"You little shit, you actually want to fight to the death?"
Louis’s face twisted, feeling imnse humiliation.
Even with severe injuries and holding his heart with one hand, his combat strength was still five tis that of Gao Xin.
But this kid’s moves were strangely effective. He had underestimated his opponent and almost lost half a move, nearly getting cleaved to death by an axe.
Gao Xin said coldly, "I am already a gladiator. It’s either you die, or I die."
"Alright, alright, then go to hell!" Louis, enraged, charged at him with extre speed while his organs were overclocked.
The sledgehamr in his hand was as light as a clothes rod, swinging wildly at great speed.
Gao Xin couldn’t keep up with the speed at all and could only use his large axe to block.
"Clang!"
The sound of tal striking tal was deafening. Gao Xin was knocked flying and spat out a mouthful of blood.
The shock wave alone sent him flying several ters. The webbing of his thumb tore, and his arm broke.
This power and speed were crushing him; there was simply no way to resist.
And that wasn’t all. Louis’s offensive was ferocious and he was already on the chase, hamring down hard.
Gao Xin, in an unbelievable posture, suddenly sat up, his butt shooting back half a ter, narrowly avoiding the hamr blow.
Then there was a series of scrambles on the ground!
Under Louis’s barrage of attacks, he was like duckweed in the wind, with no strength to counter.
A slight mistake and a direct hit would leave him either dead or disabled.
Louis was ready to pursue his advantage, confident that within three moves, Gao Xin would be dead.
But sothing caught his eye, and he felt sothing was off.
He suddenly turned around, only to see Su Lei and Xing Shiping had already made their way behind him.
Of course, not to ambush him but headed straight for the black base!
"What!"
These two had taken advantage of Gao Xin’s intense fight with Louis to run out. Their goal was obviously to attack the black base and kill Sofia.
"I damn knew there was sothing fishy about you!"
Seeing the two attempting a sneak attack on his base, Louis panicked and without hesitation turned to chase after them, leaving his back exposed to Gao Xin.
Gao Xin wouldn’t miss such an opportunity. He imdiately got up and fired a shot.
"You dare get distracted while fighting ?"
"Pop! Pop! Pop!"
Several bullets hit Louis in the back. He had to go on the defensive, veering left and right to avoid a fatal shot to the head, but this ant his speed was reduced.
Gao Xin caught up and fought him tooth and nail, hacking and shooting.
"Aaaaargh!" Louis snarled through clenched teeth.
But even with bullets in his back, he did not stop, using covers to chase after Su Lei and the others.
He couldn’t afford to ignore Gao Xin; his disregard stemd from knowing that if his base were taken, he would be as good as dead.
Louis never believed Gao Xin was a real gladiator.
Who would do such a thing? Mad? Fight him to the death? There had to be a trick!
And sure enough, when Su Lei and the others showed up, he knew it was a ruse to infiltrate the base.
Once they occupied the black base and closed its doors, and Gao Xin fled back to the white base to lock its doors,
Then he, Louis, would be trapped to die in the Duel Arena!
Once the gladiator ti ended, he’d have at most another minute. If he couldn’t return to his base, he would be killed on the spot!
"I must protect the base!"
Seeing the two almost making it into the base, he stopped dodging and sprinted straight ahead!
Like a charging wild buffalo, his speed kept increasing.
But with such a sprint, he could no longer avoid Gao Xin’s bullets.
Suddenly, his back was almost torn apart by gunfire, saved only by the low power of the weapon or he would really have died there.
Spitting blood from his mouth, with old wounds tearing open, he still caught up.
Louis almost got his hands on Su Lei but then he heard the sound of the wind behind him.
"Get down!" Gao Xin took his shot in ti.
He couldn’t catch up to Louis, but he could throw his large axe.
The axe was a nano weapon, powered by acceleration, seized from the Viking Gang, similar to the one in the first ga, only slightly different in style.
The axe flew through the air, emitting a pale blue luminescence, tracing a path like a shooting star slicing through.
Louis couldn’t turn back in ti. With an instinctive crouch, he sprinted low to the ground, barely slowing down.
But as soon as he ducked, he felt sothing was wrong.
"That sound..."
Louis’s pupils contracted as he felt a stabbing pain at the base of his thighs.
"Thwack!"
The massive axe flew low to the ground with imnse force, severing both his legs at the roots!
"Fuck! Why the hell did you shout?"
Louis exploded with rage. He had thought the warning from Gao Xin was because the attack was aid at his head.
The attack was actually aid low, and in that brief mont, he was misled.
His instinct was to duck, which led to the disaster. Had he just jumped, he could have avoided it, but now his legs were completely severed!
With a thud, he fell face-first to the ground.
How could he continue the chase without legs? Now he was just sliding forward on montum alone.
anwhile, Su Lei and the others had already rushed into the base and hurriedly closed the door.
"Bang!"
Louis was a mont too late and crashed into the closing door.
"Damn it... Open up!" Louis panicked; he was locked out!
He held his head, the other hand gripping the sledgehamr, and he propped himself up.
Without legs, Louis still stood tall, his upper body suspended in the air; he supported himself upright on the strength of his arms and the hamr.
He pounded on the door fiercely, but it was too late, and those inside weren’t going to open it for him.
"Aaaaargh!"
Louis, in desperation, looked towards the white base, which was also closed.
By then, the entire Duel Arena was completely sealed off.
"You still claim you’re a gladiator? I don’t believe a damn word!"
