Chapter 207 - Her Day - Part 1
Xiu i found herself with completely nothing to do and an empty schedule for the whole day. She didn’t want to spend it dazing off again just like before, and she wasn’t happy just being cooped up at ho just to hide her current situation.
And so, Xiu i hung out with her girl best friends for today. She vaguely explained her current situation and combined with Bei Jia Ying’s popularity, the five of them chose sowhere private.
"Oh. My. Gosh. Is this my goddaughter whom I haven’t seen for so long?!" Huan Qiao Qing squealed as soon as they arrived at Lia’s private resort. She and Huan Qiao Qing bumped into each other at the entrance, and so after a quick chat, both of them entered Lia’s resort.
They were welcod by the sight of a little girl in a cute pink dress looking like she was running away from her nanny.
"Julie!" Lia appeared shortly after and saw the two won by the entrance. "Oh! You’re here!"
"Xiu i, it’s been a while." Lia greeted. Xiu i could only nod in response and handed her a paper bag.
"Oh my, you didn’t have to! Thank you for this."
"I have one too!" Huan Qiao Qing stopped looking at Julie and handed her gift to Lia. "You should have told us you’ll bring your lovely daughter! We could have prepared a gift for her too! Right, Xiu i?"
Xiu i followed her words and nodded, glancing at the little girl still being chased by the nanny. Lia shook her head and replied with a helpless tone, "I wasn’t supposed to bring her here but she heard talking about it to my husband this morning and insisted to co with . I couldn’t say no or she’ll just bawl her eyes out the entire morning until we give in."
Huan Qiao Qing and Xiu i giggled as they watched Julie on the side.
"Is that why you’re bringing us to the spa today?" Huan Qiao Qing mumbled with a playful smile on her face. "You must have been pulling an allnighter taking care of your daughter and *coughs* your husband, right?"
They were all a.d.u.l.ts so Xiu i and Lia understood what she was implying.
"Shut your mouth or I’ll kick you out!" Lia warned slapping Huan Qiao Qing’s arm lightly while getting slightly embarrassed because she couldn’t exactly deny that.
Xiu i silently giggled as she watched the two of them banter with each other.
"Oh, wait. I haven’t formally introduced to you Julie, right? Julie! Co here to mommy for a second." Lia rembered. The little girl with blonde hair and brown eyes stared at Xiu i and Huan Qiao Qing in curiousity.
"Do you rember Aunt Qiao Qing?" Lia carried the child to her arms and pointed at Huan Qiao Qing.
"Sister!" Huan Qiao Qing interrupted.
"Dream on." Lia retorted. Julie nodded in response to her mother’s answer. Huan Qiao Qing’s eyes sparkled and were very delighted that her goddaughter could rember her!
"Only Julie truly loves ah!" And then she attempted to pull the little girl into a hug but was quickly stopped by Lia. And then she turned to Xiu i’s direction and started introducing her to her daughter.
"This is also mommy’s friend. You can call her Aunt i. Say hello."
Xiu i flashed a wide smile at the little girl staring at her.
"Hello." Julie shyly greeted with her soft voice.
’Hello.’ Xiu i mouthed. Lia quickly rembered that Xiu i’s circ.u.mstances and so she didn’t make it hard for Xiu i.
Julie tilted her head as she waited for Xiu i’s reply but Lia quickly put her down after introducing her to Xiu i.
"Aunt Qiao Qing and Aunt i will play with you next ti, okay?"
"...Mhm."
"Don’t tire out your nanny and run around without her. If you need Mom, just tell nanny so I can co to you, rember?"
Julie nodded and listened to her mother’s words before continuing playing with her nanny again.
Lia pulled the two of them into the lounge area while waiting for Bei Jia Ying and Li Jing Yan to arrive. The other two arrived shortly after and just like Huan Qiao Qing, the two of them squealed over Julie first before they finally started their schedule.
Lia’s private resort has everything that they could ask for—Spa, Swimming Pool, Sauna, Jacuzzi, and Massage Room for relaxation activities. They also have a Golf course, Archery Range, Tennis and Badminton Court, Equestrian Facility, and Skating Rink. Clearly, the whole place screams how wealthy Lia is since this is her own private property that she built for herself.
"Damn, isn’t the limited edition archer bow that was released a month ago?! And you have one!" Jia Ying scread as she grabbed one of the bows hanging on the wall. They were currently on their way to the Archery Range.
"And you’re still updated with the most expensive stuff in the whole wide world." Qiao Qing chid in as she chose her bow.
"She always says she wants these and that but we never see her buy it at all," Lia added.
"Yeah, like last week. Didn’t she say that she wanted to buy that, what was it, uh... ah! That yellow diamond necklace with so gold in it? Wasn’t the auction three days ago? Jia Ying said she was going to attend but in the end, not even a shadow of hers appeared there at all." Jing Yan said while picking up so arrows.
’It was bought by the young lady of the Francoine Family that night.’ Xiu i typed and played the audio as she joined in on their chat.
The bullied Jia Ying:...
"You don’t love anymore."
Lia, "We actually don’t."
Xiu i, ’Nope.’
Qiao Qing, "Never did, and never will."
Jing Yan, "You’re on your own."
Jia Ying, "...tsk."
Almost bullied to tears by these four, Jia Ying resolutely delivered her revenge soday. While they busily chose their bow and arrows, Xiu received a ssage from Lu Chen. She temporarily laid down her arrows and read the ssage, however, it was just a picture of his lunch that was packed by the chef this morning.
A few seconds later, another ssage was sent by him.
Hubby President: Wife, I miss your food.
Hubby President: Are you having fun there?
Xiu i silently chuckled.
Secretary Wife: Oh. You didn’t wake up so that’s not my fault.
Secretary Wife: I’m having a good ti here. I might be late tonight though.
Hubby President: Want to pick you up?
Secretary Wife: Just take a rest. I’ll have the driver pick up.
Hubby President: I still want to pick you up. Just ssage what ti should I pick you up.
Secretary Wife: Are you sure?
Hubby President: Of course. Anything for my wife.
Hubby President: eting now. I need to go. I love you. See you later.
Secretary Wife: Mm. See you later.
Xiu i was busily chatting with Lu Chen that she didn’t notice that the other four had already gone silent and was already focused on her figure. She didn’t even notice a smile forming on her lips while she was exchanging ssages with her husband.
"Hubby President?" A voice suddenly spoke out loud.
’?!’ Xiu i was startled. She raised her head and saw Jing Yan beside her, trying to peek on her phone. She swiftly turned over her phone and held it to her chest. She looked at Jing Yan with wide eyes and disbelief.
"Ohhhh!!! Hubby President? Is that Mr.Lu’s na on your phone?!" Jia Ying squealed in delight and giddiness.
Lia also grinned and looked at her suspiciously, "What? Did you get married to Mr. Lu without us knowing?"
Qiao Qing added, "OMG! Is that true?!"
Xiu i stared at them in disbelief, completely hiding the waves of emotions underneath her expression. It’s not like she wanted to lie to them but... it’s been so many years and it’s not like she can imdiately beco honest and tell them that she was already actually married as per the papers in Civil Affairs Bureau.
Xiu i typed in her words, ’Funny. Ha. Ha.’
She sounded so sarcastic in her words that the four of them didn’t notice that it was just a lie.
Jia Ying ignored her words and exclaid dreamily, "But Xiu i calling Mr.Lu the hubby president, our little i have really grown up ah!"
Who’s your little i?!
"Hey, I didn’t imagine that cold CEO to be called Hubby President as well. I t him once before and he really looked so intimidating and scary. Xiu i, how did you manage to work for him for years ah?" Lia uttered.
"Maybe it’s based on her ideal type? Look, all these years Xiu i said she doesn’t have any ideal man at all. Maybe... Mr.Lu is actually her taste in n? The cold type but actually softy behind closed doors.�� Jia Ying said.
"No, it should be a beast ah. n are beasts behind closed doors is the unspoken rule." Qiao Qing chid in.
....why did their conversation suddenly switch into sothing rogue ah?
