Chapter 542: Chapter 543: Tang Yuyan’s Fury

Tang Yuyan remained silent; instead, she raised her eyes, and her cool, indifferent gaze landed directly on Nangong Feifei’s face.

Facing her suddenly cold look, Nangong Feifei felt a surge of fear, but managed to keep herself composed, showing no ripples of emotion.

Her eyes seed to harbor suspicion towards her.

"Why are you looking at ?"

In an effort to hide her guilt, Nangong Feifei t Tang Yuyan’s gaze and took the initiative to speak.

Tang Yuyan stepped forward, her black eyes void of warmth, "Was it you who made Axiu go into the water, or did she go in by herself?"

Her sudden question made Nangong Feifei feel even more guilty.

Even a bit angry and embarrassed, "What do you an by that!?"

Nangong He, standing to the side, also felt that Tang Yuyan was acting out of sorts, "Yes, Yuyan, what do you an by this?"

Tang Yuyan didn’t look at Nangong He; her eyes, cold and sharp, remained fixed on Nangong Feifei.

"The items Axiu received, did you take them away?"

Nangong Feifei’s face turned pale for a mont, but she feigned composure, "What items? What on earth are you talking about—"

"You know exactly what I’m talking about!" Tang Yuyan cut her off mid-sentence and shouted loudly!

This shout not only surprised the servants but even Nangong He and Nangong Feifei changed their expressions in disbelief.

Because Tang Yuyan has always been perceived as noble and gentle, like soone who never loses her temper, and at least in this household, the servants had never seen her angry, let alone shouting like today.

If they hadn’t seen it with their own eyes, the servants wouldn’t have believed that Tang Yuyan could raise her voice like that.

"Yuyan, what’s wrong with you today?"

Nangong He, who was standing beside her, clearly felt sothing was off, but despite probing, she didn’t say anything.

"I don’t understand what you are on about!" Nangong Feifei retorted with righteous indignation.

Tang Yuyan cald down, but her piercing gaze on Nangong Feifei did not waver in the slightest.

She squeezed out word by word through clenched teeth, "However Axiu died, I will get to the bottom of it. If this matter is related to you, I will personally make sure you are sent to prison!"

After her declaration, she turned around and walked toward the main gate.

She was almost certain that if the investigation results had indeed been taken by Nangong Feifei, they must have been destroyed by now.

The only way to know the truth now was to find that private detective!

But why would Feifei want to kill Axiu and take away the investigation results?

The only deduction was about the contents of the investigation results.

If the assumption was that she was indeed Tang Xinruo from those years ago, then Qiangwei was her child. Given Feifei’s jealousy of Qiangwei, she certainly would not let the incident co to light, thus killing soone and destroying all the evidence...

With these thoughts, Tang Yuyan’s heart ached, like it was being cut out with a knife, and she was almost certain that she was Tang Xinruo and Qiangwei—was she her child?

At the crossroads, Tang Yuyan’s heart was wracked with pain, so much so that she didn’t even notice the red light and slumped over the steering wheel, sobbing uncontrollably.

"Beep! Beep beep—"

From behind, a series of honking sounds rang out. Tang Yuyan raised her head, her cheeks already streaked with tears, and when she arrived at the hospital, she even felt too weak to stand and squatted on the ground.

She couldn’t rember what happened to her ten years ago, but the girl in her dreams, the little girl who called her "mommy," had to be Qiangwei, it had to be...
