Chapter 77: Incur His Wrath
"A couple of billion dollars will get you a lifeti of happiness that your mother didn't give you. So stay put. Make sure neither your father nor your mother can get their hands on it."
"What are you rambling about?" she groaned. He swiveled to glare at her. "Isn't this supposed to be a spike in the price or sothing?"
Mo Qingchen nodded. "The price might plumt for a short while after this."
Qian ng waited for him to explain, when he didn't she elaborated. "I don't understand cryptocurrency and don't believe in it, okay? Explain to why you think I should hold on to sothing that might lose money." She crossed her hand over her chest.
He looked at her with shock. "The price shot up a lot more than the projected growth. It's been happening for a while now. The conservative growth of each coin by 2030 is 350,000 dollars per coin."
Her brows shot up in surprise. "And the non-conservative price?" she asked.
"550,000 dollars a coin. But if you factor in another mystery buyer, the growth can be higher."
Qian ng gaped at his excitent. "Keep an air of mystery around the investnt and rake in the benefits from the infamy and curiosity," she whispered. Mo Qingchen nodded.
"Exactly."
"It's a risk," she countered.
"Oh, co on. Don't act with . You've always been a crazy woman when it cos to these things. You take risks like no one else I know. That's why you are so successful at such a young age."
She had to attest to that. "So, I forget it exists, pay my taxes on ti and rake in the benefits?"
He tilted his head. "And what are you taking for this consultation?" she challenged.
"Consider this your paynt for helping with the software design," he replied sardonically. She threw her head back in laughter.
"Well, it would make up for the money." That was for sure. "Why, Mo Qingchen, you're quite resourceful, aren't you?"
"Of course," he grunted. "I am not even in a mood to talk about 1314 now."
Qian ng sat up straight. "What happened to ignore the crypto? Sit down. Have dinner and then brainstorm with ."
It took Mo Qingchen an hour and dinner to calm the excess energy in his body. He was on a high from the returns. He was so caught up that he didn't even think about how he hadn't been the one to make the money but Yun Qian ng.
It was safe to say that right after their discussion about the signing and future plans for human resources and technological developnt of the dating app, Qian ng retreated to her room and made sure she transferred every di in the account to herself. Her accountant was not happy with the additional work, but when he saw the amount, he prayed to God that he stumbled upon such money soday, too.
He had got a couple of dollars from the pockets of his pants before, but this was a bumper incident that was nothing short of a miracle.

A week later:
Mo Qingchen had arrived at the airport ahead of her, so she woke up in the morning having her bags already packed. She had never ridden in a limousine before and had never wanted to. In her mind, they were nothing but flashy vessels that were not worth the money. She had scoffed at the car when she saw it and asked the driver who bought it.
And hence, Qian ng found out that it was Mo Qingchen's father's car. He was in town and would be living in this house after they left.
The limo pulled alongside a sleek private jet, the Mo family crest obnoxiously stamped on the side of it. She was too close to the window and looked at this blatant display of wealth. It was slightly disgusting. The upkeeping of a jet, the parts, fuel, and staff cost a lot of money. And the taxes on it were exorbitant as well. She preferred flying comrcial because she didn't need to spend stupid money on a status symbol and if she got enough points, she could fly for free. Which was what happened now.
But she was a tad bit excited. Like every other little girl, she had on occasion wondered what it would be like to be a rockstar, riding on private jets and all. Apparent;y, shaful extravagance was perfectly acceptable in certain situations.
The car door swung open, bringing her back to the mont, Kevin was in front of her, bearing no expression as he offered her his hand. It was strange to be catered to in this manner. Unnerving, even.
She waved him off as she stepped out of the car. "Thank you so much for your hospitality," she smiled awkwardly.
He smiled back, finally bringing so life to his face. "Enjoy your trip, Miss Yun." He shut the door the second she had stepped away from the car.
"I am going back to Shanghai." Her voice was full of excitent, it barely sounded like herself.
"Yes, I know." He held back a laugh, definitely amused. "Please do stay with us on your next trip to Paris. We will take care of you."
"Your Mr. Mo will not be pleased that you extended the offer, Kevin. Are you sure you want to incur his wrath?" Qian ng teased.
"I am sure Young Master Mo will not be against the idea of you staying over. Better if you pay a small fee. He wouldn't mind at all." He let out a small smile.
"You'll have to guide around the house and I might co back in different stages of scandalizing." Her stay had been eventful, to say the least.
