Lyrian’s eyes squinted as he gazed at the alluring figure in front of him.

At that mont, Garmr bared his fangs, entering a position to prance forward.

Lyrian looked down, observing Garmr for a mont, before looking back up at the man who was walking closer.

Soon enough, a tall man with a developed, muscular build began to beco visible through the mirage of distance.

His arms were hairy, yet giant. They weren’t fat by any ans, but had a thin layer of it over each part of his body that made him look like a bulked husk.

His chest wanted to seemingly protrude out through his black robes, and his leg muscles could be seen bludging out of his baggy pants with each step he took.

Lyrian took note of the man’s face most of all. It was of an older man, probably in his 60s. A long salt-peppered beard swung from his chin.

It was tied multiple tis at the bottom and braided.

Despite his age, the man had the body of his pri. His jaw was chiseled, his face stern and his brows furrowed.

Clearly, this was not soone Lyrian should want to ss with.

"I heard the voice of Illectus." The grizzled man said in a deep, scratchy voice.

"His words rang through my ears, those last words."

"My words almost must have rang through your ears then."

"Yes... they did."

Lyrian dropped off of Garmr. "Shadow."

The wolf was sent back into the shadow realm, as Lyrian stood his ground.

The man arrived 50 feet away from him at that mont and also stopped.

’This man... he has a different type of aura to him. Sure, he’s showing his killing intent right now, but there is sothing else there as well. A sort of confident, mastered essence. He’s no joke. Scan.’

’Holy fuck... he’s on another level.’ Lyrian was blown away. ’Noble House of Irenen? No, what’s more eye-catching than that is his Rank. Zenith, huh?’

"Boy... I listened to what you said, I did not disagree with it." lles exclaid, "Yet... I am a man of honor."

Lyrian sneered slightly at that sound that, "A man in your position is a man of honor huh? And what, you want to be my friend now?"

’A mber of the Black Petal Sect, and one who gave his entire life away just to protect so fool leader.’ He said inwardly.

"Despite what you may think, I only act on what I believe is to be righteous. I do not create my als, but choose those that co to by my own preferences, you see."

Lyrian didn’t speak, wanting to allow the man to get to the point of what he was saying.

"You have slain a mber that was never very dear to , yet, he was still a part of my group. My side. With you killing him, that makes you liable to be on the wrong side."

"Listen here, honorable man. I don’t see in terms of sides, and lines. He wanted to kill , and I gave the poor creature so rcy by keeping his punishnt delayed a few minutes longer."

lles didn’t seem to have any sort of reaction to these words.

"I do what is right. You have slain my comrade, and now, I shall slay you." At that mont, lles slamd his fist against his palm.

The force generated from that was enough to send a vibration echoing through the entire cavern room.

Lyrian sighed, "He isn’t dead."

Garmr had only allowed the snake-man to slide down his gullet. He hadn’t actually chewed and killed him.

"I suspected a mont like this would arise."

At that mont, Garmr threw up the Snake-man, who was slightly covered in acidic sli from inside the canine’s stomach.

Illectus looked around in confusion and then saw lles face. As soon as he did, he attempted to get up and run toward him.

However, he slipped on the sli since he was trying to move so fast, and was picked up by Garmr once again.

"I don’t want to kill this little lizard," Lyrian said, as lles looked at Illectus, and then back at the boy.

"Then let him go."

"No."

...

"If I let him go, you will just attack because I injured your comrade."

"I won’t. I understand that he has wronged you and that you only wanted to gain power by coming here. His attempt to take your life was bad, and I would have reprimanded him for that. Even now, I still will. However, you slaying him was another matter. Now that he isn’t dead, I can move on righteously."

"I have no guarantee of such a thing."

"You have my word."

"Your word ans jack shit to . You are a mber of the Black Petal Sect."

Finally, lles’ expression seed to change for once. He showed slight signs of confusion.

’Of all things, how can he use the fact that I am a part of this specific sect to be a bad thing?’ He mused inwardly.

"The sect that slays the innocent, pillages and rapes small villages, corrupts wild animals, and destroys ecosystems, all for thier own personal gain."

lles was thrown off by these words, "W-what? Where are you getting this information, boy... you are mistaken. You know nothing of what happens in the upper realms."

"I would know, I’m from there."

lles was even more shocked to hear this. "A kid as strong as you, from the upper realm? Impossible. You would be so sort of noble... how could you end up down here?"

"I’m not here to give you proof. Let through. You already know my intentions it seems."

lles slamd his right foot into the ground, "By the 20 highest gods, I swear to never let a liar like you within the confines of the highest elder." A burst of killing intent exploded out from his being at that mont.
