Jiang Feng was busy.

At this mont, two small vendors on electric tricycles slowly rode into the entrance of the square. One sold candied haws, the other grilled sausages.

Seeing his peers, Jiang Feng was a little dumbfounded. In this secluded forest, besides , are there actually other people setting up stalls?

The two vendors set up their stalls not far from Jiang Feng and began selling their goods. They were, of course, there for the morning rush of custors. In recent days, more people had been visiting Fengqi Mountain, and many ca to the small square specifically for breakfast. With more custors, naturally, there were more stalls. It followed the sa principle as urban developnt: where people gathered, shops would appear.

Jiang Feng, with his efforts alone, had increased the foot traffic to Fengqi Mountain. He didn’t realize this; after all, he was just running a small stall.

But there were indeed many people buying his stead buns!

"Pork and cabbage stead buns, Orleans chicken leg stead buns! Boss Jiang, you’ve introduced new items again."

The custor at the front was a regular. He had been coming every morning since Jiang Feng’s days at Hongshan Park. The man was a retired cadre, particularly spirited, who exercised every morning. It was evident that his pension wasn’t low. Jiang Feng had changed locations twice, but the man still often ca by.

"Yes, with more custors, I need to vary the nu," Jiang Feng said, chatting a bit more upon seeing a regular.

"I want two pork and cabbage stead buns, a bowl of porridge, and three tea eggs," the old cadre said with a smile.

"Okay."

"Your cooking skills are really good! If we’d had a cook like you in the army back then, the troops’ combat effectiveness would have increased significantly!"

Hearing the old cadre’s words, Jiang Feng laughed, "That’s a bit of an exaggeration."

Upon hearing this, the old cadre waved his hand. "Not an exaggeration at all. I was in the army for many years, and logistics were very important. What most soldiers cared about most was the food.

"When the food is good, everyone is happy and energetic every day.

"If the food is bad, the unit’s atmosphere becos quite bleak."

The old cadre sat down at a small table. Jiang Feng prepared the stead buns, tea eggs, and corn porridge, and had the older woman helping him take them over.

The old cadre’s favorite was the tea eggs. He would order a few every ti he ca.

After the tea eggs were brought over, he picked one up, finding it still a little hot to the touch. The eggshell peeled off easily, and the dark tea marinade seeped out from the cracks. A fragrance filled the air, stimulating the appetite. The old cadre held the tea egg by its unpeeled bottom and impatiently took a bite.

The distinct layers of the tea egg’s flavor blossod in his mouth. The initial taste was mild, gradually becoming richer towards the center. Clearly, it was marinated to perfection. The satisfying texture made the old cadre show a content expression.

"This is really not bad at all!"

The tea eggs Jiang Feng made also involved a special technique. This thod could be described as both difficult and simple. First, the eggs were hard-boiled. Then, each egg was gently pressed with the palm and rolled along a tabletop. The pressure had to be applied evenly, just enough to create fine cracks in the shell without breaking it open. This way, the tea marinade could seep through the cracks and perate the inside. One just needed to prepare the tea marinade, add the cracked eggs, simr them in it on high heat for half an hour, and then let them soak in the marinade overnight. And then the tea eggs would be ready.

The old cadre peeled another tea egg and finished it in a few bites. He felt uncomfortable if he didn’t eat these tea eggs every day. The old cadre had eaten at Jiang Feng’s stall many tis and had never found anything that wasn’t to his liking! That was quite rare.

The tea eggs were delicious, and so were the stead buns. The old cadre was completely satisfied.

After eating, he approached Jiang Feng’s stall and asked, "Boss, do you take wedding catering jobs? My son is getting married soon, and I want to hire you as the chef. Just make two or three dishes per table. What do you think?"

Upon hearing the old cadre’s question, Jiang Feng politely replied, "I’m not considering that. Banquets are usually handled by hotel culinary teams, and it wouldn’t be appropriate for to step in. Plus, I’ve never done it before. We can talk about it if an opportunity arises in the future."

The old cadre nodded and didn’t press the matter. He left, content and satisfied after his enjoyable al.

Soon after, another group of custors approached.

"That’s the place! Their buns are super tasty!"

"Really? All this way for buns?"

"Trust , you won’t go wrong!"

The group hurried over, chattering noisily.

Such occurrences were common, and Jiang Feng was no longer surprised by them. After all, one can only know the true taste of food by trying it; without tasting, doubts always linger.

This group of custors consisted of four people, who bought eight buns and two tea eggs. After getting their buns, they dug in enthusiastically. Upon tasting the delicious flavor, they couldn’t help but exclaim in amazent.

"Wow, this is really good!"

"Very tasty!"

"Not bad!"

At this point, one of them ate rather quickly, gobbling down two tea eggs in succession. The other two each got a tea egg as well.

The last guy imdiately complained, "Damn, you ate my egg! What am I supposed to eat?"

"I’ll get you another one. I couldn’t help myself," the friend said sheepishly, then went to buy another tea egg.

Everyone enjoyed their food imnsely. The square was filled with noise and cheer, growing livelier by the mont. Wave after wave of custors kept coming.

Soon, the small square was buzzing with activity. A large crowd had unknowingly ford in front of Jiang Feng’s food truck.

Soone even took out their phone to record a video:

"I’m currently at the square on the mid-slope of Fengqi Mountain. Look at how many people are here; they’re all here for the buns."

"This stall owner was selling braised at at the resort just a few days ago, and this week he’s on Fengqi Mountain selling buns."

"The taste of those buns is especially good, very satisfying, with thin skins and generous fillings. I’ve never had such substantial buns before!"

"Now everyone calls him ’Executive Chef Jiang’."

"For those of you craving buns, co quickly!"

A few custors posted short videos. In the age of social dia, there’s nothing new under the sun. These types of short videos were very popular locally. The most popular video garnered over 3,000 comnts. While not a national sensation, it was quite an achievent for a local city video.

"Why does this guy at the food truck look so familiar?"

"Isn’t that the braised at vendor from the resort who got popular last week because he’s quite handso?"

"He’s selling buns on Fengqi Mountain now? Could this be an influencer stunt?"

"Don’t spread rumors! People are genuinely there for his buns!"

"I don’t know about the buns, but I’ve tried his braised at, and it’s really delicious!"

"Liu Bao, get to work! Go check out that spot!"

The comnt section was brimming with enthusiasm.

anwhile, under the latest video by local food blogger Liu Bao, many new comnts suddenly appeared.

"Brother Bao, go check out how the buns at Fengqi Mountain taste!"

"That owner is at Fengqi Mountain again. Go try his buns!"

"Brother Bao, ti to work! There’s a big story here!"

Liu Bao was wondering where to find his next story for a video when he suddenly noticed the comnts from his followers. He was a bit bewildered.

Go to Fengqi Mountain to try buns? Isn’t that just a scenic area, mostly for hikers?

Who in their right mind would go there to sell buns?!

Liu Bao browsed through the comnts. After reading them, he understood.

So it’s that braised at stall owner! I’ve been looking for him for two days; I really wanted to try his braised at!

And now he’s gone to Fengqi Mountain to sell buns!

Tomorrow’s content is sorted!

Liu Bao was suddenly excited. He secretly decided to head to Fengqi Mountain first thing tomorrow morning to try the buns!
