Chapter 706: Chapter 707: Full Moon Celebration (1)

“You don’t need to walk

out; I can drive myself to Grandma’s house.”

Gu Qiangwei said as she exited the elevator.

She knew he had social engagents, so she didn’t want to hold him up.

Plus, she had co by car herself.

“It’s fine, I’ve got plenty of ti,” he said, turning his head toward her with a slight lift of the corners of his lips, his eyes filled with indulgence.

He glanced at his watch and saw that he still had a half-hour before his eting with Mrs. Kayla.

He took out his mobile phone and called Luo Chen.

“Delay the eting ti with Mrs. Kayla to 7 o’clock.”

After speaking, he didn’t wait for Luo Chen’s response before hanging up the phone.

Luo Chen, who was arranging the eting ti, was left holding the phone, frozen for a while.

Are all rich people so capricious? Especially those with money, power, and influence!

Looking at the phone, Luo Chen let out a long sigh and then looked up at Mrs. Kayla, who was about to leave her hotel room.

With a sincere apology, he said, “I’m sorry, Mrs. Kayla, our Mr. Qin has encountered a traffic accident on the way here and is currently stuck in traffic. The eting might be delayed until 7 p.m.”

Upon hearing this, the blonde woman paused, but she didn’t doubt his word.

After all, she wasn’t familiar with Jingcheng, but she could sense its elegance and prosperity.

And Luo Chen could only use this excuse to change the eting ti, otherwise the opportunity to et Mrs. Kayla might slip away.

Back here, watching him hang up the phone, Gu Qiangwei was slightly stunned.

Was it appropriate for him to purposely change the eting to 7 o’clock just to take her to the Commander Residence?

Even though she felt there was no need for him to go out of his way to take her to the Commander Residence, she also knew that once Qin Sijue made a decision, it was hard to change his mind. So she didn’t bother to waste her breath arguing.

After the two left the company, at 6:10 p.m., Qin Sijue had delivered Gu Qiangwei to the Commander Residence.

He was just about to leave without entering the house when he heard Zhuang Yanyan’s voice ring out.

“Jue, don’t forget to clear your schedule for Yiyi’s full moon celebration tomorrow,” she said.

Hearing this, Qin Sijue paused inside the car. He nearly forgot if she hadn’t ntioned it.

“Got it.”

After responding, he got straight into his car.

As his car drove away, Zhuang Yanyan then helped Gu Qiangwei into the house.

Gu Qiangwei was startled by the attention from her elder, feeling both honored and surprised.

She gave an awkward smile, “Grandma, you don’t need to help

walk, I’m all right now.”

Zhuang Yanyan of course knew what she was thinking, and said with a smile, “Don’t be polite with Grandma. Pregnancy is extrely critical; a single bump can be very dangerous!”

Since she insisted, Gu Qiangwei had nothing else to say and entered the living room with her.

The dinner had been prepared early, but the vast dining room was just the two of them.

“Where’s Grandpa?”

After so ti, Gu Qiangwei could faintly feel that there was no longer any distance between her and Qin Guozhong and that he seed to have fully accepted her as his granddaughter-in-law!

“He’s gone to your grandpa’s ‘decisive battle’; they’re dining at your house tonight,” Zhuang Yanyan replied with a laugh while also not forgetting to serve Gu Qiangwei more food.

Gu Qiangwei of course knew that the ‘her house’ ntioned was referring to her maternal family’s Nangong Villa.

“Oh.”

“Co on, eat so more.”

“Thank you, Grandma.”

“If you really want to thank Grandma, give her a healthy, chubby little boy!” Although she already had a great-grandson, Zhuang Yanyan knew she didn’t have much ti left, and her only wish was to see both her grandsons settle down and lead happy families during her lifeti.
