The distance from here to the entrance was quite far, and impatient guests had already rushed to the gate, eager for a glimpse.

Lu Linglong and Lin Wan’er also went over.

The wedding sedan stopped steadily at the entrance.

When everyone saw the person carrying the sedan, the entire crowd was stunned.

Even Grand General Han, who had been dragged along to watch the commotion, almost stumbled in shock.

What was going on?

His nephew... was helping carry the sedan for the Grand Commander’s woman?

Lu Linglong stared intently at the groom. "So the Grand Commander... is this handso, huh..."

A young lady nearby teased, "Do you want to marry him?"

Lu Linglong shook her head decisively. "Not !"

No matter how handso he was, he was still a ruthless killer. She valued her life.

The wedding concierge and Ban Xia each lifted one side of the sedan curtain, and ng Qianqian, dressed in a bright red bridal gown, stepped out.

The crowd collectively held their breath.

How could there be such a stunning bridal gown in this world?

Although bridal gowns typically followed a standard design—phoenix crown and embroidered robes—not much variation in style, the gown crafted by Yun Xiyao for ng Qianqian resembled more of a Feathered Robe worn by a Goddess. With celebratory red as its base, it was embroidered with a golden phoenix reborn from fire, featuring a slender waist and flowing long sleeves.

Everyone felt as though they were seeing a phoenix reborn in flas, gracefully walking toward them.

With each step she took, it seed as if lotus flowers were blooming beneath her feet.

The evening breeze lightly swept by, making the hem of her gown flutter, as ethereal as the clouds of the Immortal Palace.

Lin Wan’er had known the bridal gown would be breathtaking, but she hadn’t expected it to be this stunning.

Her own wedding gown, compared to this... no, it wasn’t even worth comparing.

"Bride, step over the fire basin!"

The wedding concierge said with a smile.

ng Qianqian gently stepped over the fire basin.

Tan’er followed closely behind, hopping over it.

Her mischievous deanor elicited laughter from the onlooking guests.

Lin Wan’er suddenly snapped out of her amazent over the bridal gown and turned in disbelief toward Tan’er and Ban Xia, who had appeared by the bride’s side.

Lu Linglong also recognized them. "Aren’t those Tan’er and Ban Xia? What are they doing with the bride?"

A thought quickly surfaced in Lin Wan’er’s mind, and she squeezed her fingers tightly, shaking her head: No, it couldn’t be!

The bride was clearly a noble daughter from Miaojiang, and these two maids... these two maids... ng Xiaojiu was the Grand Commander’s guard; surely, the Grand Commander sent them to protect the bride. That has to be it!

Inside the main hall, soone shouted, "Ti for the wedding ceremony! Ti for the wedding ceremony!"

At this point, no one could sit still, and everyone crowded into the main hall to watch the bride and groom exchange vows.

Standing in the wedding hall, the wedding concierge announced with a smile: "Please, elders take your seats!"

"Are the Grand Commander’s parents here?"

"Haven’t heard of them coming."

Amid murmurs from the guests, ng Tianlan swaggered into the elder’s seat with a bright spirit.

Yu Family’s expression turned sharply sour—why was it him?

"Who’s that?"

A guest asked.

Another guest, who had just gotten the scoop, answered, "I’ve heard that he’s the bride’s third uncle. Since her parents are no longer with us, he’s stepping in as the elder."

It wasn’t uncommon for an uncle to stand in for a father, but having an elder from the bride’s family as the one to preside over the ceremony? That was unheard of—it wasn’t as if this was a bridegroom moving in with the bride’s family.

You’d need two bottles of hard liquor to co up with an idea this unconventional, but then again, no one handled things as untraditionally as Lu Yuan.

Lu Yuan and ng Qianqian each took one end of the red silk ribbon and walked slowly to the center of the wedding hall.

ng Tianlan’s grin was so wide it threatened to stretch all the way to the back of his head if not for the ears stopping it.

Lu Yuan bowed to him. "We ask Third Uncle to officiate our marriage."

ng Tianlan waved his hand and said, "Consider it done! Hurry up and exchange vows!"

Upon hearing this, Yu Family completely froze in shock!

Qianqian... was it that girl?

There wasn’t another Qianqian in the ng Family!

Lord An Yuan sighed, "It’s the bride’s third uncle. To have the privilege of officiating for the Grand Commander himself—truly enviable!"

Yu Family clenched her silk handkerchief tightly. She couldn’t comprehend what was happening. ng Qianqian, who had clearly married long ago, was now the bride of the Governor Mansion. How could this be?

Her mind was left with only one thought: If she hadn’t fallen out with that girl, the one sitting in the elder’s seat today should have been her!
