Capítulo 1415: Chapter 1416: We’re Not Eating at the Company

Feng Jinglei was still lost in childhood mories and only slightly ca to her senses upon entering the elevator. She looked up, catching a glimpse of the man’s calm profile.

Did he really not rember, or was he deliberately ignoring what happened by the sea?

She had always believed that he rembered her, but just dismissed the past as unworthy of ntion.

In the elevator, Feng Jinglei stared blankly at the man beside her, while Qin Feimo’s gaze remained fixed on the descending floor number.

As if sensing her gaze, Qin Feimo suddenly turned his head, his deep eyes eting her dark ones.

“What are you looking at?”

When his profound gaze touched hers, she paused slightly, then lowered her eyes a second later, “Nothing.”

“Ding!”

The elevator doors opened, and Qin Feimo was the first to step out, heading towards the company cafeteria.

The familiar corridor pulled Feng Jinglei out of her thoughts. Realizing that the employee cafeteria was just ahead, her expression froze, and her steps suddenly halted!

Through the glass wall, seeing the bustling and noisy employee cafeteria, she didn’t want to walk in with him so openly as the focus of the entire company, or worse, the thorn in the eyes of all female employees!

“Qin Feimo!” she called out in a low growl from behind him!

He stopped in his tracks, turning to look at her in surprise, “Hmm?”

Seeing that so people had already finished lunch and were walking out of the cafeteria, Feng Jinglei panicked. Instinctively, she rushed over, extending both hands to hold his arm and drag him back into the elevator!

“What are you doing?” he frowned slightly, watching her panicked expression.

“We, we’re not eating in the company!”

He withdrew the arm she was holding, staring at her with interest, “You’re treating ?”

She paused, telling the truth, “I have no money, eat or don’t eat, I’m going up!”

With that, she imdiately reached out and pressed the button for the finance departnt’s floor.

Just as her hand touched the elevator button, Qin Feimo suddenly reached out and wrapped her slender, fair hand in his palm, “My treat.”

Such simple words, Feng Jinglei heard them, but her gaze fixed on his hand tightly gripping hers.

Qin Feimo only intended to stop her from pressing the button unconsciously, and the next second, he quickly released her hand and inclined to press the button for the 1st floor.

The whole movent was unintentional for Qin Feimo, but it stirred countless ripples in Feng Jinglei’s heart.

As they walked out of M Group’s main gate, they chose a local restaurant nearby, ordering a few local dishes.

Looking at the dishes gradually being served by the waiters, Feng Jinglei noticed once again that these were dishes she usually liked to eat?

Could it be another coincidence?

Perhaps.

She didn’t think much of it, lowering her head and picking up her chopsticks to eat.

“Grandpa and Grandma will be back in a few days.”

“…” Feng Jinglei looked up, sowhat surprised by the news.

“Oh.” She lowered her head, responding softly.

For her, this news was a pleasant surprise.

She had thought that Grandpa and Grandma Qin were traveling the world and would take a long ti to return, but she didn’t expect them to co back so soon.

Since they left, the vast Commander Residence had only her and Qin Feimo. Although there were servants, they returned to their rooms after cleaning up dinner, leaving just her and Qin Feimo, which often made her feel quite uncomfortable.

The lunch continued, both falling into silence.

As he watched her eat quietly, Qin Feimo looked up, as if sothing had crossed his mind.
