"What do you plan to do with him?" he couldn’t help but ask.

There was no way a yer would leave a person who dared to play such tricks on him or her alone. They were vengeful. Logan was the best example.

There was a glint of slyness in her eyes as her mouth curled upward into a smirk after hearing such a question, but she didn’t give the n the answers that they needed but an assurance. "I will make him suffer and regret!"

When Donald heard that, he thought it was expected.

"Have you told your brother yet?"

When she heard that question, Alice’s eyes quivered as dread befall on her and when the n saw that, they knew the answer right away.

It was going to be a long battle; they could foresee it already.

Alice, now that she heard this question, thought of how she had butted heads with her brother and parents because of Tim. Her brother literally washed his hands off her matter. If she dared tell Logan, she didn’t know how he would react. She couldn’t risk it.

She was grateful at that mont that Briar didn’t use this material and told her brother. The consequences would have been dire.

Seeing that Alice’s complexion didn’t look well, Donald couldn’t help but say a few words of comfort.

"Your brother isn’t a scary person. If you can’t deal with your fiancé, then it’s better to seek his help or soone else who could. Ruining a person is sothing that can be easily done in just re seconds. You don’t need to wrong yourself for soone who is that unworthy."

When Alice heard that, she nearly sniffed, feeling touched by Donald’s comforting words. Indeed, if she couldn’t deal with it, she might let her brother help her even if she would be forced to suffer his wrath. Or she could just let Briar help her. She should have had several ideas she hadn’t used yet, right?

Was that even right for her to think like that?

Anyway, she thanked Donald for such insightful words before she excused herself. She needed to think.

Once she was gone, Donald was left with his friends, who were looking at him strangely.

"What is it?" he asked dumbfoundedly, seeing their accusatory gazes.

"Man, what’s with you and her?"

"What do you an by that?" Donald asked speechlessly. What were these people even thinking about?

The other friend scoffed as he placed his glass on the table and said, "With the way you were so caring, you looked like soone consoling a lover."

When Donald heard that, he glared at his friend, wondering where he found such thoughts.

"Why would I think of her like that? I haven’t seen the lass in years and rember, she is Logan’s little sister."

"So, what if she is his sister? She is quite a catch. It’s such a pity that she is involved with such a man!"

Donald clicked his tongue as he thought of how frustrated and heartbroken she was.

"I have no such thoughts about her. Rember, it’s been just over a year since the divorce!"

"Hehe, it’s been over a year but four years since you guys separated. Don’t tell you are still harboring thoughts for her?"

Donald felt his temples throbbing when he thought about her, but it couldn’t be helped. He loved her so much. They might have divorced, but the feelings still remained. What could he do?

His friends, seeing that, didn’t continue talking about his divorce but returned to Alice’s issue.

"How about interfering a bit? Logan will be thankful if he knew that bastard learnt a lesson!" another friend suggested.

"Didn’t she say that she would avenge herself?"

"Won are easily deceived. What if she got fooled? It won’t hurt giving a hand on the side."

The friends began to plan and sche how to take down Tim, who was currently inside Alice’s apartnt filled with their pictures all over.

The apartnt was filled with their mories. With a glance, anyone could tell how much she loved him. Even the passcode of the door was their anniversary. No matter how much he wanted to forget the day, he couldn’t, as every ti he ca here and even at his house, he would need to punch in the day.

Being in this place made him feel at ease. She was just throwing a tantrum, and as long as he coaxed her well, she would be back to normal again.

Unfortunately, he was dood to be disappointed as he didn’t see her shadow at the apartnt that night.

He went to sleep angrily and left the next morning in a bad mood.

As if that wasn’t enough, soone emailed him anonymously and threatened him.

When he thought of how that email might ruin him if the contents were seen by Alice, his fury increased.

As he drove away from the apartnt, he prayed sincerely that Alice or her family mbers hadn’t received that yet.

He might not be afraid of Alice, but her brother was soone he didn’t dare face head-on.

When he thought of the threats, his brows furrowed as he regretted giving an enemy a chance to attack.

’Don’t let find you! Once I do, I will make you regret targeting !’ he swore furiously as he drove back ho.

At the office, Alice smiled smugly as she watched her secretary leaving the office.

When she thought of how Tim’s efforts beca futile despite all the preparations, she couldn’t help but rejoice.

After she left the club, she switched on her phone and saw nurous ssages from Tim. The shaless man was following the sa trick he had used a dozen tis in the period that they had been together.

As if that wasn’t enough, he dared to prepare a al. Didn’t he know how disgusting his food was? It was unpalatable. The man didn’t have any talent in the kitchen. She had been a soldier to eat his food all this ti. Love, at tis, makes people blind and fools. That’s who she was before she got enlightened.

When she saw through the CCTV recordings that were sent to her phone since she installed small caras in her apartnt several months ago because of sleepwalking. She laughed mockingly when she saw how half-hearted the man was when preparing the food.

He even prepared a candle-lit dinner and when she didn’t co, he cussed her badly. She had no idea that the man’s mouth was that foul. Seeing him cussing her behind her back, she couldn’t help but wonder how many tis he had cussed at her before.

To think that in front of her, he was very obedient and the most loving and yet behind her back; he was like that. She mocked herself for being an idiot.

She was very thankful that she was against Briar at this mont. Without that, how could Briar seek for black materials to use against her?

Because of their conflicts and reconciling, she managed to know what Tim was doing behind her back. Tim wasn’t a man who should be kept. He was the kind of man who would make her insane and send her to the asylum, bring ho a mistress and spend her money as he owned it.

She had thought about the matter yesterday about reporting it to her brother, but then when she heard her brother talking about his plans with Briar; she shut her mouth. She didn’t want to disrupt her brother’s happiness.

Since he planned to make it up to Briar, she wasn’t going to be the devil who would bring up a matter that would remind him of Selena and her cheating.

If she told Logan, what if he traces the matter back to Briar? What would she do?

Although she was pretty certain that in her family, she was the only one who knew of Briar’s being two-faced; she was still better compared to other people out there. At least her two-facedness had never brought any harm to the family.

Above all, she loved her brother. If the next matriarch is a pushover, the family would crumble. So having Briar, who was ruthless to her enemies but had lots of love for her family mbers, was a better option.

So, what if she wasn’t who she portrayed?

She wasn’t going to make Briar lose what she wanted the most by letting her brother know.

After coming to such a conclusion, she discussed it with her secretary, who had made a grand plan already. And the first step of the plan was the threatening email sent to Tim earlier.

When she saw how furious he was, Alice was very happy.

She was going to taunt him like this and vent her anger. And it would be the best if she could suck his money dry. She still needed to earn what she gave him. Ditching him without getting sothing wouldn’t be fair.

’Just wait for , darling. It’s going to be a rollercoaster!’ she smirked as she thought of what the future holds for him.
