Capítulo 1463: Chapter 1464: A Crisp and Resounding Slap

And just at that mont, another door to the room was opened, revealing the figure of Dongfang Li coming out.

Out of instinct, Feng Jinglei paused subconsciously.

She quickly ca back to her senses, not wanting to have too much interaction with Dongfang Li.

“Stop right there.”

Just as she was about to turn around and go back to her room, Dongfang Li spoke.

Feng Jinglei stopped and turned to look at her, her expression sowhat cold.

She was well aware of how deep Dongfang Li’s hostility towards her was.

Looking at the figure standing at the doorway, Dongfang Li crossed her arms and walked over with arrogance, her eyes showing disdain and mockery.

“Flirting with your college senior while occupying Qin Feimo at the sa ti, I never thought that you, once a noble lady, could be so indiscreet.”

Hearing Dongfang Li’s provocative tone, Feng Jinglei’s dark eyes narrowed.

“Miss Dongfang, although I don’t understand what you’re talking about, none of my matters are for you to interfere with, nor do they require your comntary.”

With that, she intended to turn away.

“Stand right there!”

Stung by Feng Jinglei’s words, Dongfang Li was obviously not reconciled.

Feng Jinglei did indeed stop, but did not turn around.

Dongfang Li glared at her back, her sharp eyes like blades, brimming with murderous intent.

“Who do you think you are? Daring to speak to

like that?”

Listening to the cold voice behind her, Feng Jinglei sighed softly, then turned to et Dongfang Li’s gaze.

Unyielding, she said, “In terms of status, I indeed can’t compare to you, but as you said, I am nobody, and you are nobody to ; it’s my right to speak as I wish.”

“You!”

Spoiled since childhood, Dongfang Li naturally couldn’t stand such humiliation.

Not to ntion the fallen Feng Family now, even in its heyday, it couldn’t compete with the Dongfang Family!

“If there’s nothing else, please don’t bother .”

After casting her a glance, Feng Jinglei turned to go back to her room.

But just as she stepped inside, her body was suddenly grabbed by a hand, and before she could react, a force violently pulled her over, and a vicious slap landed on her face unexpectedly.

“Slap!”

The sound of the slap was crisp and clear, making the originally quiet corridor seem even more spacious.

Feng Jinglei was stunned by the slap, as she couldn’t have imagined that Dongfang Li, born from a noble family, would casually hit soone.

Covering her slapped cheek, she looked at Dongfang Li in disbelief.

Dongfang Li, on the other hand, was quite proud, thinking Feng Jinglei didn’t retaliate because of her current downtrodden status, and dared not counterattack.

She certainly knew what kind of disaster it would bring if she dared to hit Dongfang Li.

Thinking this, Dongfang Li beca even more smug, with a sneering smile on her lips, “Humph, overestimating yourself! Not only now, but even in the past, the Feng Family couldn’t compete with

for a man, understand?”

Her cheek was still burning with pain.

From a noble lady to having nothing overnight, losing both parents, indeed from then, Feng Jinglei beca more self-abased, but she had a very strong sense of self-esteem.

“Do you know?” She suddenly countered, looking at Dongfang Li.

Dongfang Li was taken aback by her counter-question and felt her calm eyes were sowhat eerie.

“What?” She frowned, puzzled.

Feng Jinglei put down her hand from her cheek, her gaze serene like a calm lake, yet carried a depth that was imasurable.

“Right now, I have nothing, no attachnts, no threats.”
