Currently, sowhere near the Saint Star Academy, sothing was happening under the cover of the night.
''!'' The assassin felt a chill down his spine and couldn't help but beco nervous like a greenhorn.
He had seen a colored sketch of this young man before accepting the mission and the details matched perfectly except for the fact that the current person who stood opposite him now has turned much younger than what was portrayed in the painting he had on his spatial ring.
'Shit!'
The assassin grumbled wordlessly and took his ti to recover well in the grace period that he was freely given.
And it did not take him long to conclude a glaring truth that he did not expect since taking this job.
"It seems that this may very well be my last dance with death." The assassin whispered after his loud coughing stabilized. He gazed intently at the foe that cornered him still even to this very mont.
The assassin could not feel any surge of origin from the young man, a boy really, and that only ant one of two things.
Either the boy was an ordinary mortal that has not begun to have a concealing thod or this boy was way way out of his league.
The latter opinion was perhaps the most probable reason behind this enigmatic boy's appearance.
'No. Not a boy... but a monster!' The assassin nodded in conclusion. He stood and smiled excitedly at his opponent. He was a person who had killed thousands of people already.
He did not care if his victims were innocents or not because for as long as he can sate the bloodlust in him, that fact alone was enough.
If he would die here then it would be a long overdue visit for justice to finally make him pay for his sins.
"But it's not over yet. I can still live through this!' the Assassin encouraged himself one last ti.
Since he could not escape the quick eyes of his supposed prey and at the sa ti, it would also be suicide to take a frontal engagent against the Lu Chen of today then it was a smart option to create so clever opportunities instead.
"WHOOSH!"
"WHOOSH!"
"WHOOSH!" Three daggers made their way toward their targets and a second later, the number of corresponding lantern lights exploded on the scene.
The assassin would no doubt wish that he had brought more daggers along this unhealthy expedition tonight but it was no use because reality was ever unforgiving to the unprepared.
Only one corner in the courtyard was diffused of its light but this was more than enough for the brave assassin to try once more.
He sprinted towards the safety of this inky darkness for the second ti tonight.
"You are stubborn, I give you that. But that still wouldn't be enough for you to escape with your life intact." Arthure shook his head in disappointnt.
He would have liked to fight happily against this deadly assassin in one engagent or two so that he could take stock of his strengths but his expectations has failed him, yet again. He had expected the best.
'Nah, in the end, it doesn't even matter. I could always play later I suppose.' He smiled and made a grasping motion with his left hand.
"BOOM!" a body that attempted to jump over the courtyards was repelled rcilessly from the sky. The explosion was huge and deafening.
"CREAK!" even multiple hard bones could be heard breaking from this impact alone.
The young handso man had struck him and yet as a bonafide assassin he was unable to see this attack, not with his level 4 strength which would an this girl was a monster beyond his understanding, the assassin was injured.
The throbbing pain from his wound was enough to disorient him. Hazy, confused, and weak in his knees they felt as if he could collapse under his weight at any mont. The voices in his head that normally contradicted each other now scread in unison and told him to stop what they were doing and find a way out of this misery. For a mont he focused on the pain, honing in on every sensation. Where it ca from, how badly it hurt and how badly he wanted it to stop and simply lie down.
Fortunately, there were so calm monts, monts when the pain was easy to manage and even easy to ignore, but it didn't last because the young man appeared before him and touched his forehead.
''Die!''
''Noo!!!!!'' The assassin cried trying to stop the young man but unfortunately, he couldn't as it was already too late.
'Blood, there's blood everywhere. It's drenched my clothes, they're sticky and heavy and red. Red, everything is red, even the ground below is turning red with blood. My blood.
I already fell to my knees and I'm getting weaker by the minute. Perhaps I should lie down, I am kind of tired anyway. Move body, move. Fall over, co on.
There must be sothing I can do. Anything. I want to live, I need to live. Co on, co on, I can't die like this. How can I get out of this ss? There must be a way out, there has to be.
Everything feels so heavy. My entire body is trying to force to the ground, to lie down and close my eyes, but I can't. I can't give in, not yet. I can still make it, I just need so rest. I guess I will lie down for a little while, but I will not close my eyes. Do not close my eyes.
I'm. I'm going to die. Right here, any minute now. I can feel it, my body is growing weaker by the second, there's no fixing this. Fine. Let this be the end then, but let it be a quick one. Just let go.
It's getting cold, really cold. My body shivers, I can't help it. There's no way to warm up either, it's not like I can exercise. I don't think I've ever felt this cold.
It would be good if sobody rember .'
The assassin died and right after his death, a beautiful woman appeared, looking at Arthure she asked.
''My Prince, was this necessary?"
''Yes! Atlas.'' He answered and a cold glint flashed through his eyes.
