Creak—

Pushed open the door.

With a face that looked half-dead, he supported his old waist, feeling like his body had been drained.

His clothes were in tatters, with much of the originally tightly-bound sleeve and the fabric on his entire left arm missing, looking as if it had been burned by flas.

"Hoo~"

After returning to his residence, Jiang Feng finally let out a small sigh of relief.

He didn’t linger in the wild for a second longer than necessary; after seeing off the three mbers of the Cen family, he rushed nonstop to Dongliang City. After all, this was the main city—though not many experts were stationed here, it was still a city.

Grimacing in pain, his physical condition was far from optimal. From the mont he stepped into the vicinity of Dongliang City, he barely had a chance to rest, except for a few hours spent chatting heart-to-heart with Cen Yueyue last night. The rest of the ti was basically spent fighting.

He fought with Ying Ling, fought with Liang Yu, and then went out to fight with Yin Xue. The key point was that he got slightly injured in all three consecutive fights, especially when he was recently ambushed by Yin Xue. If he hadn’t hidden a technique for controlling Yin Souls and the Paper Folding Skill, he might have already been done for.

"Hiss~"

He touched the wound on his skin.

The color was bright red, with a peculiar hue to it. This wasn’t Jiang attempting so avant-garde fashion; it was a scar left by Yin Xue, temporarily numbed thanks to Xu Huoyao’s help from Yue Yue.

Later, Elder Cen’s Gu Worms completely eradicated the blood poison from his body, but the internal injuries caused by the Blood Explosion lingered, yet Jiang Feng seed undaunted.

His mouth was even harder.

He nearly died from the explosion but didn’t utter a sound, not changing his expression even during a six-word curse, all just to show off in front of his young girlfriend.

Then the truth was revealed.

Bang!

His heart skipped a beat.

He abruptly raised his head, finally noticing in the dimly lit room that he couldn’t see anything, unable to see his fingers in the dark.

The door shut by itself with no wind involved. When he tried to turn back, he found the door had vanished, leaving only an expanse of dark void.

He said nothing.

With a lift of his right hand, he held a dagger at the ready, not using any Daoist Skills or Spiritual Energy because, in such a confined space, there was no chance to use them. If he dared to utter a magic spell, his head might roll before it took effect.

In this environnt, he could only rely on his instincts and reflexes, for which he had already paid the price of two broken ribs.

Whoosh!

His right hand shook.

He initially thought the whizzing wind was aid at him, but he realized it was rely the candle on the table being lit. The source of the blowing sound seed to co from all directions, impossible to pinpoint.

He rembered that the window had been left open when he got out, yet now it was completely closed. Not only that, it seed the room contained only a bed and an octagonal table in the center. An eerie light flickered, illuminating the area around the octagonal table.

"Young Master Jiang, I hope I’m not intruding."

It was a woman he had never seen before!

Fine, Cen Yue Yue will die without peace after... just leaving and soone has already co knocking.

"Who are you?"

He squinted, holding his breath and concentrating. He roughly guessed the woman’s ploy—most of these tactics used environntal illusions to create an illusion. But the question was, when had he fallen into it?

In an equal realm, he should at least have so awareness... wait.

Could it be they’re not in the sa realm?

His expression turned as if he had eaten sothing awful.

"There’s no need for Young Master Jiang to be so tense. We are rely passing by and eting other sect disciples. Hearing of the Swordmaster Peak’s heir being here, naturally our curiosity got the better of us. As for who I am, it seems you’re one to forget about old acquaintances."

She smiled slightly.

The smile carried a dash of seduction, her eyes akin to fox’s eyes, her face plain yet radiant with just a touch of makeup. Her brows were like new moons, her watery eyes filled with emotion.

Staring straight at the man standing not far away, even without uttering a word, one couldn’t help but be drawn to those eyes.

To be honest, the woman’s face couldn’t be considered devastatingly beautiful. If Yue Yue was a perfect-ten beauty, makeup would put this woman at around an eight, yet she was exceptionally pleasing to the eye.

At first glance, it wasn’t astonishing; her features could only be called delicate. But upon closer inspection, there was an inexplicable harmony; the more you looked, the more appealing she beca, her myriad expressions almost effortlessly captivating.

"Have we t before?"

He looked puzzled.

He swore he had never seen this mysterious woman before; the blue and white gradient robe she wore was completely unfamiliar, not to ntion the pale green cross-collared robe.

And although she seed polite, her words carried an unmistakable sense of pressure. Yet she seed genuinely perplexed by Jiang Feng’s apparent lack of recognition; she smiled slightly.

"My na is Jin Yuan."

"Oh."

He nodded.

Right, he really couldn’t rember, though it felt sowhat familiar. But then, a snap of the fingers rang crisp in the dark!

This nearly triggered Jiang Feng’s PTSD, with Thunder Light imdiately flashing in his hidden right hand. At this point, he couldn’t bother worrying about potential ambushes. If she advanced, he’d go down fighting!

And then...

"My na is Tong Xin."

Yet another woman appeared, mysteriously sitting on the left side of the octagonal table, dressed in a pale red robe, with a smile that radiated an innocent brilliance, her eyes holding no hostility, only curiosity.

But.

He still couldn’t rember, yes, he still found her na only vaguely familiar.

Then, just as before, a snap of fingers echoed ’snap,’ each syllable of the last voice delivered word by word.

"I, am, Ying, Ling."

"Oh damn, it’s you!"

This ti he understood.

The third shadow appeared on the right side of the octagonal table, and Jiang Feng was so frightened he jumped straight up, his head hitting the ceiling with a thump. He couldn’t even care about the pain, backpedaling frenetically, yet found he couldn’t create any distance.

Those three seed glued to him like leeches, impossible to shake off!

"Oh, Young Master Jiang wasn’t reacting like this yesterday, no, the day before yesterday."

It was now two days later, after midnight.

Looking at Ying Ling’s familiar baby face, he felt an inexplicable dread. In truth, each of these three won was a national beauty, and theoretically, he should feel honored to have them at his doorstep.

But all he felt was terror.

Both hands remained behind his back, holding three pieces of talisman paper in one hand and the enigmatic presence of the Soul Summoning Banner at his waist, while his other hand decisively pulled out a life-saving firearm.

He was already contemplating whether, if he self-detonated right now, he could escape the clutches of these three won.

"Miss Ying Ling, lo-long ti no see."

"Young master is truly cold-hearted."

A sudden shift from a cold to teasing tone.

"Just yesterday, you were promising to find a place for our sisters at a brothel, to host many guests and support the sect..."

"Look, here we three sisters are, at your service."

"Pray tell, where does the young master intend to sell us three sisters as slaves or prostitutes?"
