Chapter 163: Chapter 163 Where Did You Sleep Last Night?

Facing the cold iron gate, Gu Qiangwei stood still for a long ti before she ca to her senses and glanced at the desolate lights in the courtyard.

The hands hanging by her sides clenched into fists unconsciously.

Her origins had beco a mystery overnight, and now she could not even enter her own ho.

She still had too many puzzles to solve, wishing for answers from her father’s lips, yet all hopes had been shattered.

Disheartened, she turned around, lowering her face as she settled into the black Bugatti.

She held the steering wheel, pondered for a long ti, then started the car and slowly drove towards Jueyuan.

By the ti she arrived, it was already past nine in the evening, and although she had skipped dinner, she didn’t feel the slightest bit hungry.

Dragging her tired body and steps, she went straight to the second floor.

Imrsing herself in a bath, she was lost in thought and didn’t notice the water cooling until she stood up, put on a set of pajamas, and got into bed.

As she tried to sleep, she suddenly realized it was nearly ten o’clock at night, but from earlier until now, she had not seen a glimpse of Qin Sijue.

Hadn’t he co back?

She turned her head, looking towards the door, and suddenly rembered his face turning dark in the hospital.

At that ti, he seed to be angry…

But what exactly was he angry about? She didn’t recall saying anything wrong.

Already weary, she didn’t have the energy to ponder any longer.

Lying in bed, sleep eluded her; her mind filled with a chaotic blend of thoughts until the sky lightened, and she finally succumbed to sleep.

Having gone to bed late, Gu Qiangwei didn’t stir until nine o’clock the next morning.

Opening her heavy eyelids, she looked at the empty room; Qin Sijue appeared not to have co back the previous night.

Throwing back the covers and getting out of bed, she walked to the washbasin, staring at her slightly swollen eyes in the mirror for a while before slowly picking up her toiletries to freshen up.

Twenty minutes had passed by the ti she went downstairs.

“Young Madam, you’re up.”

Upon seeing her, Qin Bo smiled respectfully in greeting.

Gu Qiangwei glanced at him, then took a look around the entire living room, still not seeing Qin Sijue.

Unable to help herself, she turned to Qin Bo, “Where is he?”

Qin Bo knew well that “he” she was asking about referred to Qin Sijue; his expression paused slightly, “Well, the Young Master is in the dining room. He ca downstairs early with a seemingly bad mood—are you two… did you have a fight?”

Before, Qin Bo wouldn’t think much of it if the Young Master was slightly unhappy because Qin Sijue was known to be moody.

But ever since the Young Madam arrived, whenever he was in a foul mood, Qin Bo would wonder if it was because the Young Madam had upset him.

Taken aback by his question, Gu Qiangwei hesitated for a mont.

They hadn’t argued, but he did seem to beco upset all of a sudden over sothing yesterday.

She gave Qin Bo a smile and, without answering, walked directly towards the dining room.

Upon entering, she saw Qin Sijue sitting there, expressionless.

After he saw her co in, his eyelids lifted slightly before falling again.

Coming up to the dining table, Gu Qiangwei eyed his expression as she sat down.

It was only after she took her seat that Qin Sijue picked up his chopsticks and began to eat.

It had to be said that his manners were exceptionally good; he could have eaten earlier but waited for her to join him.

During the al, Qin Sijue didn’t say a word, and the atmosphere in the dining room beca sowhat tense.

Gu Qiangwei, sitting across from him, occasionally lifted her gaze to look at the man’s emotionless face.

“Where did you sleep last night?”
