“Yes, I was about to go upstairs to call you, but madam didn’t allow it.” After dinner, Mom Xu even saved so food for her, but Chen Peifang discovered it and dumped it all into the trash!
Hearing Mom Xu’s words, Gu Qiangwei clenched her hands hanging by her sides.

“I’ll go make you a fresh al.” Seeing her, Mom Xu said and turned to enter the kitchen.
Gu Qiangwei was indeed hungry, having been chased by soone earlier and had exhausted all her energy!
Twenty minutes later, fearing she was too hungry, Mom Xu quickly made a few dishes, which Gu Qiangwei ate quite contentedly!
After eating, it was past eight o’clock. She went upstairs, took a shower, and read until ten o’clock before she gradually felt sleepy.
Putting down the book, just as she was about to sleep, she suddenly rembered sothing and sat up abruptly!
Strange, she had been back for half the day, so why hadn’t she seen ngqi?
At that thought, Gu Qiangwei’s sleepiness vanished in an instant. She threw back the covers and got out of bed, intending to look for ngqi.
ngqi was a Golden Retriever she had once rescued and had been with her for two years!
“ngqi?”
She went downstairs and ca to ngqi’s little house, only to see him lying there, looking lethargic.
Sick?
Reaching out to touch ngqi’s body, he whimpered softly at her and then lay back down.
“What’s wrong with you?” In two years, she had never seen ngqi like this before.
He had regular check-ups every month and had always been healthy, so why had he suddenly beco like this?
Glancing at the ti, it was after ten o’clock, and the veterinary clinic was definitely closed now.
“ngqi, I’ll take you to see the doctor tomorrow.” Concerned about him, she stood up and lifted his large body in her arms.
“Tonight, you’ll sleep with !”
Although a bit heavy, Gu Qiangwei couldn’t bear to leave the sick ngqi alone to sleep downstairs.
When she got to the bedroom, Gu Qiangwei laid a thin blanket on a single sofa and then placed ngqi on it. “Good night!”
She lay back down in bed, turned off the main light, and left only a small bedside lamp on.
Since her mother had left, she had gotten used to sleeping only with a light on.
As she drifted into a drowsy state, Gu Qiangwei suddenly heard the sound of the doorknob being turned, a noise that also woke ngqi, who was sleeping in the armchair. He suddenly stood up, staring intently at the direction of the door.
The next second, under the dim light, Gu Qiangwei looked up to see the door suddenly being pushed open.
“Who’s there!?”
Although she was in her own ho, in the middle of the night, Gu Qiangwei still got on her guard! She stared intently at the shadow walking in.
Then, she slled a strong scent of alcohol hitting her nostrils!
Under the light, the silhouette beca more and more familiar until it reached her bed in an instant!
“Gu Shijie!?”
In bed, Gu Qiangwei sat up in alarm. Before she could react further, Gu Shijie suddenly collapsed on top of her, pinning her entirely beneath him!
“What are you doing!? Let go of !”
“Gu Qiangwei, I’ve liked you for a long ti, did you know?” Slurring slightly, Gu Shijie spoke.
