Pablo held his Colt.

It glowed in white light and it was ready to correct the darkness.

El'Dorado had his machete with him.

It was called Widow and it burned with black flas ready to devour the light. It wasn't the original one but it was still enough.

Both beings stared at each other, none of them moved.

The thousand Angels were behind the dragon king but the king couldn't care less about them. He only wanted the death of Pablo. He would kill Pablo and the Angels would subdue on their own.

The soldiers standing on the Crucible watched the scene closely and they had stopped thinking about anything. They had never expected that they would see such things and Pablo would be able to do things like this. Now they were just bystanders and lucky to see all of this.

Jaun Elia constantly wrote words after words as he believed he was writing an epic. He won't be able to see sothing like this again and he would make sure that everyone who would read his book would feel what he was feeling right now.

Harlia and Malvador were standing side by side and the woman had cald down in her anger. She wasn't out for Malvador's blood at the mont as she was smart enough to know when to show anger.

Malvador also said nothing derogatory and insulting to Harlia as both of them watched Pablo and the dragon king staring down at each other.

"You wanted to kill him, right?" Harlia said.

Malvador sighed. "Yes. And I still want it."

"What if he dies by the dragon king? Your wish will remain unfulfilled then."

Malvador shook his head.

Harlia frowned. "What is it?"

The Vampire king smiled a little.

"All this while, he was acting like he respected the dragon king. He had his head low. He even manipulated the monster to fight that demon as well. Do you know why he did that?"

Harlia stayed silent for a second and answered:

"Because he didn't want to fight the dragon king. He was scared of the dragon."

Malvador laughed. "He was scared. Yes. But he wasn't afraid of the dragon king. He was afraid of not being able to fight the dragon king."

"What do you an?" Harlia didn't get it.

Malvador was kind enough to explain.

"He said all those things to the dragon king because he knew he couldn't fight the being. He wasn't ready. He knew if he angered the dragon by raising his voice or head, he would be killed. So he acted like a cat and only when he saw a chance to fight back, did he raise his head and throw away all his acting."

Harlia heard the vampire and nodded. He was right. But…

"What are you getting at with all this?"

Malvador smiled and shook his head.

"All I am saying is, when Pablo was sure that he will die if he fought the dragon, he acted like a weak obliged coward, but when he was sure that he could beat the dragon, he said fuck to everything and started fighting the beast."

Harlia stared at Pablo from the ground and Malvador added:

"So Pablo only started this fight with the dragon because he was sure that he would win. And if Pablo says he would win, then the one betting on his opponent is the stupidest person in the world."

Everyone heard Malvador.

Draxus nodded as he agreed with Malvador and he was also surprised that Malvador spoke all that for Pablo. Nevertheless, he didn't indulge himself with Malvador too much at the mont and focused only on Pablo in case his Czar needed so sudden help.

But unlike Draxus, Harlia would surely indulge.

"You talk like you know Pablo too well. I am sure today was the first ti you t him. Heck, you talk about him like you are his fan."

Malvador's smile died.

"You will know soon enough. Don't talk to now."

Harlia rolled her eyes and watched the sky.

Pablo and the dragon king locked eyes with each other and the atmosphere grew thin and suffocating around them.

The air stopped flowing, the clouds hid the sun and when the atmosphere reached its peak strangulation…

WHISH!

It began.

Pablo and El'Dorado vanished from their spot and in no ti, they appeared in the center of the sky.

Pablo wasted no ti and swung Colt.

The dragon king ducked and slashed Widow at Pablo's legs.

Pablo raised his knees, saving his legs and swung Colt at the head of the dragon king.

The dragon king would have let the sword co to him but he didn't take any chances and ducked his head once more.

Pablo then raised Colt above his head and brought it down.

But it hit nothing but air as the dragon king vanished from there.

Pablo's senses rang and the next second, the dragon appeared behind Pablo.

El'Dorado raised Widow above his head and brought it down with full force.

Pablo sensed it coming and in the last second, he vanished.

Just like the dragon, he also appeared behind and raised Colt above his head.

He used all his strength and brought it down.

It hit nothing again as the dragon king vanished.

Pablo's senses rang once more and by that, he believed the Being had appeared behind him again.

The dragon raised Widow above his head again and with all his power, brought it down.

Pablo rolled his eyes and vanished from the spot again.

But after Pablo vanished, the dragon king broke into a smirk. His plan succeeded.

Pablo appeared behind the dragon king, just as the Being thought, and just like how he had trapped the demon king, the dragon king did that again.

He used his tail.

But…

"I have sensed this pattern since the start."

Pablo's calm voice ca and before the dragon could figure sothing out…

SHRILL!

THUD!

Pablo did it.

He swung Colt at the very sa thing the dragon was relying on.

In other words…

Pablo cut the tail of the Dragon King.
