Logan cald himself as he looked at Briar, who was connected to the life support machines. He couldn’t go inside to look at her closely but looked at her through the mirror.

His heart ached, but when he thought about how he was the one who caused her to be in such a situation, Logan felt guilty. He didn’t deserve to see her right now. He didn’t take care of Raine like he promised.

He had a week to deal with her and yet he didn’t do much. He turned a blind eye and thought that since she was in a ntal hospital, then everything would be fine, but where did that get him?

He nearly lost his wife. He wasn’t even certain if she would make it out alive after all that. He lost the child they both didn’t even know existed. She was pregnant. She conceived around the ti they consummated the marriage.

To think that they even talked about the nas of the children just last night and spent the night making love to have babies, but now hours later, the baby was gone. The womb itself was gone. No more chances of getting pregnant again and it was all his fault.

He killed his child. How was he going to face Briar in the future?

Thinking about the future, and then that lunatic who dared stab his woman without any care in the world, Logan touched the mirror one last ti and promised in a whisper, "I will make sure that Raine and her family pay for this! I will do everything in my power this ti to get rid of any impending future trouble!"

After making that vow, he resolutely left. He was needed at the police station to listen to what Raine had to say.

When he got there, he was taken to the interrogation room Raine was currently locked in.

As soon as he stepped into the room, Raine looked at him and broke into hysterical laughter.

"Haha, Logan, have you ever thought that you would have a day like this as well?" she asked mockingly, her face contorting, seeing how furious Logan was.

She tilted her head playfully and her lips rose into a smirk as she asked, "Is that vixen alive or has she t her ancestors? Tche, who made her provoke repeatedly? You deserve it! If only you had seen and not picked such a peasant to be your wife!"

Logan clenched his fists as he listened to Raine uttering hurtful words without any care. Looking at her, he could tell that she had already given up on everything. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be so stupid to attack Briar in public like that.

"Why ..." he closed his eyes as he asked. "Why did you hurt her? Did you know that you ..... why did you kill my child?" his voice trembled as he asked that.

Won were vicious creatures. He knew that pretty well, but even if they were like that, they usually didn’t include children. Looking at how Briar was stabbed, Raine only targeted the stomach and didn’t even scar Briar’s face.

It was as if she knew that Briar was pregnant and targeted her.

When Raine heard the ’kill my child’ part, her eyes lit up as she broke into another hysterical laughter.

"Haha, why .... You are asking why? Wasn’t she just relying on the kids to be stuck with you? Now that her womb is useless, then is no longer a need to keep her. She is useless. A hen that can no longer lay any eggs. She is not suited for you. She was never was!"

"You ... what grievances does she have with you? Instead of hating , why did you have to target her? That’s two lives we are talking about?"

"Huh! So, her life matters, but mine doesn’t? When she frad repeatedly and made look like a fucking villain. Where were you?

When I laid out the evidence of her promiscuous behavior, you made an idiot but do you know that all I said was true? That bitch is fucking lying to you! She shalessly dangled herself in front of and daunted repeatedly. She was literally begging for it. So, I gave it to her! And you are blaming !" Raine felt wronged, to be honest.

She didn’t have any good intentions. That wasn’t a lie, but if Briar hadn’t provoked her when they first t and frad her, she would have perhaps wouldn’t have made such drastic moves.

She dedicatedly investigated and gathered a lot of evidence, and yet it seed that Briar had been prepared a very long ti ago.

She realized that just seconds before she rushed to stab her. That kind of person was truly terrifying. Every single sche she ca up with, Briar, as if she was a seer, had already produced a counterattack. Otherwise, Logan would have believed her.

Even if the results were true, because of Briar’s earlier preparations, Raine beca a joke. When she recalled how that bitch daunted her even when she was ..... Raine’s eyes reddened.

Since she was destined to fail and with only one outco, she might as well irritate Logan to the very end.

Briar should be waiting for death or perhaps fighting for it, considering how tenacious she was at the mont, but as for how long she would do so, that ... she didn’t know and probably wouldn’t care. Either way, she managed to take sothing from Briar that she loved so much. So that was a win for her, at least.

Through Raine’s daunting, the police were able to collect the confession that they wanted so badly, but at the sa felt sorry for Logan, who didn’t get an apology but was daunted instead.

Before Logan left the interrogation, he whispered into Raine’s ears, "I am going to make sure that you get tornted so badly that you would wish that you were dead. Since your mind is considered out of place, I would make sure you are sent to a good psychiatric hospital. You will not die lest I want you to. And oh ... I have been showing rcy to your family, but since they love to indulge you so much, I will make sure that their fate is worse than yours. Just look forward to receiving good news every single day!

You took away from what I cherish the most and I will take several folds of yours. Just watch !"

After saying that, Logan left without looking back and Raine scread hysterically, calling for Logan, "You co back for ! Don’t you dare, Logan!"

Unfortunately, no one ca to her at all. She could only scream until her voice beca hoarse, while remorse washed over her.

Unfortunately, it was too late for her to regret it now.
