Chapter 699: Chapter 700 Who Ordered the Clay Pot Noodles?

But ever since Ling Xi arrived, they would occasionally ask her to run errands.

In their eyes, Ling Xi wasn’t a graduate from a prestigious university, nor did she enter on her own rits; instead, she was here through ‘backdoor’ connections. Therefore, in their view, she was nothing but a little maid suitable only for running around!

As soon as Luo Chen entered the door, he saw a group of female employees gathered in threes and fives at the office desks, his brows involuntarily furrowing.

Imdiately, he raised his hand and knocked on the glass door of the finance departnt.

“Knock, knock, knock.”

The crisp sound resounded, causing the female employees waiting in the office for Ling Xi’s lunch to turn their heads one after another.

When they saw Luo Chen appear in the finance departnt, their eyes widened as if about to pop out of their sockets in astonishnt!

“My god, it’s Assistant Luo!”

Everyone at Dijue knew Luo Chen was Qin Sijue’s most capable assistant, even more powerful than a director!

Upon seeing him, so of the female employees imdiately fluttered over like butterflies to a flower, flocking towards him eagerly!

“Assistant Luo, what brings you here? Please, co in and sit down!”

One after another, their faces curried favor and admiration as they approached.

Yet Luo Chen’s face remained stern from beginning to end, his deep gaze sweeping over the crowd, “Who ordered the clay pot noodles?”

The sudden question made everyone lose their smiles, uncertain whether this was a blessing or a curse.

In fact, they were all aware that such bullying behavior was prohibited in the company.

“Not speaking?”

With a cold face, Luo Chen asked again.

In the end, it was a team leader from the finance departnt who stepped forward, tentatively inquiring, “Assistant Luo, what’s the matter? The… clay pot noodles were ordered by us. Since we heard Ling Xi was going to buy them, we just asked her to pick up a portion for us too.”

After speaking, she looked at Ling Xi and asked with a smile, “Right, Ling Xi?”

Her tone seed amiable, but the fierce glint in her eyes was like a warning to Ling Xi.

Luo Chen turned his head and looked at Ling Xi, “Is that so?”

Ling Xi glanced at Luo Chen, opened her mouth to explain, but then t the finance departnt team leader’s threatening gaze and warning.

“I…”

She hesitated, suddenly falling into contemplation.

Perhaps this ti Qin Sijue stood up for her, and nobody would dare to make her run errands in the future, right?

After all, Qin Sijue was the big BOSS of the Dijue Group!

With this thought, Ling Xi looked up, “No, they told

to run errands!”

At her words, the expressions of those female employees imdiately changed.

“Ling Xi! You—”

“This month’s bonus is completely docked. Dare to repeat, and face imdiate dismissal!”

So wanted to speak out, but upon hearing Luo Chen’s words, they beca as quiet as cicadas in winter!

They knew how many people dread of working in Dizun, a prominent company they had struggled to join; they weren’t willing to leave it so easily.

Glaring bitterly at Ling Xi, they could only admit their mistake in the end.

Bowing their heads they said, “Yes, Assistant Luo.”

Having said their piece, they each turned and returned to their desks, picked up their work badges, and left the finance departnt to dine in the employee cafeteria.

After settling this matter, Luo Chen glanced at Ling Xi and also prepared to leave.

Just then, a ‘gurgle—’ sound ca.

His brows furrowed tightly as he stopped in his tracks and turned around, staring at Ling Xi with a puzzled expression.

Ling Xi looked up, her stomach empty and hungry…

“Um, could you lend

twenty yuan…”

Here, she had no friends, no family; the only people she could count as acquaintances were Qin Sijue and his assistant.
