Chapter 407: Don't Want To Be Infected
The bodyguard didn't need an explanation about who she was ntioning. Mrs. Mo was definitely talking about her husband.
She stopped in front of a room and slid the door open.
The people inside looked up in surprise.
"ng'er!" Jiang Xin exclaid.
Qian ng ignored her and stepped inside, pretending to scrutinize her father. He was, as she knew, perfectly fine.
"Ah, from how you acted, I was thinking you were at the doorstep of death. You look better than the last ti I saw you," she claid, rolling her eyes. "Have so sha, Mr. Yun…" She clucked her tongue.
The door to the room was closed by the bodyguard. Finally, the couple saw him.
"Why are you bringing in that person?" Yun Sui Bo asked angrily.
"He's my bodyguard. He goes wherever I do," she said with a hint of boredom.
Jiang Xin tried to diate and spoke softly. "What is the use of a bodyguard when you are with family?"
Qian ng rolled her eyes. "I don't need him at other tis. I ask for him especially when there is family involved."
Yun Sui Bo cleared his throat but the glare in his eyes was evident.
"Sit down. We need to talk."
Qian ng looked around the room and found a seat that was farther away from the couple. But it was still closer than she would have wanted to be.
She gingerly sat down, looking at the struck expression on her father's face, who had expected her to sit beside his bed as a courtesy.
Qian ng had long left behind her manners when it ca to her father, so she didn't pay him any attention.
The bodyguard planted himself beside Qian ng and stared intently at the older couple. He had a little idea about what was happening, having overheard several conversations since he was employed to protect Mrs. Mo, and he didn't have a high opinion of these people.
"Co closer," Yun Sui Bo barked.
Qian ng flashed him a smile. "Sorry, I don't know what disease you caught. I don't want to be infected by you," she said calmly.
Yun Sui Bo's eyes grew wide and the tell-tale puffing of his face could be seen. When he couldn't take out his anger by screaming and making comnts, his face would turn this way.
Qian ng felt a spark of joy in her heart.
"I don't have a transmittable disease," he responded after calming down.
"How do you know that?" Qian ng countered. She lacked discretion when she pulled out a tissue from her bag and wiped her hands. She made sure Jiang Xin and Yun Sui Bo saw it.
"I told you… I spoke to the doctor!" Jiang Xin jumped in easily.
Qian ng raised her brow. "Didn't you say that you didn't understand much? That's why you called , didn't you?"
Jiang Xin nodded, "But I understood so parts of it," she murmured softly.
Qian ng nodded. "Let's call the doctor and hear the diagnosis, shall we?"
Jiang Xin looked at Yun Sui Bo for permission and then pressed the call button. The nurse ca running and found the chill in the air.
"Do you mind calling the doctor? I am Mr. Yun's biological descendent," Qian ng said dispassionately.
The nurse blinked in surprise, catching the hostility but quickly scurried away to call the doctor.
Qian ng silently leaned back into the seat, her eyes on Yun Sui Bo.
"What surprise do you bring?" Yun Sui Bo asked. He didn't know what it was, but he was sure it was nothing good.
"You will find out once I have spoken to the doctor. The important thing is: why have you called , Mr. Yun?" she asked.
He cleared his throat. "You have been eting with a lot of people, I hear," he said.
She rolled her eyes. "Those are your unfounded conclusions. Why? I can't even et people these days? Do I look like the collared dog that you can command to sit?" She leaned in and questioned him.
"Don't twist my words. You know very well that you are incapable of taking over Yun Corporation. The real-estate and building industry is predominantly male-centric and they will crush you. Why you want to oppose with such bogus accusation is beyond my imagination," he told her sharply.
"The jewelry business is predominantly female-centric, I also don't understand why you and your wife are adamant to take my company from when you know nothing about it." She paused. "Oh, that's not right. I know why now. Mr. Yun, you are a horrible businessman, that's why."
"Don't speak like you know everything in the world!" he snapped. "You are not the only intelligent person. This personality of yours is what people hate about you."
Qian ng scoffed. "No one hates except you, father. I am really amicable with people who treat properly. I have a low tolerance for sneaky and parasitic people."
From the corner of her eyes, she saw the door slide open and she stopped talking. The doctor entered and seed blissfully oblivious to the tension in the room.
Qian ng shot up to her feet and bowed.
"Ah, you must be Mr. Yun's daughter," the older gentleman started.
Qian ng nodded, keeping a dignified expression.
"Your father has raised blood pressure. We have done all the tests but, in my opinion, your father is healthy. His raised blood pressure is a product of sothing angering him today. Don't worry about him."
Qian ng chuckled. "Thank you for giving your honest opinion, doctor," she began. "And I apologize that you need to take care of this fake patient and waste decades of your experience on him." She bowed apologetically.
The doctor startled and took a step back. Suddenly, he realized that the patient and the woman beside him were looking at him with exasperation.
He would never understand wealthy people.
"Ah…" he trailed off.
"Please let them know how to take care of my father. He will have an excellent rest here, I am sure." She smiled beautifully.
