Capítulo 822: Chapter 823: What Matters Most Is Whether I Believe It or Not

“Why don’t you want to go to Era Restaurant after all?”

Qin Sijue, who was driving, turned slightly to glance at her, “Nothing much, just don’t like the taste there.”

“Is that really the case?”

“Yes.”

“Are you hiding sothing from ?”

“No.”

The car fell silent all of a sudden. Sensing sothing amiss, Qin Sijue furrowed his brow slightly and turned to look at his wife.

Is she angry?

It seed that ever since she got pregnant, she beca more and more sensitive.

Eventually, Qin Sijue compromised, “I just don’t really want to have anything to do with that Ling Xi.”

He always kept his personal and professional lives separate. Since he rembered that Ling Xi had once saved his life, when he saw her being bullied by that profligate in the restaurant, he intervened. What he didn’t expect was for Huo Yishan to bring it up later.

Although he knew she was joking, after that encounter, he indeed noticed the admiring looks Ling Xi gave him.

To clear the association, that’s why he didn’t want to go to Era Restaurant and didn’t want to be rumored to be involved with any woman.

Since that rumor last ti, he realized how harmful it could be. If one day Gu Qiangwei believed it, who would he seek to prove his innocence? Therefore, he avoided anything that might cause suspicion as much as possible.

Hearing this, Gu Qiangwei, who had pretended to be angry, was taken aback for a mont, turning her head to look at the man driving.

So, he said he didn’t want to go to Era Restaurant because of Ling Xi? Why? Could it be because of the joke Yishan made last ti?

“Because of the joke Yishan made?”

Qin Sijue didn’t make a sound.

Jokes were just jokes, but the real reason he didn’t want to go was because of the admiration hidden in Ling Xi’s eyes.

“Yishan was just joking, did you take it seriously?” Gu Qiangwei chuckled as she looked at him, surprised that he beca so cautious because of that joke.

However, thinking about his reason for not wanting to go ward her heart.

“Besides, no matter how flamboyant others are, what matters most is whether I believe them or not, right?”

Qin Sijue turned his head, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, and he couldn’t help but lift his right hand, reaching over to the passenger seat to pat her head.

His voice was low and magnetic, “Of course, the whole world is nothing compared to you.”

Looking at his handso profile, Gu Qiangwei also smiled.

Trust is about each other. Those who are true to you won’t abandon you because of a ‘rumor’.

Minutes later, the luxurious and eye-catching car stopped in front of an Italian restaurant, imdiately drawing many envious gazes.

After parking the car, Qin Sijue led her into the restaurant and they chose a private room to sit down.

“I want to go to the washroom.”

While waiting for their al, Gu Qiangwei felt the need to visit the washroom again; lately, she felt like she had to run to the toilet several tis a day.

The next second, Qin Sijue stood up, accompanying her to the washroom.

When they returned, the steak had just been served.

The lunch ended at 1:15 p.m.

“Let’s go!”

After a brief rest, Gu Qiangwei stood up, and just as she did, she felt the two little ones in her belly playing inside, ceaselessly waving their tiny fists against her abdon.

“Ah.”

Looking down, seeing a big bulge suddenly rise under her clothes on her stomach, Gu Qiangwei cried out in alarm.

“What’s wrong?”

Qin Sijue stood on the other side of the table, about to co over when he heard her cry of surprise.

“My stomach… it bulged out.” Gu Qiangwei curiously watched the scene, as it was the first ti she had witnessed such ‘fetal movent,’ and she was inevitably startled.
