Drake’s eyelid twitched and he quickly stopped him. "Okay calm down Jimmy Neutron. She’s not going to do anything like that, and no heavenly tribulation lightning won’t strike you if you go over."

’Damn, this kid is over thinking things. Next thing you know, he’s getting worried over a teor falling out of the sky and smashing him to a patty.’ thought Drake internally.

Simon really didn’t know what to do once he got there.

"Simon you just have to talk to her. There really is nothing to it, seriously. What’s the worst that could happen?"

Drake saw how indecisive he was and offered. "Alright, listen close. I’ll give you a few key points that will help you when you talk to girls. First of all you got to rember that you’re the man and you hold the power. Alright? So you can’t show fear. What are you most proud of about yourself?"

Simon wasn’t sure whether that was a question so he asked. "Is that a question I should answer?"

"Yes you should answer. And doesn’t have to be about girls, just generally. What is your greatest achievent?" Nodded Drake.

"My video ga skills."Simon imdiately called out confidently.

The corner of Drake lips twitched and he glared with irritation. "Really kid? Are you serious right now?"

"What? You said generally. Okay fine, I guess it would be tech related stuff." Simon raised his hands then quickly changed his response.

Drake restrained himself and nodded. "How good exactly are you with tech?"

"As long as it runs on power and it can be fixed, then it don’t matter how broken it is. I’m confident I can fix it." Simon’s chest unconsciously puffed out as he said this.

He was a true Tinker. The Wes family considered themselves chanics, engineers and electricians. They were closer with technology than they were with other humans and Simon was just like the rest of his family.

From a very young age he had already been introduced to the world of technology. He was already capable of building cars and air crafts by the ti he was ten. hen he was thirteen he was already into the world of advanced tech and chanisms like fixing and building War Fras.

Thus fixing tech stuff was sothing he was very confident in.

There was a smile on Drake’s lips when he saw the pride and confidence that suddenly radiated from Simon’s whole being. "See? Now that’s the kind of confidence I’m talking about. Now you see how confidence you felt when you were talking about your expertise? I want you to keep reminding yourself about your specialty. The more you do that the more the pride cancels out your nervousness." Said Drake. Then he added.

"Put on a poker face if you can’t help it. I’m not telling you to frown or put on a sour expression on your face, but you know smile a little."

"Okay I got you. Don’t panic and smile." Simon nodded then reminded himself.

Drake then continued. "Next thing you need to do is be interesting and mysterious, try to show so curiosity but don’t be to interested or you’ll start simping. That’ll send the wrong ssages and she might think you’re a creep or a stalker."

Simon shook his head. "Definitely don’t want that."

Drake said solemnly. "No you do not. Next thing is don’t talk too much, but participate. The species of won generally like to talk so let them. Though sotis they hold themselves back so you have to put in so extra effort to make her loosen up enough to talk freely. Just ask a question and let her fly."

Simon nodded in understanding.

Drake’s face suddenly turned extrely solemn as he spoke. "Now cos the most important part. I saved this one for last especially because of how important it is, so pay close attention. The last thing is to ’Listen’."

"Listen?" Simon had been expecting so kind of legendary pick up line or technique that never failed but then Drake only said one word leaving him baffled.

He was at a complete loss for words. Simon was a bit dissatisfied that Drake dragged so much concentration and focus only to say one word.

’What the hell man of course it’s only natural that I listen to her when she talks. You don’t have to freaking remind .’ He thought. But he refrained from saying anything.

Drake knew that simon did not undersrand him, but he took his ti to continue explaining. "That’s right. Listen to everything she says and rember them. A lot of guys make mistakes when it cos to this part. Everyone wants to talk about himself, or brag about sothing he did. Yes it’s good to do that every once in a while, but you have to control it otherwise you’re simply boring her."

"Boring her?" Simon raised an eyebrow and Drake nodded.

"That’s right, boring her." Drake continued. "You need to understand that a woman’s head works completely different from how us n’s heads do. While what you’re saying might not be boring, at that ti, she wants to talk every ti you’re talking and not letting her tell you what she wants, then you’re boring her. so here’s my advice. When you notice that she wants to talk, ’Let her!’"

Simon nodded then inquired. "Okay, then how do I know what to talk about that isn’t boring to her."

Drake snapped his fingers and pointed at Simon like he had caught on to the right thing. "Thats a very good question and the answer to it is to pay attention to her. The key is to listen. Girls never tell you what they want directly, instead they like to insinuate and let you do the math and figure it out. So if you want to talk to talk to her, you have to talk about what she wants, then find the relationship between what she wants to talk about and what you want to talk about then try to bridge them and switch over to what you like. Does that make any sense?"

Simon hesitated a little but then shook his head and said, "Not really, to be honest."

Drake was happy to elaborate. So he added. "Think about it like this; there are two circles. One is yours and the other is hers. Now for her, everything that isn’t within the boundaries of her circle is boring. If you want to talk to her, then you have to co out of your own circle and enter hers. Then you have to find sothing in her circle of things she likes talking about that is similar to what is in your circle. Then use that as a starting point to rge your circle with her circle by talking about that thing. Once your circle is completely rged with hers she will notice that you are also imrsed in the conversation this will make her happy that you have sothing in comm. At that point, try to take the lead on the conversation then drag it slowly in the dirextion you know about when this is done you can now pull your circles separate. Only now because she’s still excited that she’s talking about what she like she has no idea that she is no longer within her circle but in yours. Now that you’re back in your own territory you are the King you’ ll start leading. She will also notice that you seem to know a lot of stuff that even she doesn’t know about that will raise your level of mysteriousness in her heart which will make her even more curious about you. Once you have her curiosity it ans you’re not boring. A woman’s curiosity is a powerful weapon that you can use against her. The more curious a girl is about you the more attracted she’ll be to you."

Drake reminded him. "Keep this in mind; girls don’t fall in love with you first. They first fall in love with how you make them feel. A girl is stickier than a cat when she likes you, but If she finds you boring she’ll drop you the mont she finds sothing a little bit more interesting than you. There’s a small saying that a woman would rather be with a man that beats her to death than one that bores her to death. So even if you can’t be all powerful when it cos to talking to girls try to remain mysterious that will keep her curious."

Simon absorbed everything Drake taught him.

After talking about a few more things Drake decided all Simon needed now was practice.

There were lots of girls in the Park, and more were coming with every second so there were countless targets for Simon to practice on.

However, after approaching five girls and making barely any progress Simon could not help but complained. "I’m not making any progress out there. Everyti I walk up to a girl it’s like my stupid brain resets. When are you going to teach your divine pick-up lines?" He groaned.

Drake looked him in the eyes and asked. "Why do you need to teach you anymore pick-up lines when you already know so much.?"

Simon was stunned by the question. "I thought the whole point of this is that you were going to teach your pick up lines."

Drake shook his head slowly. It seed this guy didn’t understand. "Tell Simon, which do you think is more useful in a a ga active skills or passive skills?"

"Passive skills!" Simon did not hesitate for a second before giving his response.

As a seasoned veteran in video gas, Simon knew just how useful passive skills were.

Drake resud speaking when he heard Simon’s response. "I told you earlier that picking up girls is like playing video gas, but you did not fully grasp my aning, so let explain sothing to you."

Simon nodded and started paying closer attention.

Drake began. "Earlier you ntioned courting attention, so I would like to assu that you have read a few books on how to pick up and talk to girls?" He half asked and Simon nodded.

Then Drake smiled and continued. "Actually everything you learned from the book are all skills. but they are active skills."

Simon’s was startled and his eyes widened.

"You know when you’re playing video gas and as you start a new level all your active skills start powering up but they take so ti to refresh? Approaching a girl is a lot like starting a new level in a ga.

This is a warzone Simon. And once you step into the battlefield everything you think you know about the art of war, all your active skills, all your techniques you completely forget them. This forgetting phenona is what I call the ’Refresh Syndro’. Actually, you haven’t lost your skills at this ti it’s just that they’re temporarily unavailable to you. This happens because you’re not comfortable yet. If you want to cure the ’Refresh Syndro’ then you have to find a way to get comfortable."
