Fu Wei and his four classmates were all energetic first-year college students. Today was Thursday, with no important classes in the morning, so they had agreed to hike up the mountain to watch the sunrise and then return to their dormitory to sleep.
After watching the sunrise, they didn’t wait for the cable car and chose to hike down from the mountain at a fast pace.
Halfway down the mountain, they ca across a food truck.
Since they were really hungry, each of them bought a bun.
The buns looked especially appealing—large and round.
They were warm to the touch, soft, and springy.
The group had been feeling a bit cold, and the buns ward their hands.
Then, unable to restrain their hunger, they took a bite of the buns as they continued down the mountain.
Fu Wei took a bite.
With that first bite, he easily reached the at filling.
The bun’s skin had its own fragrant wheat aroma and was extrely soft.
The soy-braised at filling was still scalding hot. The initial sensation was intense heat, but as his tongue adjusted, the delicious flavor of the sauce burst forth in his mouth.
The soy-braised at filling had been specially processed. It had absorbed the sauce, turning a deep reddish-brown. It slled wonderful, looked enticing, and tasted even better.
"Holy crap?"
Fu Wei, looking at the soy-braised at bun in his hand, was sowhat surprised.
"This is so delicious!"
The four others felt the sa. One bite left them extrely satisfied, and they imdiately started gobbling down their buns eagerly, quickly finishing the delicious buns.
After eating, they all felt pleasantly full.
"Aweso! So tasty!"
"The at filling is so generous, and the juices are rich! How can a small stall in a place like this achieve such quality?"
"Seriously good, way better than what the school serves. Those school buns are terrible—all cabbage and hardly any at."
The group exclaid in amazent.
"Shall we go buy a few more?"
"Let’s go, turn back, get two more each!"
"Why not have a bowl of porridge as well, and skip the school cafeteria?"
"Okay, there are small stools next to the food truck, we can sit right there."
Having reached a consensus, they imdiately turned around to head back.
As they headed back up, Fu Wei’s expression suddenly changed.
"Look over there, where’s the food truck?"
They had not yet reached the bend and could only see a bit of the corner from the road.
Jiang Feng’s food truck had been right there.
They had only walked a short distance down, a delay of just a few minutes. Now that they had returned, the food truck was gone?
"Holy crap! Is it haunted?"
"Could it be... those buns weren’t made by humans?"
"Don’t scare !"
"Buns this delicious... could a human even make them?"
The sun had just risen, and the sky was still dim, not yet fully bright.
With no one else on the mountain path, could it really be haunted?
One of them, bolder than the rest, strode forward directly to the corner.
He glanced to the side and saw Jiang Feng unloading tables and small stools from the food truck.
It turned out the wind at the previous spot had been a bit strong. Jiang Feng, feeling cold, had packed up the tables, chairs, and sign, then driven the truck a little further in.
That move had nearly scared the college students half to death.
"The stall is inside! What are you afraid of?"
"Seriously, what ghosts? If there’s a ghost, tell it to co find !" the bold one shouted to the others.
Hearing his words, the others, still dubious, walked up. Upon seeing Jiang Feng’s food truck, they finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Man, that was a scare! So early in the morning, it shocked wide awake!"
They quickly made their way back to Jiang Feng’s stall.
"Boss, give us two more buns each, and a bowl of corn and pumpkin porridge."
"Alright."
When Jiang Feng saw them return, he guessed it was because the buns were delicious.
He took out ten more buns from the stear, this ti presenting them on plates covered with plastic wrap to ensure cleanliness.
Jiang Feng also filled five disposable containers with corn and pumpkin porridge.
The five were starving. With the food finally in front of them, they eagerly grabbed the buns and dug in.
The buns were truly delicious.
The flavor of this soy-braised at was also excellent.
The only downside was that they vanished in just a few bites.
They all felt like they’d devoured a rare delicacy in a flash—gone before they could truly savor the taste!
After finishing the buns, they looked at one another.
One of the guys, who had been eating rather slowly, noticed everyone eyeing the remaining bun he had. He promptly snatched it up and wolfed it down.
Seeing this, everyone else gave up on the idea of asking him for half to try.
Fu Wei looked into his bowl of corn and pumpkin porridge.
The golden corn kernels, cooked until exceptionally soft, glistened as if crystalline and wobbled like jelly. Streaks of orange pumpkin shreds were mixed in, making the dish look even more appetizing.
The fresh, sweet aroma of corn wafted up.
This corn and pumpkin porridge looked extrely good as well.
Fu Wei scooped up a spoonful of the porridge with a disposable spoon, blew on it, and then took a sip.
A unique sweetness blossod in his mouth.
The corn porridge was instantly refreshing and sweet on the tongue, its texture fragrant and smooth. The sweetness of pumpkin mingled with the corn’s distinct flavor.
Each sip sent a pleasant warmth through his stomach.
"MMM~~"
Fu Wei sighed in contentnt.
This feeling is just too good.
The buns are so delicious, and the porridge is equally tasty.
The greatest reward from this sunrise trip wasn’t seeing the sunrise itself, but stumbling upon this little stall on the way down the mountain!
"The taste is really good," Fu Wei said again.
The others chorused in agreent.
"This porridge is amazing! Our school has corn and pumpkin porridge too, but how co it tastes nothing like this?"
"Ugh, don’t even get started on the school’s porridge. Honestly, add a bit of cabbage to that stuff, and it’s no different from the pig feed back in my hotown!"
"The school’s porridge is so watery. Who even bothers with corn porridge there? Everyone just gets millet porridge; at least that’s okay even if it’s diluted."
"This little stall is so delicious, why did it set up shop here? If it were in front of our school, business would explode!"
They ate with great enjoynt.
Beside the food truck, there was a green trash bin cart that Jiang Feng had specifically brought along.
After they had their fill, they took the initiative to throw away the disposable al containers into the trash cart and then left, feeling completely satisfied.
They had been cold, sleepy, and hungry, running on sheer willpower.
But after this breakfast, they instantly felt a warm, comforting sensation spread through them—it was incredibly pleasant.
This sunrise trip was definitely worth it!
It would be great if this stall could open near our school, they thought wistfully.
Although they claid to love outdoor activities, they usually couldn’t drag themselves out of bed early and often skipped breakfast.
No matter how delicious the food, they wouldn’t co this far to the outskirts to buy it.
They could only hope for fate to intervene.
"Should we suggest it to him? There are so many snack stalls on the street next to our school; business would definitely be better there than here!"
"Forget it. The boss probably has his own reasons."
"It would be great if we could run into this stall again."
They left in high spirits, heading down the mountain.
Previously, descending the mountain, they would have been too tired to talk, but now they were full of chatter.
Their only hope was to encounter such delicious street food again.
「The sky gradually brightened.」
At that mont, another wave of tourists descended the mountain.
Everyone was both hungry and tired.
While resting at the small plaza, they noticed a parked food truck with steam still billowing from its chimney. The tourists imdiately flocked to it.
No matter what it was selling, they’d first buy sothing.
At the very least, it would alleviate so of their hunger.
Seeing so many custors, Jiang Feng felt relaxed and happy.
Business here was better than he had expected.
The flow of custors was quite substantial.
The system task required him to sell breakfast, with the stipulation that any sales before 12 PM counted as breakfast.
Serving 200 custors within this ti would not be a problem.
