When Ling Chuxia walked out of the police station, she was still a bit dazed, and Shi Che’s tall figure was leaning against the car, waiting for her. Seeing her co out, he imdiately straightened up and walked towards her.
Noticing Ling Chuxia’s dazed expression, Shi Che frowned deeply, his voice filled with concern, "Chuxia, what’s wrong? Why do you look so pale?"
The gentle voice lingered in her ears, and Ling Chuxia gradually ca back to her senses, eting Shi Che’s soft gaze. She curved her lips slightly and shook her head, "Don’t worry, I’m fine."
She was just deeply shocked by what Xiao Chen had said and done, unable to recover for the mont.
Shi Che was still uneasy, raising his hand to gently caress her cheek. Then, he reached out to Ling Chuxia, encircling her neck with one hand and lifting her knees with the other, carrying her in his arms.

Shi Che carefully placed Ling Chuxia in the passenger seat, fastening her seatbelt, and brushing back her hair before closing the car door. He walked around the car, sat in the driver’s seat, started the engine, and drove off smoothly.
Ever since Ling Chuxia had been pregnant, Shi Che drove the car smoothly and slowly. Ling Chuxia rolled down the window, watching the scenery slowly recede outside.
Although it was winter, today was a rare sunny day. The sun hung high in the sky, and the sunlight spread warmth across the ground. Even the wind carried a hint of warmth, unlike the bone-chilling days before.
Ling Chuxia squinted her eyes as she felt the breeze for a while, her emotions slowly calming down. Then she spoke softly, "Shi Che, do you know what Xiao Chen told ?"
She turned her face to look at Shi Che, her lips unconsciously forming a slight curve.
Shi Che glanced at her from the corner of his eye and, noticing the subtle curve of her lips, a trace of surprise flashed in his eyes. He didn’t think that Xiao Chen could say anything that would make her happy.

Suddenly, Shi Che seed to rember sothing. His eyes lit up, and he couldn’t help but tighten his grip on the steering wheel. Instead of answering Ling Chuxia imdiately, he turned the wheel and stepped on the brake, slowly bringing the car to a stop by the roadside. Once the car was steady, he turned to look at Ling Chuxia, his voice still low but with a barely noticeable tremble, "Hmm, what did he say?"
Shi Che’s sudden stop surprised Ling Chuxia slightly, but when she t Shi Che’s dark eyes, her smile deepened. Indeed, many things don’t need to be said explicitly; Shi Che knew and understood everything.
However... she still wanted to tell him herself.
Ling Chuxia turned her body, her large eyes bright, staring intently at Shi Che. Her red lips parted slightly, speaking each word clearly, "Shi Che, Xiao Chen told that nothing happened that night. I didn’t sleep with another man..."
Before she could finish her sentence, her cheeks were cradled, and the next mont, she felt her lips covered by a familiar warmth.
Ling Chuxia was briefly startled, but then she smiled, closed her eyes, and wrapped her arms around Shi Che, returning his kiss deeply.
