dan's tone hardened. "Last I checked, I'm the patient. Don't I have the right to refuse treatnt?"
Her eyes flickered.
"Thinning your blood will stabilize your system," she said, softer now, almost coaxing. "There's no risk. You can trust . It's absolutely free of charge."
That confird it.
She wasn't acting like a doctor; she was desperate. Doctors don't argue when patients refuse treatnt. They record the refusal and move on.
Whoever she worked for, they wanted his blood — badly.
"So that's it," Dan thought. "They want my blood. But why?"
He let a sly smile curl his lips.
"You know," he said slowly, "I've taken four containers of GenSyn Genomic Elixirs. My blood's practically reinforced with it. If you take my blood now, who's paying
back for the loss?"
Dr. Stacy froze mid-motion. "Four containers? That's… impossible. You'd never get that much elixir."
"I did." Dan lifted his wristband, flicked his school's holopage open. There, clear as day, was his photo on the school's news column — four gleaming canisters handed to him by the principal.
Her expression tightened. "You took that much and survived… and you're here to buy more?"
"I need to get stronger," Dan said simply.
She hesitated, then pulled up a digital catalog, perhaps changing tactics.
"We have a different option," she said. "Synthetic blood — infused with enhanced ta-particles. It boosts circulation, amplifies ta energy transfer, even extends lifespan by ten years per transfusion."
Dan almost laughed. "So now she's trying to sell
the rich man's immortality blood."
Dan knows about synthetic ta blood. The rich people transfuse this blood to beco stronger and younger.
"Will the synthetic ta blood benefit ?" he thought.
"Alright," he said at last, pretending to give in. "But don't try to cheat
with fake synthetics."
Dr. Stacy smiled thinly and swapped out the tank — this one labeled Enhanced ta Blood Type Q.
Dan raised his phone and scanned the new blood tank.
Na: Enhanced ta Blood Type Q
Description: A synthetic blood enhanced with advanced ta technology. Increases circulation efficiency and amplifies ta particle delivery throughout the body.
Effects: Enhanced physical strength and improved Charm-type ta aptitude.
"They really brought out the premium stuff," Dan thought, his lips tightening. "They must want my blood badly."
"So, shall we begin?" Dr. Stacy asked, her hands hovering over the machine controls.
"Thinning my blood…
