Gu Qiangwei was startled upon hearing that, and lowered her head to check out the injury, “How could you be so careless? Is it serious?”
“It’s nothing!” Huo Yishan seed completely unconcerned and glanced at Li Yuan, “He said a week of rest should do the trick!”
Then, she took a quick look and saw that Gu Qiangwei was holding a bag, seemingly ready to go out with Qin Sijue.
“You’re going out?”
Looking at her, Gu Qiangwei smiled, “Yeah, to a place called Dragon Phoenix Mansion.”
“For fun?”
From the na alone, Huo Yishan knew it was a recreational resort.
Gu Qiangwei frowned slightly, then raised her eyes again, “Kind of!”
“Then I’m coming too!” Huo Yishan was excited, glad for a rare chance to rest due to the injury.
Yet, Gu Qiangwei was worried about the injury to her wrist, “Are you sure your injury is okay?”
However, before Huo Yishan could speak up, Li Yuan at her side interrupted, “It’s fine, I’m here, and I’ll go too!”
Both turned their gazes to Li Yuan simultaneously.
Gu Qiangwei actually had no complaints. Although they were going to learn so self-defense techniques, they would probably have so fun eating and drinking as well, and having more people would make it rrier.
But when Qin Sijue, coming downstairs, heard that Huo Yishan and Li Yuan were also going, a slight frown ford between his brows.

Gazing into the distance, Qin Sijue slightly turned his head to et her deep black eyes, “Didn’t you want to learn self-defense techniques?”
Caught off guard, Gu Qiangwei nodded, “Yes, but…” her gaze flicked to the shooting range, “does this have to do with self-defense techniques?”
She had thought the self-defense techniques she referred to were just so simple moves, like holds and shoulder throws.
Qin Sijue’s lips were pressed together thinly, a coldness flashing in his eyes, “If you are going to defend, then naturally, you must also learn to attack.”
Attack?
He couldn’t possibly be planning to teach her how to use a gun, could he?
“You…”
“Let’s go!”
Before she could finish her sentence, he led her into the shooting range.
After putting on safety equipnt like goggles and earmuffs, Gu Qiangwei awkwardly aid at a target not too far away.
It was her first ti holding a gun, which felt sowhat heavy.
“Like this?”
Holding the black handgun, she asked Qin Sijue beside her.
“Hold your hand higher, aim like this…” He moved behind her, took hold of her hand, and personally taught her to shoot, “Pretend that the target ahead is Nangong Feifei.”
Gu Qiangwei paused, turning to glance at the handso face of the man.
Did he, deep down, also care greatly about that child?
Thinking of Nangong Feifei, and the baby she hadn’t yet had the chance to confirm, Gu Qiangwei’s grip on the handgun involuntarily tightened.
The next mont, she indeed envisioned the target as Nangong Feifei, and under Qin Sijue’s guidance, a bullet flew out, missing the bullseye.
“It’s okay, try again.”
His voice, soothing and deep like trickling water in a valley, sounded in her ear, his face so close she could clearly feel his warm breath on her cheek.
