Chapter 278 - New Place
Just as he promised to his wife, Lu Chen shared with his wife about the progress in his investigation about Albert and the ambush that happened to her elder brother in Arica.
Xiu i got very worried about her elder brother and when she heard that the ambush was most likely related to Albert. She recalled the her photo and the other three photos of hers including Lu Chen.
She sighed in relief as she completely understood Lu Chen’s choice to move out of their previous place. Albert was truly bolder than most people she t. He had the guts to appear before her while the military and Lu Chen’s n is currently after him, and he gave her a gift like a warning that he intends to do sothimg again.
She was baffled. Even from before they realized that his gifts were connected and had anings, Albert kept giving them warnings that he’s going to move. But he always kept his traces so clean just like how he erased his past record and his involvent to other people.
It was very contradicting that she was confused.
The couple finally stepped inside the villa. Xiu i’s eyes automatically road around the unfamiliar place and was extrely amazed by the sight before her.
Her Grandfather Xiu was quite interested in pottery and paintings so Xiu i was exposed to various antique vases and expensive paintings.
So the mont she laid eyes on that big wall of painting as soon as she opened the door entrance, she was genuinely attracted to it and even if she wasn’t an expert, she knew that this type of wall painting was very expensive.
The inside of the villa was a combination of modern interior and oriental culture. It was a weird pairing but whoever did the interior design of this place was extrely talented to make those two designs coexist in harmony in this ho design.
All in all, Xiu i was very happy to move into this beautiful space. The only difference that she noticed was the lack of people roaming around the mansion. Everything was so quiet and serene as if only her and Lu Chen inside.
"Where’s little Qiang? And the others?"
Did he leave the butler and the other helpers in the old house?
Lu Chen walked over to her side and naturally grabbed her waist pulling her closer to his side.
"Well, this place is a bit special so I couldn’t bring the others here. Lu Qiang was still sleeping upstairs before I left to pick you up. Must have been so tired when packing up his things so quickly last night."
"Oh."
She initially wanted to kiss and hug her son as soon as she got ho but since his tired, she could waited later once he wakes up.
Xiu i focused next on the first half of what he said about the fact that the others aren’t allowed in this place.
She wasn’t surprised but she pondered about the other problem, "So does that an we’ll be the ones to maintain this place while we stay here?"
Xiu i raised her eyes while scratching her cheek. This ti, she gulped worriedly at the amount of cleaning that they’ll need to do if only the three of them are really going to stay here.
"Don’t worry. A housekeeper will drop by here every morning to clean since we’re not usually at ho by that ti." Lu Chen assured her.
She raised one of her brow and asked again, "What about our als?"
"We can do it ourselves." He said confidently. Xiu i looked at him strangely.
When she just got married to Lu Chen, the three of them would usually cook their own dinner as their family ti together. Then in the morning, she would prepare Lu Qiang’s lunch for school so that he won’t need to eat so much unhealthy stuff at school.
Well, she was actually fine with cooking dinner daily and prepare their breakfast and lunch as well. She didn’t really mind waking up extra early to cook breakfast. But it’s not like she has a consistent schedule ah.
What happens if she suddenly needs to do overti? What happens to their son who is still too young to cook his own food ah?
While she was already thinking of a plan on how to make her schedule work, Lu Chen spoke again.
"We can take turns in cooking, wife." He stated proudly before kissing her on the cheek.
"...."
.....did he just say he was also going to cook?
In a split second, her mind flashbacked on the egg with egg shells he cooked for her before and the shrimp pasta that had a bit of a funny aftertaste.
Well... ignoring the egg disaster, the pasta were definitely palatable but......no matter how much she loves him, she really wasn’t confident about her husband’s skills in cooking.
Sohow, she understood why he only worked as a server in the restaurant.
"Wife," Lu Chen turned Xiu i’s body in front of him and lifted her chin, "what do you want to eat? Does the baby want to eat anything? I can cook it for you!"
He looked so excited when he was saying it that made Xiu i speechless for a mont.
.....oh my god, why is he so determined to cook for her again ah?!
Mrs. Lu must have forgotten the endless praises she sang to Mr.Lu’s creamy shrimp pasta during their dinner date.
Speaking of the baby, Xiu i was reminded of sothing.
"Chenchen, did you already tell Lu Qiang that he’s going to be a big brother?" Her brows furrowed as she looked at him. The second Lu Chen avoided her gaze, she knew his answer.
She slapped his arm in annoyance when she realized that her husband were still not done in his childish revenge to their son. My gosh! How is he the a.d.u.l.t one here?!
"Aren’t you being too much?" She pinched him on yhe waist next and Lu Chen cried out softly as she pinched him harder.
"Are you seriously going to keep a grudge to your own son ah?"
Lu Chen imdiately grabbed her wrist to stop her from pinching him and held her other hand to prevent her from moving as well. He pressed her body into his and w.h.i.n.ed.
"But wife, you’re mine. You married , didn’t you? So you’re mine." He complained like a kid whose lollipop got stolen.
Xiu i knew that this guy was trying to act cute in front of her but she heartlessly ignored it.
"Didn’t you originally propose to to beco Lu Qiang’s mother ah? So Lu Qiang spending ti is just right." She heartlessly stabbed him to a s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e spot.
She felt his body froze for a second.
"...but I didn’t know that I’ll beco so possessive of you back then....." She heard him mutter under his breath.
Right, who would have thought that the cold emperor was actually this childish ah? Getting jealous over their own son.
"Wife," Lu Chen’s face turned serious that she was suddenly confused. "Do you love him more than now?"
"..."
How much vinegar did this guy really drink ah?
Seeing that Xiu i wasn’t responding to his question, Lu Chen pouted at his wife. Xiu i couldn’t believe her eyes. Seeing Lu Chen acting coy with her.... for a mont, she was suddenly confused whether it was her or Lu Chen who was pregnant and having moodswings ah.
"Wife, you don’t love anymore?" He suddenly stated that made Xiu i raise her her and look at her husband in disbelief.
She thought for a mont before answering, "What if I say that I love little Qiang more?"
The mont those words left her mouth, Lu Chen’s eyes changed. Xiu i suddenly found herself in the air, being carried by him upstairs. She hugged his neck in reflex and montarily panicked at his actions.
"Wai--"
Xiu i sensed a foreboding.
"Hey, I’m pregnant! We can’t---" Her words were cut off when Lu Chen laid her down on the bed and climbed over her body.
She raised her head and was t with a pair of eyes that completely revealed his rogue intentions.
"The doctor said only penetration is forbidden right?"
