Chapter 204: Chapter 204 I am not a sack!

This whole way people were watching, yet he carried her out like she was a sack of potatoes. How embarrassing!

Ignoring her struggles, Qin Sijue simply hoisted her along, not setting her down until they reached the sports car.

However, before Gu Qiangwei could even co to her senses, she was stuffed into the passenger seat!

It wasn’t until he also got in that Gu Qiangwei finally glared at him with dissatisfaction!

“Can you not do this in the future?!”

“Do what?”

...

“Carry

around like this! I’m a person, not a sack of potatoes!” she puckered her lips in discontent.

Sitting in the driver’s seat, he suddenly leaned in close, “Do you still have the nerve to say that?”

Confronted with his dangerous dark eyes, Gu Qiangwei’s guilt resurfaced, as her flickering eyes dared not et his gaze directly.

“I–why shouldn’t I have the nerve to say that…”

“If you dare to lay your hands on any other man next ti, it won’t be as simple as ‘carrying’ you,” he said, his smile profound as he rested one hand on the back of her seat, his entire presence looming over her.

And there sat Gu Qiangwei, like prey waiting to be captured, with nowhere to run.

She timidly t the man’s dangerous eyes, “And what would that be?”

He drew closer, his handso nose nearly touching hers, “‘Instant justice’!”

Gu Qiangwei: “…”

“You’re being unreasonable!”

Having said that, she turned to the car window, deliberately avoiding his burning breath and his fiery gaze.

She knew exactly what he ant by ‘instant justice.’ It was difficult to imagine that if there was a next ti, under similar circumstances, he might actually do that sort of thing with her in front of everyone?

At the thought, she couldn’t help but swallow hard.

This man was too terrifying!

The black Bugatti tore through the bustling Jingcheng like a hurricane, passing through the downtown area, all the way to Jueyuan, perched halfway up the mountain, and ca to an abrupt halt at the gate.

Seeing the two return, Uncle Qin greeted them with respect.

“Young Master and Young Madam are back.”

By this ti, it was already 8:10 in the evening.

Because he had been waiting for her, even now, Qin Sijue hadn’t had dinner yet.

“You haven’t eaten yet?” Following him to the dining room, Gu Qiangwei only then noticed that a full table of food remained untouched.

She couldn’t help but raise her eyes in surprise to Qin Sijue, who had already taken his seat at the head of the table.

Qin Sijue’s eyes lifted, glancing at her, “Have you eaten?”

Gu Qiangwei was stunned for two seconds before nodding, “Mm.”

Knowing that she would have to work overti, she had already eaten a takeout box at the set at 5:30 PM.

Looking at the man opposite her, he couldn’t have been waiting for her all this ti without eating, could he?

“Sit down, join

for the al,” he commanded, akin to an emperor, from his seat at the dining table.

Gu Qiangwei hesitated for a few seconds, but didn’t refuse and promptly sat down at the table.

She wasn’t hungry; she was just afraid he might feel lonely eating by himself.

And judging by his appearance, he was still angry.

She certainly didn’t want to clash with him at this ti.

After dinner, Gu Qiangwei went upstairs to take a bath.

When she ca out, Qin Sijue had not yet returned to the room.

It seed he usually busied himself until late before returning to his room, so she decided to go to bed first.

Just as she was about to lie down, the familiar ringtone of her phone suddenly went off.

She reached out yet again, picking up the cellphone from the nightstand, and saw it was an unknown number.

She furrowed her brows, hesitating for a few seconds before finally answering, “Hello?”

“May I speak to Gu Qiangwei?”

A strange man’s voice ca from the other end of the line.

“Speaking.”

“Sorry to disturb you. I’m from Jingcheng Public Security Bureau. Do you have a mont now?”
