Haeun let out a sigh of relief, though he still felt uneasy about everything he’d just learned. "So... you don’t go on the actual missions? That’s good," he said quietly, his voice tinged with concern. "You can’t leave behind."

"Why would I leave my pretty thing behind?" Yeongsoo said with a soft chuckle as he scooped Haeun up into his arms effortlessly, sitting them both down on the couch. "Looking at your face is my starter pack of the day."

Haeun’s lips curved into a smile, his heart swelling at the casual affection in Yeongsoo’s words. Despite everything, the dangerous world he now understood Yeongsoo lived in, the simple warmth between them made him feel safe.

"Don’t say things like that," Haeun muttered, burying his face in Yeongsoo’s chest to hide the blush creeping up his cheeks. "It makes feel like I’m more important than your job."

"You are," Yeongsoo replied without hesitation, his tone firm. "More important than all of it. I’d drop it all if it ant keeping you safe and happy."

Haeun pulled back slightly to look into his eyes, searching for any sign of doubt or hesitation. But there was none. Yeongsoo’s gaze was steady, filled with sincerity. It made Haeun’s heart race, but also gave him a strange sense of peace. He could feel how much he ant to Yeongsoo in that mont, and it was overwhelming in the best way.

"You’re serious, aren’t you?" Haeun whispered, his voice barely audible.

"I’ve never been more serious about anything in my life," Yeongsoo said, leaning in to press a soft kiss to Haeun’s forehead. "You’re soone important person to , Haeun. Always will be."

Haeun’s heart fluttered at the words, but there was still that nagging worry at the back of his mind. "But what if sothing happens to you? What if you get caught in sothing dangerous?"

"I won’t. Like I said, I stay in the background," Yeongsoo reassured him, brushing a stray lock of hair away from Haeun’s face. "Sean and his team are out in the field. I’m here, where I can keep an eye on things and still co ho to you every night."

Haeun stared at Yeongsoo, a burning thought in his heart gathering his courage, Haeun pulled back slightly to et his gaze. "Yeongsoo, I need to ask you sothing," he said softly, his voice hesitant.

Yeongsoo looked down at him, his usual smirk fading into sothing more thoughtful. "What is it?"

Haeun hesitated, biting his lower lip before finally speaking. "Do you... do you have feelings for ?"

There was a mont of silence, one that felt much too long for Haeun’s comfort. His heart pounded in his chest, waiting for an answer, hoping for sothing definitive, sothing that would finally clear up the confusion he’d been feeling.

But when Yeongsoo finally spoke, his words were vague, almost teasing. "Feelings, huh?" He chuckled softly, his eyes not giving away much. "I care about you, Haeun. You’re soone I value a lot."

Haeun furrowed his brow, trying to read deeper into the answer. "Care about ? Value ? But is that... the sa as liking ?"

Yeongsoo’s expression didn’t change. He still held that playful, unreadable smile, and his tone didn’t give Haeun any clear indication of what he ant. "Does it matter, darling? You’re important to . That’s what counts, right?"

Haeun felt a wave of frustration rising within him. He wasn’t sure if Yeongsoo was avoiding the question on purpose or if this was just how he was—always keeping things light, never too deep. But it wasn’t what Haeun needed right now. He wanted clarity. He needed to know if this connection they had was real, or if it was all just casual fun for Yeongsoo.

"But... do you like ?" Haeun pressed, his voice a little more desperate now.

Yeongsoo’s playful smirk faded as he looked at Haeun, his expression softening. He leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss to Haeun’s forehead before pulling back, his eyes more serious than Haeun had ever seen them.

"I don’t know what love is," Yeongsoo began quietly, his voice steady but tinged with vulnerability. "But my heart... it understands. It beats wildly when it hears your voice, when it feels your touch. It beats as long as it’s you..Haeun."

Haeun blinked, taken aback by the raw honesty in Yeongsoo’s words. He wasn’t used to seeing this side of him, the side that didn’t have all the answers, the side that wasn’t always in control.

Yeongsoo sighed, running a hand through his hair as he continued. "I don’t have the right words for you, Haeun. I’ve never been the kind of person who thinks too deeply about feelings. But when you’re near ... I feel sothing. It’s not just physical, it’s more than that. You make everything feel... different, I want to experience more things with you. So if you ask if I like you? I don’t want to like you, I want to love you, hold you down, put a ring on your finger and make your mine...Forever."

Haeun froze as he stared at Yeongsoo, his words replaying over and over again in his head.

Wrapping his arms around Yeongsoo, he pulled him close.

"Kiss Yeong, kiss like you’ve never kissed before.."

Yeongsoo’s eyes darkened with intensity at Haeun’s plea, his grip tightening around him as their faces were re inches apart. The tension between them was electric, the air thick with anticipation.

Without another word, Yeongsoo captured Haeun’s lips in a fierce, passionate kiss, pouring every unspoken emotion into it. His hand cradled the back of Haeun’s head, deepening the kiss as if he couldn’t get close enough, as if he needed Haeun in that mont more than he needed air. The softness of Haeun’s lips, the warmth of his breath—it was all overwhelming.

Haeun lted into the kiss, his hands clutching at Yeongsoo’s shirt, desperate to feel him, to hold onto him like he might slip away. The kiss was different this ti, filled with the weight of everything that was left unsaid, everything they’d been skirting around. It wasn’t just desire—it was sothing deeper, sothing raw and undeniable.

Yeongsoo pulled back for a brief mont, his forehead resting against Haeun’s, both of them breathing heavily, their hearts racing in unison. His voice was low, almost a growl as he spoke. "This... this is what you do to , Haeun. You make lose control."

Haeun’s chest heaved as he caught his breath, his lips tingling from the intensity of the kiss. His fingers traced the outline of Yeongsoo’s jaw, feeling the heat radiating from him. "Then don’t stop," Haeun whispered, his voice laced with both challenge and vulnerability.

Yeongsoo didn’t need to be told twice. He surged forward again, his lips crashing against Haeun’s with a hunger that sent shivers down Haeun’s spine. His hands road possessively, pulling Haeun closer, pressing him into the couch as if trying to fuse them together.
