Ji Xinxin’s hands were clenched tightly, wishing she could drag out that bastard who bullied Ling Chuxia last night and destroy him.

"Hit ." Ling Chuxia curled up even more, hugging herself tightly.

Ji Xinxin’s throat felt choked, she opened her mouth but didn’t know what to say, wiped her tears, took a deep breath, and finally took out her phone to call Shi Che.

-

Eight o’clock sharp.

Shi Che had soone put on a bit of makeup, combed his hair, and wore that pure black suit. He always knew he was handso, but now standing in front of the full-length mirror, he realized for the first ti how dazzlingly handso he was.

There are four great joys in life: tily rain after a long drought, eting an old friend in a foreign place, the wedding night, and passing exams with flying colors.

But for Shi Che, his life’s joy was only about marrying Ling Chuxia and being united in heart with her.

Shi Che looked at himself up and down in the mirror, straightened his clothes again, his lips curved up at an angle, his black eyes full of gentle light.

He raised his hand, looked at the watch on his wrist, the ti was about right, he was about to go pick up his bride.

Suddenly, his phone rang. Shi Che instinctively tilted his head, then turned and walked to the table to pick up his phone. The na Ji Xinxin was flashing on the screen.

A hint of confusion crossed Shi Che’s black eyes. He swiped his finger and pressed the answer button, "Hello—"

Ji Xinxin’s voice ca from the other end, not her usual proud tone, but rather heavy, "Shi Che, Xiaxia asked to tell you, today’s wedding... is canceled."

Ji Xinxin spoke slowly, her words sliding into Shi Che’s ears one by one, leaving him montarily stunned, then as if he’d heard a terribly funny joke, "Not awake or drunk?"

"Shi Che, I’m not joking with you."

As Ji Xinxin spoke, her eyes unconsciously glanced at Ling Chuxia, who appeared dazed, took a deep breath, and continued, "This is Xiaxia’s decision."

Shi Che’s brows furrowed tightly, but there was no expression on his face as he decisively hung up on Ji Xinxin and directly dialed Ling Chuxia’s number.

Ji Xinxin abruptly heard the beeping sound in her ear, initially not reacting, but the next mont, Ling Chuxia’s phone rang.

She imdiately understood, this was indeed Shi Che’s style, he wouldn’t possibly listen to her.

Ji Xinxin couldn’t help but look at Ling Chuxia, whose phone was right by her feet. As the gentle music played and the screen lit up, Ling Chuxia’s stiff eyes moved slightly, glancing at the screen.

The word "Husband" was jumping happily on it, but in front of Ling Chuxia’s eyes, a mist suddenly appeared, blurring her vision.

Husband.

In her phone, she had originally saved Shi Che’s na simply as Shi Che, but sohow it had been quietly changed by him. What was once a sweet na had now beco a ridiculous mockery.

She should have put on the wedding dress today and married Shi Che, making him her rightful husband.

However, she could no longer get married.

Ling Chuxia just stared blankly at that phone as the ringing gradually faded and the screen dimd, tears suddenly overflowed, rolled down her face, and landed with a plop on the phone screen.

Then, in the next second, the phone rang again, still Shi Che.
