Capítulo 1206: Chapter 1207: End of the Li Huo Arc (15)

Yes, after all her previous behaviors, under the weight of guilt, the old lady couldn’t bring herself to speak to Huo Yishan calmly.

But as she was about to turn away, she caught sight of the great-grandson in Xia Xing’s arms, and her movent halted.

She really wanted to see her great-grandson, although she’d seen photos of him when he was in confinent, sent to her by her son.

Now it’s been a month since his full month celebration; she wondered how that little guy had changed.

Standing at the dining room entrance, the old lady gazed longingly at the great-grandson in Xia Xing’s arms.

Huo Yishan, puzzled, followed her gaze and realized she was looking at little Qi.

From her look, did she want to hold little Qi? But if she wanted to hug him, why not just co over directly, instead of watching from afar?

The old lady was lost in her gaze; as her eyes shifted, she realized Huo Yishan was staring at her. Feeling uneasy, she quickly averted her gaze and turned to enter the dining room to sit down first.

“Grandmother.”

At this mont, Li Yuan spoke up.

Hearing her son’s voice, Xia Xing, who was playing with her grandson, looked up and saw the old lady standing nearby.

Facing her grandson’s clear eyes, the old lady paused, glanced at Huo Yishan beside him, still not knowing what to say.

And all of this seed to be seen through by Li Yuan.

Just then, Li Xiangyang also walked out of the kitchen and helped her toward the sofa.

Being forcibly led toward the sofa by her son, the old lady still found it difficult to face Huo Yishan.

“Mom, have a seat.”

With Li Xiangyang’s help, the old lady was seated in a single armchair.

Looking up, she found herself face to face with Huo Yishan.

Her expression froze montarily, and she quickly lowered her eyes.

The two of them had their own thoughts; one didn’t know how to face the situation, the other thought she still hadn’t accepted her.

“Grandmother, do you want to see little Qi?” Li Yuan spoke directly, seeing through the old lady’s thoughts.

Perhaps through the child, she would be more at ease.

The old lady looked up at her grandson, then at her great-grandson, and stayed silent, but her eyes couldn’t hide anything.

Seeing this, Xia Xing imdiately understood, stood up with her grandson, and walked toward the old lady.

Smiling, she said, “Mom, why don’t you hold him?”

The weather was hot, and little Qi was only wearing a bellyband and a thin romper; his black eyes were very adorable.

Seeing him, the old lady felt a rush of joy in her heart, a smile spreading across her face.

“I, I want to hold him!” Seeing her great-grandson brought right up to her, the old lady imdiately ignored the hint of unease in her heart, placed her cane aside, and took little Qi in her arms.

“What a lovely little angel…” She looked up, naturally and familiarly at Xia Xing, “Xing, doesn’t he look just like Yuan when he was little?”

Xia Xing smiled, “I said the sa thing when I just ca in.”

The more the old lady looked, the more she liked him.

Then, as if realizing she had co this far, not knowing how to proceed, she understood it would have to be her to take the step.

Holding the little treasure in her arms, the old lady moved her gaze from the beautiful little face to look at Huo Yishan sitting there.
