Father Jas was silent for a long ti and when he ca to, he asked the head researcher if that was all and she confird by nodding.

"Since we can't discover the source of his power, prepare for the Holy Sacrifice. I'm sure that whatever it is that's inside his body can't escape from the eyes of the Holy Mother. I want everything prepared by tomorrow night."

When Lucius revived, he expected to find himself in the lab and experintation would continue but no. He found himself at a huge hall that looked exactly like the Awakening Room but without the blue crystal or the huge magic array formation on the floor. The statue of the beautiful woman was still there though.

Looking around, he realised that the place was empty and he seed to be tied in sothing that resembled an altar. He didn't know what it was but from how he was placed, he was sure that he was in an altar of so sort.

He lay flat on the huge white stone, his arms pulled outwards to create a cross like shape with his legs tied together. He could only move his head and nothing else. The white stones were inscribed with magic formations that when all were activated at once, would create a magic array formation. As for the ceiling, it wasn't there, instead there was the clear night sky with nurous stars accompanying the moon.

Just as he finished his analysis, a large group of people wearing robes entered the hall. Their robes were pure white and loose fitting, they walked barefoot and finally their faces were covered in cloth masks with a print of the woman statue.

They circled around him and began their incantation or whatever it was they were doing. Lucius honestly didn't and didn't care, he just waited patiently for sothing to happen and was sure that it would help him change his current situation.

The incantation lasted for about thirty minutes or so before these fanatics stopped. Then, one of the masked figures holding a dagger slowly approached him. The dagger looked blunt so it obviously wasn't for cutting at. The dagger was also well maintained and looked new.

"Lucius my boy, tonight is our final night together. After tonight, you shall ascend and beco sothing greater! You shall have the highest honour of eting with our Holy Mother and join her ranks to boost her strength! Rejoice boy! You shall be reunited with your own kind!"

Lucius could tell from the voice that this was Father Jas. No matter how perfect he hid his face, even if the man was a pile of shit, Lucius would still recognise him. That's how much this old geezer had affected his mind. Hearing Father Jas speak so righteously, Lucius finally understood what had happened to the others.
