Chapter 206: Chapter 206: She Pushed

Down!

Gu Qiangwei was driving when she suddenly heard her phone ringing from the bag on the passenger seat.

She glanced at it, but because she was driving, it was inconvenient to answer, so she didn’t pick up.

She planned to check who it was after reaching the downtown area.

However, listening to the continuously ringing phone that went unanswered, Qin Sijue was going mad!

After one missed call, he dialed again.

After two missed calls, he dialed a third ti, vowing not to stop until she answered.

...

Seeing the persistently ringing phone, Gu Qiangwei had no choice but to pull over and take the phone out of her bag.

Qin Sijue…

Seeing the familiar number, she quickly answered.

“Hello—”

“Gu Qiangwei! Are you trying to get yourself killed!?”

Before she could fully respond, Qin Sijue’s roaring voice ca through, deafening!

She quickly moved the phone away from her ear until his angry voice subsided, then she placed it back.

“I’m only twenty-two, I’m not thinking about dying so soon.”

Hearing her voice, Qin Sijue’s anxious and restless heart finally cald down.

But not seeing her in person, he still felt very uneasy.

“Where are you!?”

Continuing the call, Gu Qiangwei glanced outside the car window; she was almost at the downtown area now.

“I need to go to the hospital, I’m almost at the downtown area now.”

Qin Sijue frowned, his tone softened in the next second, “Why are you going to the hospital so late? Are you feeling unwell?”

“No, rember today I was filling in for soone else’s role? That person fell into the water and is now in the hospital.”

“What does that have to do with you? Why are you going there?”

Gu Qiangwei pursed her lips, “I don’t know why they need , but it was the police who asked

to go.”

Perhaps Mu Jiaqi’s fall wasn’t an accident, which is why the police were notified.

However, listening to her statent, Qin Sijue’s frown deepened.

Even if it wasn’t an accident, what was she, a re assistant, going to do there?

A feeling of unease spread, and Qin Sijue’s expression darkened, “Give

the address.”

“Why?”

“It’s too late, I’m worried about you coming back alone, I’ll co pick you up.”

“No need, I drove my car. What’s there to worry about?” Besides, the road leading to Jueyuan was his private property; could it be that soone was lurking there, waiting to ambush her?

“Do you think I would ask you to talk

out of doing what I need to do?” he retorted.

Gu Qiangwei pursed her lips; she really didn’t have that ability.

“Central Hospital.”

Unable to argue with him, she had to give the address.

Perhaps it was for the best that he ca; she always felt the police’s sudden summoning was a bit fishy.

She was just an assistant, and there were so many people at the film set then. Why did they specifically ask her to assist with the investigation? Furthermore, when Mu Jiaqi fell into the water, she had gone to the makeup room to get clothes and knew nothing about the incident.

Even if she were at the hospital now, under questioning, she would still be clueless.

She hoped it was just her overthinking, and perhaps the police really just wanted to understand the situation at that ti.

After hanging up, Gu Qiangwei restarted her car and soon arrived at the Central Hospital.

Mu Jiaqi held a special status, naturally staying in a VIP-exclusive ward.

However, as soon as she walked into the ward before she could even see who was inside clearly, she suddenly heard Mu Jiaqi’s vehent voice.

“It was her, she pushed

into the swimming pool!”

On the hospital bed, Mu Jiaqi pointed and angrily accused Gu Qiangwei!

Gu Qiangwei was completely stunned, not yet understanding what had happened.
