Crown Of Hearts Chapter 11: You like him

The king was quiet, amused with the scene while the queen was blushing in embarrassnt at her untad daughters that didn't know when to stop bickering.

They were amidst a total stranger for goodness sake!

"Girls, be nice to your brother. We have a guest with us." She interrupted before anyone could say anything.

Daphne and Davina pouted, their blue eyes displeased but they kept quiet. Only for a second...

"Mother, I just want Carina to know more about her prospective husband." Daphne complained.

"Yes, it's only fair." Davina added and the Queen flashed Princess Carina an apologetic smile.

"You don't have to answer any of their ridiculous questions." She consoled and the princess chuckled, clearly amused as she looked at the twins.

"It's alright, your Majesty. I have a few siblings and they do take every opportunity they get to tease . I do understand." She explained and for the first ti, Damon was interested in her.

They had one thing in common.

"I like her already." Davina drawled.

" too." Daphne added as she looked at the new asset she planned to add on her team to tease Damon.

"Will you marry her?" Daphne asked her brother, excitent clear in her voice.

Damon coughed, surprised.

"It's quite early to know that." He admitted.

No. The answer was clear in his mind.

He was not going to be marrying anyone anyti soon because he already had soone to conquer.

Alexander had waited with bated breath for Damon's reply and he hated the slight relief he felt when he dispelled his worries.

His relief lasted only for a while as thoughts evaded his mind.

Damon had not directly said no. That ant he was still considering the option of marrying this princess.

Alexander suddenly wanted her gone and he was unapologetic for feeling that way.

After the family introductions, Damon took the princess for a stroll around the vast gardens as per his mother's request.

He barely paid her any attention because his thoughts were on the man that was walking behind them.

What did Alexander think of all of this?

He subtly glanced at him again and it irked him when his eyes t his calm erald green ones.

The princess that was walking by his side noticed the brief exchange and said sothing that nearly made him choke on his saliva.

"You like him." She stated and Damon's brows furrowed as he looked at her.

"Excuse ?" He asked, regaining his composure.

"Your knight. You like him." Carina repeated her voice certain and Damon's frown deepened.

How had she known? Was he that obvious?

"I don't know what you are talking about." Damon denied the accusation and she smiled knowingly as she looked at him.

"You have barely looked at since I arrived but you have glanced in his direction every few minutes." She told him and Damon regarded her with an irritated look.

"You are very observant." He paid her a sarcastic complint.

Carina chuckled.

"Don't get fussy. I won't tell a soul about your interesting choice." She comforted, her tone serious.

Damon looked at her suspiciously, not quite believing her.

"Don't look at like that. I too happen to find the sa gender attractive at tis." She hissed and Damon was surprised.

This pretty lady liked girls. Now that was interesting.

"See, now you know a secret of mine. So tell , is he yours?" She asked, her mood brightening up as she glanced at Alexander.

This prince had good taste.

Damon was still hesitant as he gave her a long stare trying to see whether he could trust her.

No...he couldn't. He wasn't one to trust easily but he decided to tell her a few things.

Damon had no one he could talk to about his relationship with Alexander. The woman at his side was a suitable candidate. Perhaps she could understand what he was going through.

He sighed softly.

"No...not really." He replied and the curious and excited look in her hazel eyes urged him to tell her more.

"I am still pursuing him." He added and she nodded, understanding.

"So, he is playing hard to get." She mused.

"Yes, sothing like that. Now that I think about it, he might not be into n." Damon admitted with a frown.

She snorted.

"Look at , Prince Damon." She said seriously and his eyes t hers.

"With those looks, you could sway the straightest man on earth." She complinted him and Damon found himself chuckling.

Did she really think so. He knew he was fine but Alexander did not seem so taken by his looks.

Maybe he was but it was sothing he wasn't about to admit.

Damon enjoyed the ti he was spending with this princess.

"I am serious, Damon. You have inhumanely good looks. Now tell , have you tried seducing him?" She asked and he smirked.

"Every chance I get." He admitted.

"And is it working?" She probed.

"I think so." Damon said, not entirely certain.

He hated not being sure.

"If this man does like you, then he is probably burning with jealousy right now." She admitted.

"That's the reason I am here with you. I am trying to get an emotion off his poker face. No offense." Damon concluded his confession and Carina chuckled.

"No offense taken." She admitted her voice, sincere.

"I could help you make him jealous. If you don't mind." She added and Damon's eyes sparkled. He liked where this was going.

"What do you have in mind?" He asked and Carina was thoughtfully silent.

"You may not like it." She admitted and Damon swallowed.

"I am willing to do whatever it takes to make him mine." He shalessly assured.

Carina smirked.

"Such unwavering determination. Your knight is one lucky man." She whispered, as she stepped closer to him.

"You could kiss and make it look intimate." She suggested and Damon's eyes widened slightly.

He liked this woman but certainly not the idea of touching his lips to hers.

He swallowed as he closed the distance between them and wrapped his arms around her waist, tugging her towards him.

Damon closed his eyes and imagined she was Alexander before his lips et hers in a hot and hungry kiss.

Alexander froze as he watched Damon kissing this princess.
