The next day, Briar woke up feeling refreshed.
She squinted her eyes satisfactorily as she looked at the man who was sleeping by her side.
It was still early and Logan was still asleep, giving her so ti to look at him longingly before she started her morning chores.
After attending the banquet and seeing the importance that her mother-in-law put on her, she was determined to continue being a good daughter-in-law.
Although it was very nice being lazy all this ti, she had thought hard about it last night. She couldn’t dare be relaxed. For soone like her who hasn’t made any great achievents as far as she was concerned, being diligent might keep on raising the affection the family has for her.
She looked at him for a while before pecking him on the lips and smiled shyly after stealing a kiss.
Feeling hot with her actions, Briar flutteringly climbed down the bed as if fleeing and in under a minute she was dressed in a robe and fleeing to the bathroom.
Logan’s lips curled upward without opening his eyes. If Briar had been here, she would have realized that the husband was awake and that her secret display of affection was already known.
Briar freshened up and wore sothing casual before leaving the bedroom with light steps. She didn’t want to disturb her husband. He works very hard.
On this morning, feeling more like a madam, Briar took over the breakfast from the chefs and made a sumptuous al for them and al boxes for the kids.
By the ti the kids woke up, the food had already been made and Briar was back to the bedroom where she was taking another shower.
She had sweated whilst cooking. Besides, if she didn’t take another shower, she wouldn’t be comfortable sending the kids to school later.
Once she was done with her shower, she picked a nice maxi dress and a shawl to cover her bare shoulders later. She wore flat shoes and picked a nice handbag, which she added a few anities to use later during the day.
Once that was done, she walked towards Logan, who was ready and in the middle of wearing his tie.
As a virtuous wife who hadn’t done much ever since she got sick, she smiled at Logan who was standing in front of the full-length mirror and said, "Hubby, let help you with that," volunteering in a coy voice which made Logan swallow hard.
"Mm!" he grunted a response as he let go of the tie and she happily took over.
She was now standing right in front of him, and her warm breath kept on coming over to his side. Briar was on the shorter side, so when dealing with Logan, she would have to stand on her tiptoes.
Logan’s eyes were seeing the head full of very short hair, but he didn’t dislike it. Seeing this head reminded him of the sacrifices and unfairness Briar suffered because of him. She was like a heroine. His heroine and he loved how it rolled on his tongue.
Briar was unaware of what Logan was thinking. She just ticulously tied his tie with patience. As soone who had diligently learned so much about taking care of a husband and children, she found this to be a child’s play.
It wasn’t long before the tie was finished. Seeing her work, she smiled happily as she straightened his suit neatly.
"Done!" she inford him as she raised her eyes at him smilingly, her expression so bright it made Logan have other thoughts.
He had been suppressing himself for long and this little nymph always tempts him in many ways all the ti and yet doesn’t dare be bold to continue.
Although he was waiting for the right ti, now that he knew about her traditions, he couldn’t help but want to steal sothing.
With that thought in mind, while Briar was still smiling foolishly at him as if seeking praise, he lowered his head, his actions startling Briar, who wasn’t expecting such a move so early in the morning. She couldn’t help but feel hot as his head continued to lower towards hers.
Knowing what was coming, she unconsciously closed her eyes and felt his lips touching hers shortly after. Her world exploded right there.
If she was, to be honest, this could be regarded as the second ti that the two of them were actually kissing if she excludes the stolen kisses done when one was sleeping.
Feeling his lips on hers, Briar, who had been starving and waiting for this very mont to co again though Logan had not been making a move, was over the moon.
Logan’s hands wrapped around her waist, while hers snaked their way around his neck as the kiss deepened.
The room was filled with the sounds of kissing and Briar, whose experience was quite lacking, found herself lacking oxygen. She started patting Logan on his shoulder to let go.
Logan’s lips curled upward upon noticing that she couldn’t breathe well. The joy of being her first filled him once again. He couldn’t help but want to devour her.
He let go of those lips for a mont, allowing her to take a deep breath as he teased her. "Rember to take a breath. I wouldn’t want you fainting on before we go any further!"
Briar, who had been teased, felt very ashad about her lack of knowledge. She buried her face in his chest, making Logan, who was thinking of continuing, briefly chuckle heartily as he patted her back in comfort.
Briar couldn’t retort the man at all, so she could only remain in that position while feeling embarrassed.
Seeing that she was about to disappear with embarrassnt, Logan decided to show rcy. He lifted her head with his fingers, forcing her to look at him.
Once their gazes were locked, he licked his lips suggestively, making Briar shy away, thinking that he was a rogue.
However, Logan wasn’t going to let her go easily as he forced her to look at him again before saying, "Don’t worry. Your husband will teach you everything you know. So don’t feel shy or embarrassed. I love you like that."
