Briar had confusion written all over her face as she listened to that.
"Then how do I interpret the dreams?" she asked curiously, eager to know more.
After all, this knowledge might co in handy in the future and help her a lot.
"To make things easy for you, we will talk about this from your perspective. That way, you can quickly understand what we are trying to say.
Nowadays, things have changed, so it is advisable that if you have a dream, jot it down so that you can rember it. If you have an eidetic mory, then good for you. You can simply recall it vividly.
With the dream committed to mory, you can analyze the emotions. You must pay attention to what you feel in that dream, as these feelings provide important clues about the underlying anings.
If there are any symbols seen in that dream, don’t forget them. You need to identify key objects, people and settings in the dream and think about what they might an to you as the drear.
With all that in hand, start to consider your current living situation and see if they could relate anyhow to what you are dreaming about. Check if there are any recent conflicts or important life events. That would matter in deciphering the aning greatly."
Briar’s mouth opened in awe as she listened to that. Honestly, she wasn’t much of a drear. At least dreaming about anything that gets her confused. With her mind full of Logan and his family, how could she dream about anything else?
Besides, there was a saying that you dream about what you think about the whole day. How could she have ti for other things?
"So, how do I know what this dream ans after doing all that?" she asked eagerly, finding the lesson getting more interesting.
She could foresee how interesting so interpretations would be by the sound of it.
"There are a lot of common dreams that individuals usually have and we will do our best to talk about those alongside others. For those we can’t cover, in the future, we will help you decipher them. We aren’t going anywhere just yet!"
Briar was happy to hear that. She hurriedly urged the ancestors to continue with the lesson.
"Let’s say that you have a dream of yourself falling. What do you think it ans?"
Briar was dumbfounded at being thrown such a question.
She pursed her lips and hesitatingly answered, "Um, bad luck?"
The ancestors rolled their eyes at her, obviously dissatisfied with her answer. She could only smile wryly, thinking to herself why they were even bothering to ask her in the first place.
In the end, the ancestors who could hear her thoughts nearly fud as they looked at her but suppressed their fury and continued with the lesson lest they end up kicking her out of the dreamscape without learning anything.
"When a drear flies in the dream. That can be interpreted in the following ways. The drear perhaps has so sense of lack of control in life or a particular situation.
When it cos to flying, represents freedom, liberation or the need to escape your current situation.
Of course, you must take into account that not all dreams are realistic and the aning of each dream differs depending on the current situation the drear is in. Which is why you must always check for any pointers, the symbols and the other things we talked about previously.
Depending on the current situation, the interpretation of the dream would differ. You will see that as ti goes on."
Briar nodded her head in agreent as she listened to that. After all, a person might dream of being pregnant. And if that person is a man, does it an that he would get pregnant or his female partner would do so?
It might not an that at all, but perhaps a chance of a new life, or a Chapter in life.
And Briar was busy learning all that with earnestness.
While she does so, Mammy Adonai, who couldn’t disturb Briar at that mont, is busy dealing with the matter of the cow.
Briar was her darling and from years ago, she started preparing a lot of things, including her marriage waist beads which she continued asking for blessings despite knowing that Briar’s fate when it cos to that was cut because of what happened over twelve years ago. But she couldn’t help but give it a try.
However, after seeing her, she knew that they were dood to fail, but at least, the failure would bring a positive result which would set Briar for life.
It would be a aningful sacrifice.
As the godmother and spiritual mother of Briar, hoping that one day she would walk in the sa path as her, Mammy Adonai kept a few cows in the kraal suitable for events like these.
She owned a lot of cattle to be honest, and there were five black and white cows which others would assu to be for dairy purposes.
These were the kinds of cows to be slaughtered during these kinds of events. In their line of work, there was no such thing called black or white. They could be found on any side at any ti. Keeping such an animal hide was more of a reminder, and being in a good mood, she planned to slaughter two cows to celebrate.
At the sa ti, the girls were busy going all over the village informing and inviting the villagers to the ceremony on Saturday night, though certain individuals would need to co early in the morning to help with the preparations.
The villagers were very happy to be invited and work. After all, that was free food, and at the end of the night, they might return ho with food to eat in the days to co.
Benjamin, as the brother of Briar, had his own duties, and he was one of the people who would be slaughtering the cows and leading during the ceremony.
Since he was new to that, he was forced to spend ti with the village elders with more knowledge regarding the matters, while Briar remained in seclusion, her fate completely unknown.
