Capítulo 1361: Chapter 1362: If I Don’t Show Up, You Can’t Go Anywhere!

He spoke and then turned away, leaving her behind.

But after taking just a few steps, he seed to rember sothing and turned his head to stare at her, “By the way, since you’re attending the annual gala, wait for

in the office after work today. Don’t go anywhere unless I’m there!”

After dropping those words, his perfect silhouette disappeared around the corner of the restroom door.

Feng Jinglei was utterly stunned, standing there motionless.

Not going anywhere after work?

But she just promised Xiang Jinnan…

“Jinglei!”

While pondering, a familiar voice sounded from behind her.

She turned upon hearing it and saw Xiang Jinnan walking toward her.

“Jinglei, what’s wrong?”

Looking at the man in front of her, his simple smile felt like a ray of sunshine in the winter, warm and comforting.

She smiled, “I’m fine.”

Xiang Jinnan’s gaze drifted to the position behind her, from the direction she was standing earlier, guessing that she had just co out of the restroom yet stood motionless facing the other way. There must have been sothing attracting her gaze.

The only person Xiang Jinnan could think of was Qin Feimo.

“Are you ready?” he asked gently, staring at the woman in front of him.

Feng Jinglei pursed her lips and smiled, “Yes.”

“Then let’s go.”

She hesitated, “Weren’t you coming to the restroom?”

Xiang Jinnan chuckled, “No, I ca to check because you hadn’t returned for so long.”

She said nothing more, returning to the elegant seating area with him.

The lunchti break was over, and after having lunch, the three of them parted ways.

Of course, it was Chen Feng who accompanied her back to M Group.

On the way, Feng Jinglei kept thinking about Qin Feimo, pondering why he suddenly wanted her to attend the 30th anniversary gala with him. Since she started residing at the Commander Residence three years ago, not only would he not take her anywhere, but even with Ma Qianqian, he never took her to any public event.

This ti, however, he took the initiative to ask her to join him, and as his partner no less; it was all too unusual.

.

Fast forward to the afternoon, at 5:25 PM, people in the finance departnt’s general office were quietly packing up their things, ready to leave.

Feng Jinglei sat at her desk, rembering Qin Feimo’s words about waiting for him in the office. If he didn’t arrive, she couldn’t go anywhere.

Just as she was deep in thought, a familiar phone ringtone interrupted her contemplation.

With a glance, she saw it was Xiang Jinnan calling.

“Hello?”

“Jinglei, it’s almost ti to leave work. Should I co pick you up?” Xiang Jinnan asked cheerfully, looking forward to the movie they planned to watch together.

Feng Jinglei heard this, but had no choice but to disappoint him.

“Jinnan, I’m sorry, but I can’t watch the movie with you tonight.”

Upon hearing this, Xiang Jinnan was taken aback, and his smile stiffened.

“Why not?”

“I…” She didn’t know how to talk about Qin Feimo’s matter, and she was aware that backing out wasn’t a polite thing to do.

But her subconscious seed to not be able to resist Qin Feimo.

“I have sothing I need to do and I can’t go.”

The phone was silent for a few seconds, and Xiang Jinnan couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed, “Is there nothing you can shift around?”

“Sorry, can we watch the movie next ti? I did promise, and I don’t want to go back on my word. Let’s schedule this for another day.”

Hearing her suggestion seed to bring so relief to Xiang Jinnan’s disappointed heart. It appeared he had already expected this from her.
