Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Julia

Father Jas was truly shocked by what he was seeing but not the reasons one might assu after seeing the pillar of light. Lucius also had his eyes opened while looking expectantly at Father Jas to tell him the results of his awakening ceremony. Father Jas slowly approached Lucius and sent Mana into Lucius's body to do a full body scan, a few seconds later...

"How is this possible..? How in the history of Fire City is this possible?! Such a grand phenonon yet the person responsible for it didn't awaken! Just how is this possible?!" said Father Jas with a shaky voice.

Lucius was excited at first, expecting Father Jas to praise him as a one in a lifeti genius, the chosen one, the greatest talent in existence or at least sothing along those lines. Never did he expect to actually not awaken. It wasn't that the awakening had failed but that Lucius hadn't the potential nor talent for either Knighthood or Magic.

Then what was the spectacle of the blue pillar about? Was it an indication that Lucius was the trashiest person in existence, a person with talent so horrible the world had to know about him? Or was there more to Lucius than ets the eye? Was his body hiding a major secret? Honestly, Father Jas didn't know but fortunately he could ask the person directly.

"Young Lucius, is there sothing you're not telling ? I an when your race first ca here, many of them awakened unique abilities, so never before seen. When asked, so said that it was a blessing from a... ga called System Online. What do you think this... ga would have blessed you with?" asked Father Jas.

"What do you an?" Lucius asked, puzzled by this question.

"You see, the City Lord recruited soone recently. This person, although weak, has a terrifying talent for magic, fire magic to be exact. He talked about sothing... FireLord System so I was asking if you have sothing similar or along those lines."

"Ga...? System Online...? Fire Lord System...?" then it all clicked in Lucius's head. His eyes widened in joy as this would also an that he had a system. Seeing Lucius beco happy, Father Jas was also happy but didn't show it. If his guess was correct then it would an that Lucius still had sothing up his sleeve.

Although he had slept for six months, to Lucius, it felt like he had only slept for a few days so he rembered a lot of things from Earth and the mory that was so clear to him was that of him creating his system. As soon as he rembered how he had designed his system, the world ca crashing down on him as he felt himself being suffocated.

"NO! NO! NO! NO! NOOOO!!!" he scread like a madman and maybe he truly had gone crazy. The reason for him suddenly acting like this was quite simple: to check whether he had a system or not, he simply had to die.

Seeing Lucius turn from ecstasy to depression, Father Jas was suddenly confused.

"Young man, what's wrong?"

Lucius didn't respond, he blankly looked at the old man, thanked him for the awakening ceremony and left. The current Lucius was like a person whose spirit died a long, long ti ago and now only the body was trash. While looking at Lucius's depressed figure, Father Jas beca annoyed.

"Trash!" he couldn't help but say.

He had wasted months on Lucius, even got Robert to look after him and even fed him the expensive nutrition solutions. He wasted money, ti and resources, all for what?!

"Absolute trash!"

...

Lucius just lay on the bed, his hopes and dreams completely shattered all because he wanted revenge on those rich players. He now had no choice and would have to live his life here as the only ordinary person. He probably wouldn't even get a girlfriend, much less a harem that he'd always dread of, he now... had nothing to live for.

Well one might ask, why doesn't he just kill himself to test if his system works or not and the answer to that is simple, Lucius is afraid of dying. No matter how much he tried to convince himself, he was just too afraid of dying, worse, to actually die as a virgin. He absolutely couldn't have that and rather lived a diocre life.

...

A month had passed since Lucius found out that he was useless and he had been kicked out of the Guest Inn since he was broke. Fortunately, the church provided housing for all its employees so after begging Father Jas to give him a job, he had been enjoying his ti here at Fire City. He worked as a receptionist for the Holy Church and just spent all day not doing anything too energy consuming.

What he didn't know was that every ti Father Jas saw him, his mood would beco foul and he'd be grumpy the whole ti. He just couldn't stand the sight of Lucius but still had to pretend as though he cared.

"If only I could get rid of that boy... wait, why can't I get rid of him? It's not like I can't." After Lucius left a month ago, he'd tasked soone to keep a watch on him in case Lucius was faking not having any unique abilities or skills but since his patience had run out, the person only watched Lucius for a week before being called back.

While working at the church, Lucius learned many things from the visitors who ca for healing potions or other stuff. He learned that it wasn't just knights and mages taking centre stage of this world but also Demonic Beings and Magical Beasts. Demonic Beings from an invading Omniversal Planet and the Magical being natives of this world, so ca from other worlds to seek refuge here and were quite powerful.

He also learned that the cities had teleportation magic arrays to travel from one city to another city of the sa grade in a short period of ti. And also that Guilds were actually owned by those who refer to themselves as Royalty and had imnse influence and power.

Lucius's shift ended in the evening, he was wondering what he was gonna eat for dinner when soone approached him and introduced herself.

"Hi, my na is Julia. I've been watching you for quite so ti now and was wondering if I could buy you dinner. You're so handso that I just couldn't help but fall in love with you." said Julia.

If Lucius was white or had a lighter skin tone then his face would surely have turned red from blushing. 'Are won of this world so daring as to court the man they like?!' he was internally shocked and wanted to refuse but his stomach started gurgling. Without anything to eat, Lucius could only agree, who knows, this woman may be the one to help him with his biggest problem, losing his virginity and transitioning from a boy to a man.
