"Hahaha, crazy b****! Do you know how many people I have killed? How dare you threaten for so asly money?" a disheveled man hysterically yelled as he tore the clothes that he had just stripped off his body, not embarrassed for a second about how naked he looked to those watching.

"What the heck is he saying?"

"Just call the police. I think that he might be a killer!"

"What’s going on with him?"

Those watching from a distance couldn’t help but chatter amongst themselves, watching the naked man making a fool of himself.

It was at this mont that Logan and Raine arrived and finally saw the person who was causing a ruckus and uttering nonsense.

’Is he crazy by any chance?’ Raine wondered as she took a closer look at the man whose junk was dangling in public.

A bout of nausea washed over her, and she felt like retching for a second. However, when she finally saw the man’s face, after he lifted his head, still yelling, "I killed him! I did it! B**** don’t let find you. I will slaughter your family and ...."

Raine staggered backwards as she shockingly uttered, "No! It can’t be! What is he doing? How co it’s him? What’s going on?" disbelief in her tone as she looked at the other.

It was at that mont that Logan noticed that there was sothing wrong with Raine. He looked at her with scrutiny, wondering what kind of drugs she was on, but when he heard her muttering, "How co he is acting mad all of a sudden?" his eyes flashed as he looked at the man who was spitting nonsense and being watched by so many people and his gaze darkened.

He didn’t need to ask Raine to know who that man was. Her shock had sold her out. That crazy man, running around and spilling beans which could send him to prison, was none other than the man they were supposed to et.

If he was crazy like that, then what guarantees that what he said was the truth?

Who knows which words of his were real and which weren’t?

Logan couldn’t help but snicker as he looked at Raine and coldly said, "Raine, you better make yourself disappear by the end of tonight, otherwise...." And drawled his words as he turned away.

He didn’t have ti to watch such nonsense.

Logan decisively left the scene and left Raine pulling her hair in frustration as she looked at Moses, who was going crazy in the park.

She didn’t know how long she stood there, but the police ca and caught him. His mouth never stopped talking in the process. While being taken to the police car, he broke away from them and fled to the road where ....

Bang.

Boom.

Moses got hit by a speeding car, flew several ters from the point of impact and fell on the sa road where his head cracked, bones crushed and lay on the road in an unidentifiable shape.

Raine, who wasn’t expecting to see such a scene unexpectedly, rolled her eyes and fainted straight on the scene.

****

Logan never expected that in a single day, he would hear news about two people going insane.

It still felt like a dream as he sat in his study, Wellington sitting across from him.

"Man, I saw the video. It was just too ssy and tragic!" Wellington exaggeratedly shivered as he talked about what happened to Moses, who unfortunately got hit and killed by a car so unexpectedly like that.

To think that Raine not only fainted but also went insane, blabbering nonsense after waking up in the hospital. Logan still couldn’t believe it.

At that mont, he was grateful that he didn’t doubt Briar for a second. If he did and confronted her by any chance, then it would be him losing face.

They always said that when rabbits are cornered, they also bite. What if she had given up on him after all that fiasco? What would he do?

Thankfully, she wasn’t in the city but back ho with family during this period, otherwise, things would have gotten worse.

"Logan, what do you plan to do?"

Logan looked at his friend and rolled his eyes. "It’s not like I am the one who made her go insane. Her family should be picking her up or sending her to the hospital at any ti from now on. I will stay away from that vicious woman!"

Wellington’s lips curled upward when he heard that and applauded Logan. "Good. doesn’t always push the little wife’s buttons just because she is soft!"

"I know. Don’t worry, I won’t do anything that will make her leave."

"I hope so."

The two friends discussed a few things before Wellington left. after he left, Logan received a call from his mother, who inford him that she got a call from Raine’s family and they were coming to the country to pick her up.

Since her insanity had nothing to do with Logan, there wasn’t any conflict between the two families.

[When is Briar returning ho?]

"Tomorrow. I will go and pick her up!"

[That’s good. Rember to not let anything slip. We wouldn’t want her getting depressed over such matters!] his mother’s stern voice rang in his ears and Logan clenched his jaws as he thought of the troubleso Raine.

"Don’t worry, mother. Nothing will happen to her."

[I pray for the sa as well.]

After the call with his mother, Logan stood on his feet and walked towards the window where he stood, looking at the beautiful view of the garden.

’I miss her!’ he sighed wryly as he thought of that sweet young wife of his who always knew how to please him and his family.

It would be great if ti could be fast-forwarded. That way, he would be seeing her early.

Thinking about eting her tomorrow, he fished his phone out of his pocket, swiped the screen to unlock before going to the contacts.

With a quick scroll, he found her contact and hesitated for a bit before he dialed the number, anticipation written all over his face.

[Hello~] her voice sounded from the other side of the phone and a smile blossod on his face.

It really felt great hearing her voice finally.
