Braelyn’s POV
My lips were slightly swollen from how forcefully he had kissed . I stared at Raphael in complete disbelief. Totally baffled at his sheer shalessness and audacity.
He was staring at us, as if we were part of so show he was enjoying, as if it were a cruel joke. The look he had in his eyes gave a strong urge to slap him across the face.
"The doughnuts are truly delightful, Lucien..." Raphael finally chid after finishing his doughnut. "I hope I am not interrupting anything. " He chid. His hazel eyes were clear, but there was sothing else hidden in them.
I pursed my lips. "I thought your eting was ant to end way later." I chid, keeping polite while Lucien’s presence hovered around .
"The eting ended early." He replied. I scoffed. I got off the aisle giving him a long look before turning towards Lucien.
"I think we are done for today. Till next ti." I chid.
"Sure..." Lucien drawled before glancing at Raphael. "I am glad you enjoyed the doughnuts. I will make sure to bring them when I next co visiting." He chid innocently while his words carried obvious daggers.
Raphael’s smile didn’t falter. "They were nice, but too much sweets isn’t good."
I scoffed at whatever was going on between them then hopped off the counter. Lucien packed up his things, he could sense my discomfort and didn’t push further.
I held his hand, then walked him out of the house, stopping by his car. I could feel Raphael’s sharp gaze on when I walked out of the kitchen. I didn’t spare him a glance.
"He is jealous." Lucien deadpanned once we got to his car. He had already pulled the door open to drop his system and the docunts we were dealing with.
My brows furrowed. I found it completely ridiculous that Raphael was jealous. "I doubt that." I snickered, shaking my head. That was too absurd to believe.
How could he be jealous?
"If you don’t want to believe it, but one thing is certain, he is a psycho." Lucien laughed. My lips quivered.
"That’s funny coming from another psycho." I hissed. Honestly, I found Raphael’s behaviour unsettling. He acted too unaffected that even siblings would cringe at the sight of their siblings making out, and yet he didn’t even bat an eye.
Lucien grinned. "What can I say, we can recognise each other?" He shrugged. A small smile tugged at the corners of my mouth.
"Although I didn’t mind him watching...I was hoping he would lose it, but his self-control could rival monks." Lucien admitted. I laughed at the thought of it finding it ridiculous
I doubt Raphael was jealous. Possessive, maybe, but there was no way he was jealous and could remain calm.
I have seen his rage before; he clearly had lost it during the will reading, but didn’t bat an eye and calmly watched us like it was an entertaining show.
My stomach churned. He valued money over . I didn’t know if I should laugh at myself.
"That’s enough Lucien. You should start heading ho. You are the one who is pretty delusional now." I pushed him urging him to get into his car.
"Once the husband cos the lover is dramatically tossed aside." He whined; my lips twitched at his theatrics.
"When did you beco so shalessly dramatic?" I could not help but sneer, and he shalessly replied without batting an eye.
"In life, you have to be shaless to get what you want. If I weren’t shaless, I would never get a chance with you." He admitted and I playfully punched him. He winced as it hurt.
His act made my heart light, and for a mont, I forgot everything. It made wonder how soone as lively as him got the villainous tag he has now
"Fine, I will leave." He sighed still acting dramatically. He got into the car, about to drive off, when he gave a look as if he was trying to pry through my skull.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "Why are you staring at that way?" I asked him.
"I am trying to mark your face on my mory." He said with a serious face that made burst into laughter. His lines are always unexpected. His smile widened as he watched laugh..
I held my laugh trying to stop it. My eyes stung from how hard I laughed. "That’s enough. You should consider pursuing a career in acting. You are exceptionally talented. " I urged him
"I am talented in a lot of things."
The thoughts of Killian Orlov ca to my mind again but I wasn’t sure if I could bring up my plans before Lucien
I waved him off as he drove off before heading back inside. Specifically to the kitchen.
My shaless husband was sitting on the stool enjoying his drink while scrolling through his phone. "I can guess that your lover has already left." He casually said before lifting his gaze to
I stood at the other side of the long kitchen centre aisle as anger surged through . "Yes, he already left." I spat out.
Raphael nodded then turned back to his phone. "How shaless can you truly be?" I finally could not keep it inside anymore
He smiled, a soft smile spread across his icy face. "I thought we already agreed on the fact that I am shaless, and besides, why can’t I have a drink in my kitchen?" He asked still sounding logical.
"You were the one making out in public. If you can’t stand anyone watching you then don’t do it openly." He left speechless. I wanted to bring up how shaless he and Alia were, but it would make sound petty.
My lips parted and closed, trying to find a retort. In the end, I could only say. "Sorry, I forgot that only a few people still have a bit of sha and self-respect as I do. Next ti we would use my bedroom....the bed there is even more comfortable than this hard aisle."
I gave him a polite smile and then marched out of the kitchen.
